Hotel berhampiran Municipal Public Library No. 104, "Nicomedes Guzmán", Santiago

The hotel is clean and located in the heart of Santiago. The staff are amazing. Everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful. There are bus and train stops within a couple of blocks of the hotel. Water, beer, wine and snacks are conveniently available for purchase in the lobby any time of the day or night. The hotel is still ramping up its operations to become more “full service” so some services, such as an in-house laundry service, are not yet available. The pool/bar area is beautiful and makes for a great place to hang out. Compared to a four star hotel in Chicago, some may find the interior a bit lacking, but my family and I really liked it.

Great location - only a 2-minute walk to a subway station with a few grocery stores around with a hop-on/hop-off bus stop only 5 minutes away. We were able to get a SIM card from the front desk. I'd recommend requesting a room above the 2nd floor as many rooms on the second floor look over the lobby and it can get a little loud. I'd also note for future travellers that there is no mini-fridge in the rooms. Overall, a great place!

We stayed in this hotel for two nights while visiting Santiago de Chile, and my experience was pretty good. Check-in process was smooth with no complaints other than the lack of staff to escort the luggage. We got a room in the middle of the building and the room was spacious and comfortable with working heater plus air conditioner for warning up from the chilly Santiago weather. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy the breakfast due to the constraints of our tour but overall we had a very nice stay and would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a good accomodation in the centre of Santiago.

Basic hostel in central Santiago - close to major sights. Only stayed one night. We walked up to Cerro San Cristobal then had a nice meal on the busy street on the way back to the hostel. We were advised not to go out walking after dark. Cars were being broken into along the street when we got up early in the morning to go to the airport. Very noisy at hostel at night - Pisco Sours were being served at 9pm & things got quite rowdy until curfew at midnight which meant we didn’t get much sleep. Decent breakfast which is impressive considering the price of a room. Room had enough room for opening luggage & also had its own bathroom.

O café da manhã é servido até às 10h e é bem farto, conta com variedades de frutas, cereais, pães, frios, ovos e linguiça. Os funcionários são bem receptivos e atenciosos. Eles disponibilizam uma marmitinha de café da manhã (sache de café, chá,fruta, sanduíche, iogurte) para que você possa levar no dia dos passeios, basta solicitar até as 21h na recepção. A região realmente não é boa mas o hotel conta com seguranças a disposição caso precise esperar algum uber ou taxi do lado de fora. Foi bem tranquilo pedir carros de aplicativo tanto durante o dia quanto durante a noite. Próximo ao hotel há uma estação da Turbus (estação alameda) e tem um metrô do outro lado da rua

Tivemos uma excelente experiência no hotel Reyall. O hotel é bem localizado, próximo a mercadinho, farmácia e restaurante. O bairro é tranquilo e bem silencioso. Tem um bom café da manhã e oferece cafe da manhã para viagem nos dias que os passeios saem muito cedo. O staff é muito atencioso, prestativo e educado, principalmente os rapazes da recepção. O quarto e banheiro são pequenos, porém, atende bem. Chuveiro bom, com boa pressão e bem quentinho. Serviço de limpeza diária e muito boa. Gostamos muito, voltaremos em uma próxima viagem ao Chile e recomendamos aos viajantes.

The warmest of welcome from a great team at Ugo Hotel. The hotel is well placed in a nice area. It was modern, very light, airy and clean. Our room (334) was on the third floor facing towards what looked like residential apartments. Our only wish was that our view hadn’t been slightly obscured by a wall to another part of the hotel. The reception / lobby / bar was a good place to sit. The main light hanging above made a statement. The room itself whilst not the biggest had everything we needed for a comfortable stay (3 night) during our tour. There were two big, very comfortable beds. This combined with the pillows supplied led to 3 good nights sleep. The second bed was great for laying clothes out and packing ‘ unpacking. The WC / Shower were in the ensuite with the washbasin just outside in an area divided from the bed space by a divider and hanging space. The shower was very good although some might find the floor slippy. There wasn’t a plug in the sink (by design). This was the moment we remembered the travel plug had been left at home. This was an inconvenience when shaving and meant that more water was used than might have been had there been one. We pointed this out as a water saving idea at reception who welcomed the positive feedback. There was good air-conditioning but like most you need to leave one of the key cards in if you want it to continue working when you go out. That said from an energy saving point of view it didn’t take long to cool the room down once we returned. We did turn the AC down at night as like most installations the noise can be a bit of a pain when trying to sleep. There was a good choice of food for breakfast and a nice looking bar with a fantastic team. Not everyone spoke English but we didn’t speak any Spanish but we got by just fine. We had some great Chilean wine and loved the Pisco Sour. Thanks to Laos Silizar for giving me his recipe. There is an enclosed garden area at the back close to the bar with a variety of seating among greenery and to one end a pool. The lifts were quick and we never had to wait more than a few seconds for one. There were two ice cream shops within seconds of the main entrance and a number of nice restaurants. The tallest building in Latin America Sky Costanera was only about a 10 minute walk away. By virtue of its height it has the highest viewing platform in Santiago, from where the 360 degree panoramic view from the 61st and 62nd floors including The Andes is exceptional. Beneath this is a very big shopping centre containing many restaurants of all sorts. We went our for a walk each evening in the direction of the adjoining residential. There were some nice apartment blocks / homes. The area was well lit and felt safe. To summarise we enjoyed staying at Ugo Hotel very much. All of the staff were fantastic. The hotel is in a great area and overall a great value for the price. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Two things that I didn’t like were that the bathroom smelled horrible, like something had died and I’m not sure where the smell came from. Also the restaurant had the annoying habit of adding ingredients not listed on the menu to dishes on multiple occasions. Like adding ham to fettuccine with Alfredo sauce and mushrooms.

This is based on two stays / two rooms a week apart. This hotel is substantially better than the one at the airport. Bed was comfortable and a/c is strong. Wifi good throughout the hotel. Water pressure excellent, although the water smells so chlorinated as to be pool water. The room was clean, but they need to change their mopping chemicals. There is a slippery residue throughout the room which is really noticeable if your feet are wet. Breakfast was a travesty. Buffet with no alternative. Scrambled eggs, toast, very few pastries, fruit, and cereal. That’s it. Coffee machine wasn’t working (gasp). It was free, though, maybe. The staff wasn’t actually sure. Transfer from the airport is on request and free. Send flight details ahead of time and your driver will arrange pickup via WhatsApp. Transfer back is only on the hour, but you can pay $20 for your own five minute taxi if you want. Reception staff speaks English. But no one else did (including restaurant / bar staff). The hotel doesn’t accept any cash payments. The price is reasonable and offsets the above problems. I would stay here again for a layover. The hotel is not suitable for a city visit.

Needed an overnight before our cruise. Since they had an airport shuttle and decent prices we booked a room. First the shuttle service has an interesting pickup point at one of the parking areas. We had to evade the taxi people and go up two escalators to a walkway. Not bad if you follow the instructions they emailed. The waiting area is a bit wide and it would be easy to miss the pickup but I called and was picked up in about 20 minutes after the 12 reservation we made. We will not go into the ride over the the hotel, it was, well exciting might be an ok word. As for the hotel, desk staff was professional, helpful and got us into a room quickly. The hotel was being used for other cruise passengers and workers but they did take care of us quickly. The restaurant was good but not great. I think there were too many people early and they were not ready for the numbers so several tables seated after us were leaving before we even got bread. The hotel was clean and rooms were very nice so I would use it again but reconsider places to dine.
