I stayed at Pakasai Resort in Ao Nang, Krabi for 2 nights (June 22–24) and couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful experience—especially for my birthday! I originally only hoped for a room upgrade, but the resort went far beyond my expectations and made my celebration truly unforgettable.
From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly warm and friendly. I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary room upgrade, and the surprises didn’t stop there. On my birthday, I was greeted with a beautiful birthday cake, a thoughtful message arranged on the bed, and genuinely heartfelt service throughout the day.
I also booked dinner at GAIA, the resort’s own restaurant, and was treated to a free cocktail to celebrate. The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent—it was the perfect birthday dinner.
The resort itself is cozy and peaceful, surrounded by lush greenery that makes you feel close to nature. The pool area is lovely and relaxing, and the entire resort has a calm, welcoming vibe.
Overall, I felt truly taken care of during my stay. I highly recommend Pakasai Resort to anyone visiting Ao Nang, especially if you're looking for a place that combines comfort, nature, and genuinely caring service. I’m already thinking about coming back!

PPengguna TetamuEl lugar es muy bonito, al pie de las montañas. Muy tranquilo y con un staff muy amable. Tienen un pick-up que te lleva y te trae de la playa de manera gratuita, aunque puedes ir dando un paseo por el mercado y las tiendas (30 minutos despacio). Las cabañas son espaciosas, acogedoras y muy bien aclimatadas. Repetiría sin dudarlo.

Near the small mosque( not walking distance due to hill) and eating area. Had a change to visit the night market nearby. Delicious street food and cheap!!

PPengguna TetamuWe really enjoyed our 4 day stay at this hotel. The hotel is very clean. Restaurant had good breakfast and lunch options.
We had a Mountain View room (lovely view) which was in fact a connecting room (adjoining locked door) which was a little awkward as you can hear your neighbours very clearly, maybe something to note on your booking if this is something you wouldn’t like.
The pool area was very well maintained, pool staff are happy to remove towels if people have reserved sunbeds with no intention of returning soon. Making it fair for everyone. The only downside for us was that the pool sunbeds are limited in our opinion and pool is relatively small (which also connects to the swim up rooms) again, if you are considering booking a swim up room, this may mean you don’t have a protected area as it adjoins to the public pool.
We were out and about on trips and beach days so the pool lounger availability didn’t bother us.
Overall we are happy and would return if we visited the area again!

PPengguna TetamuWe arrived to our room being sweltering hot. In fact it was cooler outside than it was inside. I understand that with current fuel prices being so high, that they aren’t going to leave the air con all day anticipating our arrival. They offered us a pass to put into the slot so the air con wouldn’t turn off if we left the room, but with our room being at the top of the mountain. I did expect for them to bring it to our room rather than making us treck back down and up again. The room wasn’t clean… shower head was black with mould, when pointed out this was rectified. We upgraded to a room with a bath but couldn’t use it as it leaked and flooded the bathroom when using. We notified the hotel, they sent someone to fix it but no compensation was offered despite paying an extra 5,000 baht for this feature and only being able to use it once.
Breakfast is like a horror show. I can only describe it as horrendous. My advice is save your money and don’t add breakfast to your room rate. Baked beans were cold, French toast was a thin slice of hoavis stuck to the bottom of the metal warmer. Yoghurt had flies in it - the only thing mildly edible was the egg station. Staff at breakfast was incredibly rude… we asked for some ice and lemon for our water, slices of lemon were thrown down at my husband, again notified reception and nothing was done.
This is a Muslim hotel so no alcohol is served at the bar, not a big deal as they allow you to bring in drink from the 7/11 across the road but it’s not really advertised very well.
Pool is lovely and the pool bar staff were nice, the rooms are good and shuttle service was ok. We only had a one issue of it taking half an hour to arrive. It is walkable if you’re fit - unfortunately I couldn’t walk up due to illness so had to wait out the 30 minutes.
Location is good. Ao Nang beach is about 20/25 minute walk but there are free shuttles (one way) offered by the hotel when they feel like it, but Grab Taxi’s are cheap and easy to get. Ao Nang night market is brilliant and about a 15 minute taxi ride away.
Would say it isn’t really worth the money is and more like a 3 star. It could be such a great hotel with improvements. A bit disappointed with it considering it was part of our honeymoon trip and feel we were let down.

EExpat EDventuresA porter met us at the port and kindly carried our bags to the hotel, which was a nice and welcoming start to our stay. The rooms were as described; however, the hotel itself feels quite dated and is in need of general maintenance and updating. There was a noticeable mold smell in the room initially, though this disappeared once the air conditioning was turned on.
Breakfast was enjoyable, with good coffee and made-to-order eggs. The private beach was a highlight—quiet, calm, and never crowded. The pool water itself was clean, but unfortunately the surrounding area was littered with cigarette butts. While we were relaxing at the pool, another family began smoking. We informed the front desk, but no action was taken, which was disappointing, especially as there were visible no-smoking signs.
The view from the fourth floor is truly spectacular. We did have one uncomfortable moment when housekeeping entered our room from the deck around 9 a.m. while we were packing. We greeted her immediately; she apologised and left. There was a Koi pond in the main lobby was sad as the fish in the side pond had insufficient water to swim upright.
This hotel could be amazing. Its peaceful location on an otherwise busy island, along with the dramatic cliffside setting and pool deck, gives it enormous potential. Unfortunately, it feels like the property has passed its peak, leaving a sense of missed opportunity rather than what it could still become.

PPengguna TetamuI really loved it here. The rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was really good, not a lot choices but everything was tasty. I really loved the fact that the manager walked around and talked to guests about their stay. Pool was huge and we loved it. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Location was quite distant but they offered a free shuttle rides to main street and beach. One thing: i didn’t like that the fishes were fed with bread by the hotel employees, buy them some fish feed :)

The hotel owner is very helpful and friendly. She even upgraded our room without extra cost .
She even organised someone to pick us up and carry our bags from the pear and from hotel to pear at check-in and check out . She even keeps our bags in a place near to pear for us to pick up in the afternoon for our ferry trip.
Staff is very friendly too.
We really enjoyed our two days stay and definitely recommend this hotel stay
