Gorgeous, unpretentious, quiet, comfortable & secure, Soul Beach Boutique Hotel & Spa delivers @ an affordable price. We felt extremely looked after by all the staff; Erick, Axel, Osvaldo, Alisa, Rosalie, Felix,Hector, Aldo & ILario alllll made us feel taken care of. What a beautiful stay we had. Eight nights of being spoiled. Breakfast (we don't like to have to ”hunt” for Breakfast, wherever we are) was simple & perfect,,offering familiar basics + a few Mexican specialties. We particularly liked the hours; Breakfast available until NOON every day,,bonus. Housekeeping was 5* & Front desk staff were always attentive to anything we requested. It was our Anniversary & I had messaged prior to our arrival details about it. We were pleasantly surprised with a beautiful floral & creative display in our room. Attention to detail & helpful/friendly staff totally endeared us to this 31 room Boutique Hotel. Intimate/quiet setting yet just steps away from lively & often loud 5th Avenue. EASY to get too when arriving by taxi or walksble from ADO bus (from Cancun Airport, for example) Rooftop Pool & Bar offered a real pleasant escape from alllll the ”touristy” stuff going on down on 5th Ave. Bartender Erick always made sure we were looked after, yet wasn't ”in our face” or pushing further drinks on us either. The owner needs to be commended on hiring such pleasant & team oriented staff; all of them were always accommodating & approachable. Perhaps a few more surfaces in our Suite to ”lay things out”, & maybe adding black tea options to the tea offerings @ breakfast, but even just mentioning that seems so ”first world problems”. & so minor. We'd definitely stay here again. We travel frequently & have experience/exposure to the ”good the bad & the ugly”. We stayed at Soho Playa for 5 nights and we were super comfortable. The rooms are big, have everything you need, a fridge, AC, big bathrooms, a little terrace, and they go above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. I had some requests and they not only provided what I needed but exceeded my expectations. I read many reviews and people were complaining about the breakfast and i do not undertand, it is better than nothing, you get coffe and bread take it or leave it, it is included, at least it is something. Also it is very convenient that they are next to a juice/salad/poke bowl place, we ate there a few times. The location was really good, they came to clean once every two days which was good enough for us. I really wanted to thank Gabriela becuase she went above and beyond when i had a request, she helped us out so much during out stay. The only thing i would say they could improve is the common terrace in the pool area, it looks like it needs more maintenance, but it works for the purpose of using the pool to relax for a bit.

I don’t think I have ever left a 1 star review before but wow, this place earned it. I want to preface this review with the fact that I have stayed in PDC at least 8 times in the last 6 years and have never had to move hotels before. The initial greeting and check in process was good, no issues there, but after that it went downhill. I booked a junior suite room because the pictures online looked great, and definitely gave a couples vibe with a double shower and large jacuzzi tub. Once we got into our room, we noticed it was not as nice as the pictures which wasn’t a big deal honestly. But, the tub was pretty stained with hard water build up, and the stopper didn’t really work very well. It either leaked or wouldn’t come undone once you got it to stop leaking. Then when we went to use the double shower, the drain didn’t work properly and caused water to go everywhere outside of the shower. They did not provide a towel to go on the floor outside of the shower either, and instead had a rug near the bathtub that looked worn/dirty. They had not refilled the shampoo/conditioner/body wash before we got there, there was not a soap tray for the hand soap bar, there is no mini fridge, we noticed ants and other bugs crawling on the ground, etc, lots of little things that continued to add up. We had rented bikes which is super common for the area, and they at first seemed like they didn’t have parking for them which I found odd. Someone finally said we could park them downstairs in the garage and they made us carry them down the stairs instead of using the elevator?? It was so weird and honestly super difficult to navigate the bikes down a narrow 180 degree style staircase. I actually ended up cutting my leg on the bike as I brought it down. After we got back to our room for the night, we were shocked at how LOUD it was! I had read reviews about noise so I had brought ear plugs but wow. It was still so noisy! Between the rooftop and the bar next door, it was practically unbearable. We ended up checking out early and having to pay for another hotel which was another unexpected expense, since we couldn’t get a refund. We weren’t even asked why we were checking out early/if there was a problem. I’m not sure who would be a good candidate for this hotel, maybe some really young adults that plan on partying all night and sleeping all day and don’t care much about cleanliness/functionality?

Hotel is close to the Main Street where all the bars , restaurants and clubs, but the beach area not really made for swimming, there are parking for boats so smell like gasoline.

The hotel looks nice, but is very noisy. Specially during mornings when you are sleeping. The restaurant on first floor starts working from 6:30 am and walls are very thin. So you hear lots of noise and hard to sleep well. But still they have good promotions for free messages and other stuff. I recommend getting a room on 3rd floor to have least noise.

Ubicación ideal. Desayuno correcto. El Spa y su servicio excelente. Limpieza y atención de recepción son aspectos a mejorar. En cualquier caso, buena experiencia.
