Hotel di Port-Bou

Great location only a short distance from the action, quiet, with incredible views from every room. Right on the beach, also a very nice pool. Room was clean and pleasantly decorated, fully stocked with bathroom supplies. Fridge was stocked as well, with beverages I assume you pay for if you use. The key is required to turn on the light, AC and fridge - not uncommon of hotels in this region, but it meant that if you had both keys out of the room to go somewhere, the fridge and AC shut off. If gone all day, room heats up, as does fridge, and both were pretty steamy when we first arrived. Warm beer. Mmm... maybe not. Walk through the restaurant to get to the beach or pool - means parading past diners when a little sandy or wet from swimming. Pay €3 with a €15 deposit PER TOWEL to rent towels for beach or pool a little off-putting. Also pay for beach chairs. €7 per chair no matter how long you use them. Found the breakfast buffet a little pricey too. Added to the AC turning on only when we were in the room, and the stocked - pay for use - fridge, and we felt a little nickel&dimed. Front desk staff was a mixed bag of friendly and surly, and we kept having to ask for ice at the bar from the busy bar staff. All in all, it wasn't a bad stay, but if I were to return to Roses, I might try a guest-friendlier accommodation.

Very comfortable. For a small charge, we were able to extend our stay for 3 hours and thus helped a sickly child. The breakfast was adequate and server super accommodating. Parking was across the street, so bringing our suitcases in was easy.

A decent hotel with decent food and decent staff. But I give a low score for ONE REASON: There was a large group of special needs people using the hotel. From my experience working with autistic adults, there is no way these individuals should be sharing busy spaces - sometimes unattended - with young children. Their support workers were not good enough and these guests were walking alone around the restaurant - grabbing utensils and food from small children. At times the restaurant was like a farmyard - loud snorting and braying sounds. Guests constantly on edge, especially with their children. There are special hotels for these individuals and unfortunately they ruined the atmosphere and relaxation for a lot of guests. At one point one of the special needs adults tried to get into the lift with my children, who already had to leave the restaurant because of the sound of another one of them vomiting on his table. That nothing was done about this for the 7 days I was there is not acceptable. There were other security problems around the hotel but most importantly, they should not be accepting these large groups because it disrupts the enjoyment of guests.

Hemos estado hospedados un fin de semana con dos niñas pequeñas, nos dieron un apartamento una habitación y en el comedor dos sofás. Al ir a reclamar nos dijeron que no había nada más, estamos hablando de un edificio de nueve plantas principios de mayo ( no es temporada alta), les pedimos sábanas y almohadas y parece que no fue de su agrado dicha solicitud. Necesita remodelación urgente. El apartamento da a la parte trasera, donde se ubican varios bares musicales...Intentar dormir... es tener suerte con las peleas de los jóvenes y la música sin límite. Respecto al buffet del desayuno muy pero que muy escaso. No volveré ni lo recomendaré

Great little hotel - in a great location opposite the Port of Roses and the Marina, at one end of a promenade, and a 2 minute walk to the beach. It has a pool - and the poolside area is spotlessly clean - as, indeed, is the whole hotel Rooms are comfortable, and all of them have a balcony, and at least a partial view of the sea. Our room was the cheapest available, and the view from the balcony was stunning. Breakfasts are excellent, catering for all tastes. The hotel is reasonably priced, and for a quick trip away, it was good value for money. Car parking at the hotel itself is highly restricted, but there are 'drop off' places for you to drop off your bags. There are two car parks within a minutes walk (over the road in front of the hotel, and over the road to the side) that are free to use.

Perfecte ligging met prachtig zicht op de zee , het strand en de boulevard. Mooie ruime kamers , bijna een appartement. Een apart salon met tv en zetel en tafel , een mini bar koelkast ! Echt een aanrader Personeel super behulpzaam en vriendelijk Lekker uitgebreid ontbijt buffet. Perfect hotel op perfecte ligging!!!
