The hotel is still pretty new so all the facilities are in great condition, modern and beautifully designed to contemporary taste. The staff are excellent, really friendly and helpful. Food is fantastic- we loved the sushi, the serano ham, fresh fruits and juices… Kids club was incredibly welcoming and fun. Our boys loved going and made friends there too. The magic show was lovely and they came home with magic tricks they’d learnt too! The restaurants are super- the main buffet has a high quality and varied offering that changes subtly from lunch to dinner and each day, and we also enjoyed lunch at Kanna (felt a little more special for lunch) and the more relaxed lunches by the pool at the shack (lovely salads and ‘fast food’ and snacks) but also the adult only restaurant was a treat and because kids club runs 8.45-10.45pm we were able to enjoy this whilst the kids went to supper with kids club! There are 3 more restaurants and another bar too. We had a nikte room which is very spacious and beautifully designed. We had to change because of a power cut so saw 3 different rooms but I think the nikte rooms without the sea view were better suited to a family with, in some cases 2 wardrobe/dressing areas, a little tepe to play in and more space. There were spare toothbrushes, etc in the room and dressing gowns and slippers for adults and children, plus a beach bag with beach towels and flip flops. They really had thought of everything- there were even fruit pouches in the fridge to help with little kids early morning hunger pangs! The rooms keys are on bracelets with a colour coded string- I never worked out the actual code but I discovered that our nikte package meant we could have slightly better wines and spirits so worth bearing in mind. It was a great system as we never lost our keys and it was nicer than the usual all inclusive bands. The pool area is very nice with lots of options but the usual issue occurred where people were ‘reserving’ beds before breakfast despite there being a sign to say this wasn’t allowed. It’s a shame the management weren’t more methodical in upholding this as it was the same people most days and simply removing their items and putting them in lost property would prevent it. (As it says in their warning signs by the pool) I gather in other hotels they do this and leave a card saying the time and their intention to remove if this bed is still unoccupied in another x minutes. We spoke to quite a few other guests who found this to be a problem here and in peak season I’d worry they’d run out of loungers as we sometimes struggled to find some in shade, even though there weren’t that many actual people around. The beach outside the hotel is ok- it’s brown sand so not particularly aesthetic but pleasant and easy to access. From the pool terrace it feels idyllic however as you can see the sea, the palm trees and the beach is obscured! So many great staff- Brian, Victoria, Daniel, Moha, raquel, Patri, Laura, Isa…b
