The only area of improvement would be the condition of the communal garbage bin in the yard. It was the only drawback, as it appeared to be in a rather untidy state. We stayed at Arctic City Hotel on mid-March for 3 nights. Our room was a style double room on the 3rd floor with street view. The hotel's location, at the very center of Rovaniemi, is undoubtedly great. Everything one might need was in walking distance. All tour operators, shopping centers, restaurants, cafe, supermarkets and bus stations (including the bus station for Santa's Village) were literally on your doorstep. Even the central railway station, the interurban bus station and the Arcticum were just 10min away on foot even with snow. You could even walk to the observation tower of the Ounasvaara Fell, following a great path through the snowy forest (aprox. 30 min). The room was clean and warm, not too large but comfortable for a couple, with a quite comfortable bed and an interesting deco. However, the bathroom was not spacious and the shower tube was tiny. Moreover, the shower glass panels should be replaced or better set-up since the floor got soaking wet when we had a shower. The breakfast was very tasty, with plenty of food and very well served in the hotel's quite cozy restaurant. The staff was super friendly and super helpful, both in the reception and the restaurant! To sum up, the owners of this hotel should consider some refurbishment of the rooms and definitely the bathrooms, in order to meet one's expectations from a 4-star hotel and for a better value-for-money rate. Its great pros are the location, the staff and the breakfast. Despite the small bathroom, we really enjoyed our stay there and we would visit this hotel again.

The room offered sufficient space, the bathroom was clean and looked new. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a large variety of food and drinks. The sauna is also very recommandable. The location is central. There is a shopping mall just across the street, local and long distance bus stops are nearby. Personnel was very friendly and supportive.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the centre, it's a basic hotel which is clean, tidy and comfortable. Breakfast is more continental with 3 hot item available. The only downside to the hotel is their is no safe in the rooms so had to carry all personal items laptop, money, passport etc around with me all the time. The hotel did offer to put item in their own safe but decided against it. It didn't put me off staying here again and would return.

Встречали Новый год семьёй в этом чудесном месте. Очень рады ,что не ошиблись с выбором. Отдых на 5 из 5. Это действительно, очень красивое место на природе в окружении рек ( или озёр)) и мохнатых елей,но до города и деревни Санта Клауса рукой подать на машине. Сами домики милые, тёплые и уютные, атмосфера домашняя. Звукоизоляция отличная. Есть сауна, да и вообще всё есть! Хозяева приятные и отзывчивые люди, спасибо им большое! Всё это создаёт восхитительное настроение и соответственно способствует хорошему отдыху! Минусы, если таковые есть, то их совершенно не хочется замечать. Но позволю себе всё же ложку дёгтя. Т.к это был Новый год мне лично немного не хватило посуды и её уже хорошо бы обновить. Ну в целом всё замечательно и мы получили лучше того, что ожидали. Место куда хочется вернуться! Рекомендую 100% P.S. Спасибо большое хозяину Тахиру за крутой салют в новогоднюю ночь !!!

L’hôtel santa holidays village est super pour les familles. Attention aux réservation que vous faites sur Trip, on a réservé un chalet pour 2 adultes et 2 enfants, arrivés pour le Check-in on nous dit que Trip a réservé uniquement pour deux adultes et donc les enfants doivent être payés en extras. Ce n’est pas sérieux pour TRIP de ne pas communiquer le vrai tarif dès la réservation. Ce site manque de transparence( il note juste une remarque disant que des frais supplémentaires peuvent être facturés par l’hôtel pour les enfants sans vous dire combien et surtout sans vous dire qu’il ont réservé uniquement pour deux personnes ). Donc le pire c’est d’avoir une chambre qui n’est même pas adapté pour une famille. A santa claus on a dû payé 30€/nuit par enfant( heureusement on avait réservé un chalet donc suffisamment grand pour 4). Nous avons eu la même expérience dans un autre hôtel sur la même période (apukka resort ) qui nous a facturé 100€ par nuit et par enfant dans un igloo, heureusement que l’igloo qui nous ont attribué pouvait accueillir 2 enfants autrement on aurait été sans possibilité de nous héberger à 4.

The hotel is not far from the Santa Claus Village and is easily accessible by walking (Just 10 min). First time staying in an Igloo and it is definitely worth the money. Room is small but clean and well-decorated. Breakfast has wide variety of selections. Staff is very friendly and she gave us an Igloo beside the forest which is isolated and quiet. Love waking up every morning lying on the bed enjoying the views of White Christmas Trees surrounding our room. The glass is installed with heater which can melt the frost anytime when needed. The only disappointed is that we didn't get to see Northern Lights for our 2 nights stay. Will definitely stay here again if back in Rovaniemi.

The Glass Igloo is small and not much space to open the luggage, however they have a very nice hot water shower which has around max. 25mins which you will be able to relax from whole day travel ☺️ . The location is not near airport, takes almost 40mins. shuttle bus from Santa Clause village to hotel. Though this location is really good for the chance of seeing Northern Lights ! We did ! Unluckily their ice bar and ice restaurant both under renovation and we don’t have chance to experience. That’s the downside of it.

Everything is in the hotel. The sauna was also clean and it was nice to be able to cook. It was a pity that the reception was 4 minutes away by car. So it would be inconvenient if you don't have a car.
