Khao Sok Las Orquideas Resort

A very unique en beautiful accommodation. When we arrived we were greeted by a very polite and friendly staff. Our luggage was carried to our room which was located up on a steep hill. When you arrive it feels like you are in a jungle, while also being in a luxurious hotel. You hear the sounds of the jungle, while enjoying the delicious food. Would recommend it 100%!

We had a wonderful time at this resort. Our host Mr Ohm(nibus) was the most perfect host one could ever imagine. A beautiful person, friendly and helpful with only the guests wellbeing in mind. The rest of the staff is also very kind, friendly and helpful, under the watchful eyes of mamma Tina, the owner's mother. Every day roomcleaning and changing of the towels is standard. A small scale resort with huge potential, the rooms are clean and beautifully situated in a lush green garden filled with all kinds of vegetation and many, many little frogs giving us a concert in the early evenings. Though the choice of breakfast on the menu isn't very large, our host Mr. Ohm(nibus) took care of all our wishes....boiled eggs instead of fried, extra bacon instead of potato crösti pancake etc. Even peanutbutter was on the menu! The last evening of our stay at las orquideas my wife and I were invited by Ohm(nibus) to join the entire staff for dinner to celebrate their short vacation (3 days) that was starting the next day. A wonderful experience and a great way to meet these wonderful people in the most personal way.

The hotel is located in the mainstreet of Khao sok village, so the restaurants, laundryservices and trip operaters are near to the hotel. The rooms are fine, nice shower, good beds, refrigerator and airco. The swimmingpool is small, but for a quick dive its fine. The owner can inform you clear about the many trips that will be offer you in Khao Sok. For breakfast you can choose from a couple of breakfast dishes, not special but fine.

We have visit this resort 9 and 11 januari. It was amazing!! Very nice people whom speak very good English. They arrange 2 tours and transfer. All very quick and correct. Breakfast was superb! Will defiantly come back if ever in Thailand again!

We decided to stay overnight in Khao sok as part of our holiday. We arrived by bike much earlier than the check in time and were met by Katelyn and their two and a half week old son. Our room wasn’t ready but Katelyn was super friendly and allowed us to leave our bags with her. We headed into town for a wander and something to drink: When we got back we met Michael who was also super friendly and welcoming. They have only recently reopened after taking over and renovating the place. The bungalow we had was lovely and had everything we needed. The grounds were just like being in a rain forest and the small pool was great to cool off in. The location was convenient being just on the edge of Khao Sok village and was a 5 min walk to the bars and restaurants. Breakfast was really chilled and tasty with a number of options, we had the pancakes which were amazing and very filling. Both Michael and Katelyn were amazing hosts and very knowledgeable about the area and able to book trips if required. We both enjoyed chatting to them and which them every success in their adventure. You will not be disappointed if you chose to stay here.
