Anika Island Resort

The price-quality ratio is not right. A room without breakfast is not worth its 600 yuan. The prices on the website and in general are inflated. It’s better to book through the hotel’s own website: ************************* the cost will be lower. On the plus side, the grounds are well-maintained, it’s 5 minutes from the port, and there’s a swimming pool. There’s also a beach, but you’ll feel great on any public beach in Bantayan, as the water is clear, the sand is white, only there’s some trash from the sea in places, but that’s an environmental problem and due to the selfish attitude towards nature when people don’t clean up after themselves. The restaurant on the premises is much more expensive. Of the dishes, I liked the pasta and pork, the pizza was okay, but the fish was dry. On the downside, since the rooms are made from containers, there’s no soundproofing, and neighbors who are just talking very loudly will be disruptive. The air conditioner, which hums like a Ducati engine due to incorrect installation, can’t be used at night because the noise makes it impossible to sleep, but without it, it’s stuffy. There are problems with hot water and a lack of internet in the rooms, only in the common areas. This could be seen as a plus or a minus. Also, it’s a bit unclear why security and staff at the pool are asking every day which room you’re in, even though I was the only foreigner with a child in the hotel. The inability to use a UnionPay bank card from time to time due to problems with the terminal in the hotel is also an issue. Withdrawing cash on the island is a problem as the ATMs don’t work. No toothbrush or toothpaste is given, and soap and shampoo are only given at the start.

I am honestly very frustrated with my stay at Anika Resort. I was told they will charge ₱50 just for a towel even if I return it upon check out. In addition, when I asked for an extra room key, they said there is a ₱500 deposit refundable which Already paid 1000 pesos for the BOND, THIS IS UNNECESSARY and INCONVENIENT FOR THE GUEST!!! The entire experience felt disappointing, especially because of how the manager name LOVELY YUVALLOS handled the situation. I WONDER WHY SHE GOT HER POSITION, SHE SHOULD BE FIRED AND DO NOT EVEN GET A ROLE IN HOSPITALITY AT ALL!!! She was completely lacking empathy and did not do anything to address or even acknowledge my concern. It’s very disheartening to see a manager act so indifferent toward guests issues. Filipinos are known for their customer service but this LOVELY YUVALLOS (MANAGER) DON'T EVEN HAVE THIS SKILLS! These policies are unreasonable and not guest focused, and the managements attitude only made things worse. As a Les Clefs d’Or member from New Zealand, I was expecting at least a sense of hospitality, understanding, and care but unfortunately, none of that was shown. I left feeling frustrated and deeply disappointed. I will never recommend Anika Resort to any of my colleagues or guests. They truly need to re-evaluate their policies and, most importantly, their approach to customer service!!!! NOT WORTH A CENTS AT ALL!!!

As stated by all the bad reviews, they are all correct. They care more about the $$$ than actual customer service. This is the worst accommodation I ever had. Not recommended. Please don’t visit this place.

Our Txx family vacation with our US and NZ balikbayans. Had a great 3D/2N stay here. The beach area was simply AMAZING, our photos may not even be able to show just how good the view was. We stayed in rooms for 3. There was enough room for us to move about. We were situated near the pool (yes, they have a pool).

Honestly this is the worst place, dirty rooms, worst smell and I swear it's untidy. Don't ever trust this hotel. Pictures fool you. I was hoping that it could be decent but no it's the worst. Don't ever come to this place and you'll regret it. Disgusting hotel

Bantayan Island holds a special place in my heart. It is one of my favorite islands I the Philippines. I grow up visiting this island for triathlon and open water competitions and family outings. This year I went again and brought my whole entire family. We got the beach front rooms! yes, the views you see is what you will see in person. The white sandy beaches torquise waters and magical sunsets. This year I got engaged in this resort. Though the staff had limited time to prepare with the short notice ( Nobody in my family knew about the proposal) except for my fiancee. He decided to propose in Anika resort because our whole entire family was there. The resort have no idea until the day before the proposal. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that this plan will go even with limited time. The new manager made sure that everything will run smooth! from the F&B department to Kitchen Department, Security department, front desk and recreaction. Everybody played a role to make this important day of our life happened. I want to make sure that the management recognize the amazing staff of Anika especially the manager as without his flexibility under the circumstances. This will not be possible.

Small container rooms with varm and humid indoor climate. Snall beds. Many things are forbidden, even smoking on the beach. The staff are very friendly and oolite but they are not relaxed as if they are working under strict rules and are affraid to do something wrong. In general, no relaxed atmosphere. The rate is too high compared to what you get.

Anika Island Resort was the perfect escape! The moment we arrived, we were greeted by crystal-clear waters and powdery white sand. Our room was clean and comfortable, with a stunning view of the ocean. The pool was a refreshing oasis, and the resort's restaurant served delicious local cuisine. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home. We spent our days swimming, sunbathing, and exploring the island. It was the most relaxing vacation we've had in a long time.
