Hotel 2 Bintang di Rome

We are a family of four, just returned from Camping Fabulous. We chose this campsite for its location and proximity to Rome. We didn't hire a car but organised a taxi from and to the Leonardo da Vinci Fiumicino airport as it cost less than public transport and is less than a 30 minute transfer. We stayed 3-10th April. The campsite was just getting geared up for the start of the season and they were not ready to hit the ground running. The night we arrived there was a large queue of people outside the very small reception cabin, it's not an actual building, and a security guard outside was managing the queue so people didn't crowd into the very small cabin. We couldn't see how many reception staff were on so went straight to the bar for something to eat. It was busy there and staff seemed frazzled and harassed as if not expecting it to be so busy so early in the season. Food is basic but adequate. Stick to reliables like pizzas and pasta. Anything outside of that from a secondi menu did not live up to the description on the menu and pricey for what it was. Restaurant is not very attractive in decor- it's more like a canteen than a restaurant in the lighting and noisy acoustics. It's not a place you'd like to linger over a glass of wine. Eat and go. We returned to reception and got our key to our mobile which was a three bed close to the pool area. We requested a change right away as we were housed next door to a large noisy group of Italian men and reception facilitated our request. The second mobile was in a much quieter area but still near the pool. Good idea by previous reviewer to study the map of the campsite and select your accommodation before you go and ask to be accommodated in your choice. We met one family from Brussels with children who were 20 minutes walk from.the pool area, supermarket etc. The campsite is very big so bear in mind that you could be accommodated a good walk from facilities if you don't request otherwise. We knew the pool wouldn't be open until Friday 7th April and that was fine as we intended to visit Rome 4tg, 5th and 6th and stay around the pool when weather was forecast to be good at the Easter weekend but it did not say on the website that the supermarket would not be open until Friday 7th either. In fact it didnt open until Saturday 8th due to some issues but no one working there seemed to know when exactly it was opening and weren't too bothered either. People were milling sround in the mornings trying to buy the few croissants on sale from the bar and they sold out fast and that was it then, nothing else to buy, no basics available like fresh bread , milk or water. The bar staff were overwhelmed by the queue of people and knowing they were unprepared. We walked to the PIM supermarket, a well stocked supermarket, which was over 1km away and trekked back with water milk, cereal etc on a very dangerous, uneven, bumpy road with no footpath except at times, a bit of a muddy verge as the cars sped past. It'

We went here with 2 kids (4 of us). Whilst I get that it's a little ignorant for us English people to expect English speaking, the lack of English speaking was evident. Throughout the whole place. The vending machine contactless never worked and when I asked for change from the front reception I was only given 5 euro max for some reason. Wouldn't give me any more so after a certain time you had no chance of buying water. We were also not given towels unless we paid 3 euros per towel. Of course, because it's all about how much they can get out of you. The staff were primarily rude apart from the guy who drives the bus. We had no kitchen in our room and it was dirty. We were supposed to have internet but despite seeing the WiFi on the list with 4 bars, it never connected to any of our devices even once. Having 2 kids with no internet was a whole lot of fun. Every morning we had a guy going around with a strimmer at 10 am, too. You needed to wear a hat for the pool but the lifeguard constantly ignored this for certain people. Sat there on his phone 90% of the time. The one restaurant had very few veggie options and you couldn't order Pizza until the evening for some reason. The breakfast option was a croissant or 5 euro pieces of tiny toast. It was too much to ask for the staff to make us something. The restaurant charged us 8 euros every single time we ate, as a service charge. Just for a bit of paper to sit on the table. It certainly wasn't for the service. Regularly, a meal for 4 of us and some water was coming to 70-80 euros plus. It's an absolute rip-off in the restaurant. The water was charged (tap water) at 1 euro, and then after a few days, 2 euro 50 bizarrely. Not sure what happened to make it more expensive. Tap water should be free!!! The one ”shop” had about 10 items in it and was not replenished the whole week we were there. all in all, the place just doesn't offer anything but the expense and they rely on being in the middle of nowhere and having one restaurant and one ”shop”

I was very happy with this hostel it had a great vibe. The rooms where great I had a large bed with plenty of privacy. The party area downstairs was great for a solo traveller. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay this probably isn’t for you! The only negative thing was that the bathroom had mould in it!

Had a memorable solo visit in Roma with one night stay in Hotel Romano. I would like to say it's definitely value for money: 1. Perfect location: right besides the Colosseo, great wonders right outsides the window, felt like travelling back to the accient times. 2. Convenient transportation: only 15 minutes to Termini station by walk, 3 minutes to Colosseo metro station. 3. Many restaurants, bars, groceries in surrounding area for multi choices of eating and relax. 4. Old building with traditional decoration and an elevator, room is quiet and a bit tiny but fully equipped with all necessary accomendation items. 5. The old gentlemen in the reception are nice and friendly, made a tour plan with a map for me.

This is my first time to Italy. Booked through Jet2. Great location. This was ideal for our 4 night stay. If you are into walking you can walk to most of the main tourist destinations in Rome. Also a 5 min walk to subway. Room was a good size. Fresh towels etc. Vending machines in the reception area for snacks and drinks. The hotel has a secure entry system so only guests can access. Would defo stay here again.

This hotel is genuinely the best value for money and the people that work here could not have been sweeter to us. Me and my friend came here for one night and they allowed us to store our luggage for the whole evening after our check out as we had a very late flight. The location is also spectacular, you can see pretty much all of Rome in one day and still get back to the hotel. If you are looking to stay somewhere with friends or family for a reasonable price, look no further. We would just like to say a massive thank you to Evan on the front desk for making our experience so great. We will definitely be back!!!

The hotel is in a great location, right in the centre of the city. Great value. Facilities are all working very well and the rooms are very comfortable. The friendliness of the staff is the best part, they are all very welcoming and accommodating. Especially Lisa, she was fantastic. Will recommend to anyone who is coming to Rome for a short break 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Oda, bodrum katında kömürlük gibi bir oda(316). Ertesi gün değiştirdik. Olanaklar kısıtlı ve her şeyi eski. Diğer odalardan, koridordan ya da dışarıdan çok ses geçiriyor. Gürültülü komşularınız olmasın diye dua edin. Kalorifer 18.00’den sonra yanmaya başlıyor. Ocak ayının sonunda ısınma sorunu yaşamadık diyebilirim.
