Hotel berhampiran Ponte di Nona, Rome

The service was average considering it being a 4 star hotel. The hotel is in need of getting updated.

I had 2 negative experiences in this hotel, one of which was very unpleasant. First, the hotel could no longer find my reservation, but that was resolved very quickly. Then on the evening of the fourth day of my stay, I found an envelope on my bed with a 50 euro fine in it. At the reception, I was explained coldly that it is because it is forbidden to smoke in the room. The cleaning lady would have smelled the cigarette while cleaning the room. The problem is that I'm a non-smoker and I can't stand the smell of cigarettes either. It was particularly unpleasant having to convince the receptionist that I don't smoke. Finally, she withdrew the fine. I came 5 times in this hotel, and to be fair, I must say that the rest is perfect. The staff are professional (except for the fine!), smiling and helpful. The rooms are very well equipped and spacious. The breakfast is very good and it is possible to have dinner at the hotel.

Abbiamo alloggiato in questo albergo per due notti. Appena arrivati ci hanno sistemato in una casetta esterna alla struttura principale con circa 5/6 stanze. Abbiamo lasciato le valige velocemente per andare a cena, e solo al nostro ritorno abbiamo iniziato a notare delle cose che via via sono andate a peggiorare. Abbiamo richiesto un ferro da stiro, e ci è stato detto che non sapevano dove fosse e che avrebbero chiesto l'indomani alla signora delle pulizie. In vari hotel a 4 stelle il ferro da stiro è addirittura presente in camera! Rientrati in stanza, abbiamo iniziato a notare dettagli relativi alla pulizia e all'aspetto della stanza. Nella doccia erano presenti capelli, la tavoletta del gabinetto era totalmente ingiallita (costo su Amazon € 15 spedizione inclusa!), l'unica sedia presente in stanza aveva un cuscino bianco con delle macchie nere e la pellicola protettiva totalmente strappata. A parte delle abat jour presenti ai due lati del letto, non esisteva un punto luce sul soffitto. Il telecomando della TV era rattoppato con dello shock nero, e appena preso in mano lo shock si è tutto srotolato. Ma il bello è arrivato quando, richiedendo un quarto cuscino che ci è stato prontamente portato, ho notato che esternamente aveva un mega alone giallo a chiazze. Inorridita ho avuto la malsana e fortunatamente giusta idea di controllare anche gli altri tre cuscini... Due di questi erano pieni di macchie gialle all'interno, anche sui bordi, che fuoriuscivano dal lenzuolo!! Chiamato il ragazzo alla reception l'ho caldamente invitato di portarmi cuscini immacolati, data soprattutto la presenza di mio figlio di 3 anni, altrimenti davvero avremmo dormito senza! Se non avessimo anticipato il pagamento (struttura consigliata come seconda opzione per un matrimonio) ce ne saremmo andati all'istante. Ci servirà da lezione: chi chiede il pagamento anticipato non è un albergatore serio!!! Dopo vari minuti sono stati portati i cuscini, puliti, ma senza nemmeno una scusa e nemmeno una parola! Ulteriore tasto dolente: la colazione ... Una colazione del genere viene offerta forse in un albergo a due stelle! Arredamento della sala imbarazzante, colazione misera, senza opzioni sempre presenti in un 4 stelle come le uova o della frutta fresca, bevande calde da una macchinetta di pessima qualita', due scelte di succo annacquatissimi... Il top è la vaschetta degli affettati... Di plastica, con delle crepe al livello della maniglietta per sollevarla, storta.... Il mio bimbo che adora il prosciutto cotto ne ha mangiato una fetta, mi ha guardato e mi ha detto che non era buono... E aveva ragione! 4 stelle dove? Anche 3 stelle sarebbero regalate! L'unica cosa positiva che ho visto: la cameriera della sala colazione, da sola, che correva da una parte all'altra e lavorava come una matta e senza che le chiedessimo nulla ci ha portato la sedia in più per il bambino mettendoci in un punto con più spazio, dato appunto le dimensioni ridotte della stanza. Prima e ultima volta!

Unfortunately my friend chose this because it was close to our airport. But I implore you to look elsewhere as you will find much better places to stay. You will find no food in this hotel. Nor did I see a vending machine. Breakfast is it. And a tiny bar can give you a basic drink or tiny water. The room is basic but was clean. We each got one small lumpy pillow so I needed to ask for more. The shower had seen better days with stained and dirty grout and a shower head that constantly fell down. And the cleaning left much to be desired with long hairs found everywhere. There is a restaurant next door but give it a big miss as the staff are rude and the service and food is horrific. As part of our ongoing Europe trip, I stayed with my aunt and my friend for 4 nights; we booked 2 rooms, our bed looked like a double but was 2 single joined so it was great for me and my aunt as we separated the beds. The hotel had good amenities - private bathroom was huge although for some reason the lights would just turn off randomly? I don't know if it was just our room or everyone else's. The swimming pool is only opened in the summer!! so it was closed for us, which was sad. The staff was really nice and they gave us extra blankets, coffee machine and a kettle when we asked for it! Really appreciated their help and trust me there was so many large groups always arriving at this hotel so they were doing amazing. We paid for dinner once and a breakfast. Dinner was hit or miss - I loved my Chicken salad, but the others weren't impressed with the burgers they had but breakfast was definitely better. I think the star was the beans because wow they were good. The only major cons about the stay was that our room was located right next to the elevator (same as Florence) and it was noisy all morning and late at night, plus some construction at like 8am ish so please if you can, ask for a faraway room! Also the distance from the city centre was quite tiring, yes it is only 23 mins metro from the Torre Angela station but an 11 mins walk from the station to the hotel and with our suitcases and the station exit not having any elevators, it was hard work. To get to the hotel side, you need to first go down the stairs, then up the stairs and go down again so if you are walking from the station to the hotel, be prepared!

Hoping this review might help, i will write the pros-cons: + The staff is very friendly and professional + Room was good (Although it needed some repairs) + Breakfast was included ( but: small quantities & not much to choose from) + Located in calm area. - Distance ( Do not go if you dont have a car, because the public transport is horrendous and uncomfortable - does not have AC on summer with temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius-; The taxi to the center costs aprox. 30 euros. - Does not have any items like toothbrush, etc ready. Overall the hotel is good and I would stay again if it was not for the distance

The reception and hospitality staff were absolutely brilliant! So kind and generous, and everyone was very welcoming and the Reception and management team spoke such good English. The rooms were very clean and I had heavy luggage so was kindly given a room on the ground floor which was great, they even let me stay and use the hotel lobby to work from after check out.

Our family of four spent three nights at this hotel last month (Europamundo put us there). We didn’t like it at all. Our room was dirty, with mold all over the shower tiles, stains on the carpet, and dust on the night stands. The fridge was not working. They kept the lights in the hallways low; I guess because they didn’t want us to see the condition of the hotel. I used the stairs one day and they were full of dust motes as if they hadn’t been cleaned in a long time; I had never seen anything like it. Breakfast left a lot to be desired. The area surrounding the hotel was ok during the day, but it was pretty sketchy at night. Also, it was pretty far from everything. We were planning on doing a lot of walking (something that we do in every city we visit), but it was impossible to walk from the hotel to the main tourist sights; for example, the walking distance from the hotel to Vatican City is two hours, each way. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone; the place is a dump. Please, avoid at all costs.

Got this room for 2 and it’s not bad considering the price! A little far from the places we wanted to visit but it was a comfortable stay :) Check in time was a little late so we had to keep our baggage in the storage room however all is well. We got the breakfast included & it wasn’t bad! Had a full breakfast but the coffee wasn’t hot by the time i had my breakfast (was kept in a thermos). Visited end 18th April & Im concerned abt the amount of mosquitoes that were in the room within 2 night me and my friend killed a total of 5 mosquitoes and it really affected my friend because she got bitten on her eyelid which made it swollen and we were worried she wouldn’t be able to take pictures. Toilet wasn’t the most prettiest or pleasant but toiletries were provided as well as hairdryer! There was also a kettle and coffee that we could make.

Quando siamo arrivati abbiamo notato che la hall e l’adiacente sala ristorante erano prive d’impianto di condizionamento. La camera si presenta piccola e priva del frigo bar, le tende invece d’essere bianche sono grigie per la polvere e la fuliggine, il condizionatore rumorosissimo e con la plastica del rivestimento rotta. Infine la doccia non preserva dagli schizzi con il risultato che l’acqua trabocca fuori, manca una mensola dove appoggiare il proprio necessaire. Rapporto qualità prezzo pessimo. Sconsigliato
