I had a reservation but was unable to get to Rennes from CDG airport in Paris on March 29, 2023 because of a nationwide strike of trains, the SNCF, on March 28 that continued to the next day without warning. The owner has a cancellation policy requiring two day notice or the money you promised to pay is taken. The strike was officially on March 28 and was supposed to be over on the 29th but in fact it was a "rolling" strike and without warning was continued to the next day. Because I could not get there and did not know it until the day of my reservation, she did not allow me to cancel and took my money for the reservation. I asked to spend the next night but she responded that no rooms were available. Renée was very slow to respond to emails, if she responded at all, and with only a word or two. This was quite annoying. She technically had the right to take my money, but my not getting there was the fault of the train strike. I could not even rent a car until the next day and the train the next day was full; there was no way for us to get to Rennes from Paris. Draw your own conclusion. I would never deal with this person again.
