The hotel is elegant and decadent. Conveniently situated and a short distance to the city main shopping high street and amenities. The bedroom was tasteful, spacious and quiet. Staff are attentive and friendly that created that level of ambience. Special gratitude to the concierge gentleman and the young waitress at breakfast. Breakfast buffet and in my opinion provided a good selection for our requirements. It's a shame that the hotel restaurant was not opened in the evening as we would of loved to have dined in it for one of our evening stays. However, we did enjoy our stay there. The only negative really was that there was no coffee/tea making facilities in our room. I would of expected this as a standard particularly in a 5 star hotel. That said, we would recommend the hotel. It's beautiful, ideally situated, and like I said, the staff were friendly.

Wir waren für 3 Nächte im Falkensteiner Hotel und hatten ein normales Doppelzimmer. Zunächst zum Positiven: Das Frühstück ist wirklich gut und zusätzlich zum Buffet werden auf Bestellung frische Sachen wie Omelettes, Porige & Co serviert. Am Buffet könnte es etwas mehr vegane Auswahl geben. Außer einem Humus und alternativer Milch gab es nicht viel. Dies passt nicht zu einem modernen jungen Hotel. Dennoch kann man sagen, dass das Frühstück frisch, liebevoll und ausreichend reichhaltig gestaltet ist. Auch das Personal beim Frühstück ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam! Was wir jedoch noch nie erlebt haben ist, dass das Buffet wirklich pünktlich schließt und sofort alles weggeräumt wird. Das ist ungemütlich und passt auch nicht zu einem gehobenen Hotel. Nun zu den negativen Aspekten: Im großen und ganzen waren wir nicht zufrieden mit unserem Aufenthalt. Die Lobby & Bar sind modern und stilvoll gestaltet. Die Aufzüge veraltet und die Flure wirken auch eher nach einem Motel. Die Zimmer sind klein (aber für uns nicht schlimm!) Jedoch fehlen auch dort etwas liebevolle Details die man in einem 5 Sterne Hotel erwarten würde. Die Kaffeemaschine ist etwas alt und verkalkt zudem gibt es kein Wasserkocher aber Teezubehör was etwas fragwürdig ist. Das Schlimmste war jedoch der Service an der Lobby und die Putzkräfte!! Während unseres Aufenthalts hatten wir an der Lobby immer mit dem selben Herren zu tun der unfreundlich und unsympathisch auftrat. Einen Tag blieben wir nach der Reinigung unseres Zimmers ohne Toilettenpapier und ohne ein einziges Handtuch! Wir haben das Personal darauf aufmerksam gemacht und erhielten eine etwas genervte Reaktion anstatt einer Entschuldigung! Das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis stimmt leider gar nicht in diesem Hotel und wir haben bessere Erfahrungen mit 5 als auch 4 Sterne Hotels in Prag gemacht.

What an unpleasant experience! I stayed at the Hilton before but these two nights were extraordinary unpleasant and not at all according to Hilton 5* standard. it absolutely did not fit to the high price of the rooms. 1.) The Hilton has at the moment a beer garden. If your room is facing this beer garden, forget any chance to sleep. the beer garden is open weekdays till midnight and the party music will make it impossible to sleep! Well done, Hilton management. 2.) In our booked DELUXE room (at higher costs) not a single TV channel worked. And slippers to go to the pool area were also not there. They told us that we have to ask for slippers. Sadly, they forget to tell us this. All in all, a horrible two night experience: party music till midnight, not a single TV channel working and walking barefoot through the hotel on the way to the spa. Sorry, never again! choose another place with better service (and it will be cheaper in top)!

This was our third visit to this wonderful hotel, which is situated in a great area. We found so many local cafes, bars, restaurants, markets, parks and shops in Zizkov and Vinohrady that, on this occasion, we rarely chose to travel into the city centre. However, if you do wish to visit the centre, or indeed anywhere in Prague, there is an abundance of first-rate travel options at your disposal. The hotel itself is exceptional,  with large rooms, which are  very clean and comfortable. There is also a fantastic breakfast buffet avaliable.  All amenities are provided to make your stay a home from home. Hotel Carlton is a hidden gem, and front office manager Blanka and all the members of staff with whom we were in contact (receptionists/breakfast/housekeeping) could not have been more professional, personable and helpful. We are looking forward to returning to Hotel Carlton next year. Taking everything into account (hotel, location, staff, atmosphere) we simply wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in Prague.  Very highly recommended.

Note: rail into city center from airport about three euro, taxi about 45 euro. Value was great at €55 a night, but price went up to €100 when I enquirer about extending.

Great hotel! We checked in right at 8pm and the receptionist was so nice to stay past closing to get us checked in. We stayed four nights and on the second day we noticed that our sink was leaking water everywhere. We called reception and they immediately came u pro look at the situation and moved us to another room. It was a nicer room which was great but we appreciated how quickly they resolved the problem. The beds were super comfortable and the shower was great. We also liked that there was a fridge and the AC. The location is great because there’s cheaper food places around the hotel but it’s like a 20 minute walk to the main square. Overall we loved this hotel and totally recommend it especially with the price.

Stayed for 5 nights recently. Pros: Alena and Veronika at reception are super kind and always happy to help. These 2 superstars could work at any hotel in the world. You are so lucky to have them. Good strong, consistent wifi Fridge, microwave, and kettle in room. Housekeeping brought me a room fan when requested. Thank you! Nice firm, comfy bed and pillow. Great sleep! Excellent value in an increasingly expensive city Decent breakfast buffet. The ladies (and gentleman) working the buffet are also very friendly & very hardworking. Please thank and appreciate them. They are wonderful! Easy commute to the main tourist areas via tram right outside the door. Awesome park and running trails minutes away (National Memorial). Really good kebab and pizza shops right across the street and large grocery store at the end of the block. Cons: Very tiny room and bathroom and the building is very dated. I don’t recommend a basic single room like I had if you’re a large person like me, as it felt a bit cramped and claustrophobic. The room was actually smaller than my hotels in Tokyo. A bit of noise from other guests when they are in the hallway. I recommend earplugs if you are a sensitive sleeper. Kettle in room was super dirty inside and needs to be thoroughly cleaned. I didn’t realize this until after boiling water & drinking a few cups of coffee. Hope I don’t get sick. So gross! :(

If you plan to walk from the Florenc Bus Station with heavy luggage, prepare yourself as it is quite a climb over the cobbled streets! The rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is simple yet satisfactory. Unfortunately, all the wall sockets in my room wasn’t working, so I had to charge everything in the bathroom. Wi-fi is charged at an extra price, which wasn’t worth it as the reception in my room was zero to none. But all in all, not bad.

Room was clean, not much lit. Missing free outlet, or outlet near bed. Only free outlets were one in the enterance room and one in the bathroom. There was a gap under the front door with light from the yard under the door. Internet wi-fi was not fast (down 12 / up 11 Mbit) but stable. TV was showing only 10 german, 2 czech and 1 russian channel. No instant coffee bags, but there was electric cattle, free tee bags (2 fruit, 2 black) and sugar bags. Water taps in the sink and shower are separated, and it takes some time to set required temperature. Not sure if the ladder radiator in the bathroom was working properly when turned on to maximum. Tiles in the entrence and bathroom were cold. Breakfast was delicios and with wide choice.

Kieran and Shaun the sheep Sh(earer) were genial hosts and competent drivers. The coach was comfortable which was just as well as 5.30 am get ups were commonplace. It is advisable to opt in to optional excursions as it would be nigh impossible to see as much on your own in a day. The Vienna Supreme Concert was excellent. The food was generally poor. The IBIS Prague had Pork medallions for their hot meal 2 days running and no choice. The Vienna hotel had soup without bread and a small amount of ice cream 2 days running for desert no choice. Coming home was a nightmare, we were stuck at Folkestone Interchange for well over 3 hours because one of Leger coaches failed to catch the ferry. This meant we arrived home early morning with the additional expense of a taxi. Everywhere took payment by credit card and/or the Euro. Nearly all comfort and lunch stops in Europe charge to use the toilets. The drivers will change Euro notes for coins. Glad we went but wouldn't recommend. It's all a bit hectic. Early to rise means early to bed. Felt like we needed a holiday on return!
