Was booked into this hotel by my son who was getting married in rotterdam. Not knowing what hotel was like looked at some tripadvisor reviews. some good some not so good. what a great surprise we got when we got there. a fantastic mixture of oldy worldly and modern great facilities wonderful friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. Comfortable bedrooms gave us a good nights sleep.If I have a critiscism it is the breakfast was a little expensive for what you got but quality was awesome. Great 2 nights stay wouldn't hesitate to go again

Excellent service, fantastic location, comfortable beds and very clean. Enjoyed our stay there, the staff were very helpful and the snack bar was a lifesaver when we were unprepared and hungry for a midnight snack.

Good in location, 5 min. walk to Rotterdam central station. LRT just in front of the station.
Good in services, we arrival at early morning 10:00, no room available, the front desk lady can keep the luggage for us, and offer free breakfast to us.
Clean and tidy room and public area.

Zeer net en ruim opgezet hotel met voldoende parkeergelegenheid. Schone kamers, niet super de luxe; maar van alle gemakken voorzien je kunt een bakje koffie of thee op de kamer klaarmaken en met fijne bedden (1102). Vriendelijk en behulpzaam, Nederlands sprekend, personeel. Je kunt tot 23.45 nog een drankje bestellen in de lounge, mocht je dat willen. Het ontbijtbuffet is behoorlijk uitgebreid met diverse broodjes (hard/zacht/hartig/zoet), English breakfast, verschillende soorten yoghurt, fruit en beleg en american pancakes en een grote diversiteit aan warme en koude dranken. Er loopt voldoende, vriendelijk personeel rond waardoor je je erg welkom voelt. Wat helaas, vooral voor onze kinderen, erg vervelend was, was dat er een mevrouw in het hotel verbleef die nare en beledigende dingen naar ons riep toen wij na het ontbijt terug gingen naar onze hotelkamer. Het kwam op ons over alsof zij behoorlijk onder invloed was van iets; ze liep/ danste intimiderend in de foyer rond in haar badjas en met een handdoek om haar haar gebonden alsof ze de hele nacht al sinds de avond ervoor onderweg was naar de badkamer. Ze lachte onze zoon uit toen hij bijna tussen de liftdeur kwam wat voor hem echt heel vervelend was. Voor een net hotel als dit was dat wel een afknapper na zo'n geweldig ontbijt en verblijf. Als ik de eigenaar was had ik haar eruit gezet. Wat ook jammer was, waren de omgevingsgeluiden. Rondom het hotel is men bezig met werkzaamheden waardoor je (zelfs op de 11e verdieping) vroeg gewekt wordt door vrachtwagens die af en aan rijden.

Great hotel, nice employee, fantastic service, phenomenal experience. I stayed there with a friend for a week, each day we left the hotel at the morning/noon before 11 am. Afterwards we got a cleaned room with new bathtubs and also the kitchen was refilled. The personal was cool. Would like to stay a bit longer

Highlight is definitely the breakfast buffet team - thanks a lot for the great service and smiles despite a high stress level in the morning.

PPengguna TetamuWhile booking the hotel we certainly came across more fancy sites & locations. Despite the traditional perception transmitted by the website the heart was more impressive than the shell. The dynamic staff and trendy setting did charme us differently. Turns out that surprisingly the hotel is a perfect oasis in a quite noisy city. Once inside no noise no stress just a nice trendy cocoon covering all the aspects to regenerate after a busy day in the city. The rooms are nicely designed with a view. Breakfast is still in the “old” setting, but luckily did receive a inspiring touch. Offering a lot of variance it is a good start of the day. The parking concept on the site was vague, but perfectly expected by the caretaking staff on the phone. Although close to the city centre most of the bar & restaurants are at the other end of the town, but when the weather is fine “who cares !?”.

PPengguna TetamuBasic 3 star hotel in a quieter street just off busy bustling Nieuwe Binnenweg with its plethora of bars and restaurants. Super easy to walk (20 mins) from Rotterdam Centraal, or jump on Tram 4 (to Heemraadsplein) with a stop a mere 2 mins around the corner to the hotel plus metro stop Dijkzigt further south. But once I got my bearings, and the weather fine and sunny, I walked everywhere, and was in Museumpark within 10 mins and also historical old Delfshaven in a city of mainly modern architecture. Check out the refurbished docklands area nr Erasmusbrug, quite stunning, and some 20-30 mins on foot. Invest in a RET day-ticket of unlimited travel through Rotterdam – day or night – by bus, tram, and metro. It becomes valid when you first check in, and costs 9 Euros. An absolute bargain compared to expensive old UK. Centraal station is another design gem, and easy to buy tickets from machines with English-language. I got return tickets for some great daytrips to Den Haag, Delft and Utrecht for a change of pace and scene. My single en-suite room 11 was comVERY compact but had a balcony to sit and enjoy the warm June evenings outside. On the first floor with very steep stairs, and quite noisy at times with other guests coming and going and banging doors. When i first checked in, there was a distinct smell of stale smoke (the hotel is non-smoking) but could have been from a previous smoker on the balcony. Hence, popped to a nearby Aldi to buy a room freshener. Great working shower in the wet room, plenty of towels. Clothes storage was very minimal - just a rail with 5-6 hangers. No drawers, just a writing desk. Lots of sockets to charge your appliances. A handy kettle with some tea/coffee pods after a long day of sightseeing. Breakfast was lovely, with tables and chairs by the reception and onto small garden. Usual cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, croissants, toast, and hot breakfast of bacon and scrambled eggs. Nice choice of teas, plus coffee from a self-service machine. I also rented a bike from reception for some three hours for 10 Euros. All in all, ”diolch yn fawr iawn” & ”Bedankt” to the hotel's staff.

The first room didn’t have WiFi, so they sent me to another room ( they didn’t help move my luggage and I spent 25 traipsing around trying to find my rooms) - having moved room - still no WiFi and the key didn’t work. This hotel looks like a fun place to stay - but it is awful. I’ve been here an hour - apparently someone will be down to help. Can’t unpack as I expect that I’ll be moved again (and won’t get help). Have just been called and they wanted me to go to another part of the ship….where there is WiFi…I guess we’re giving up on being allowed to work in my room.

Easy access to transport, shopping and excellent service from the concierge. I felt safe as a woman on my own at all times. Thank you.

PPengguna TetamuI don't know if I've left a negative review before but I was really disappointed by my stay at hotel not hotel Rotterdam. The concept of the hotel is truly a great idea but it appears to really needs updated and better maintained. Positives: it's a fun concept for a hotel, it's close to the train station, the bed was comfy. The food was nice (if/when it arrived). Negatives: the hotel seems to need a paint job and a number of shared space fittings need updated (broken windows and glass on elevator lift). Whilst there are some nice members of staff, nobody seems to know what's going on, particularly for breakfast. The breakfast doesn't get served until 8 and even going down straight away it took 40 mins for a smoothie bowl and a croissant which really isn't ideal when you have already a late start for breakfast. I unfortunately was also given out of date UHT milk for my tea. One day my breakfast order was just forgotten with only 4 tables occupied. The rooms are not terribly well sound proofed so I could hear the reception and people in the corridor singing loudly on the Friday night. Again they could really do with a fresh paint and for marks and fittings to be updated. I get the impression that the hotel is quite understaffed as there was only one staff member available for both check out at 7.45 am which was a challenge when one guest wanted to check out and the other was trying to get an early breakfast (which had not been communicated between the staff from the previous day). All in all, whilst this place has promise and photographs well, I would advise against staying here until they update and upgrade the hotel and improve staffing. Sorry hotel not hotel, I hope you can improve in future.
