Hotel berhampiran Vourvoulos Beach di Santorini

Vourvoulos, Santorini, Greece Mid-May 2023 for 3 nights. Cash stay which included breakfast. Property: Lovely property I would definitely stay here again. I loved the property being in the countryside away from the crowds in Fira. I kept waiting for a goat to wander up to my patio. Quick 5 min drive to Fira. When I arrived they gave me a tour of the property with a complimentary drink. I also liked that it’s not a huge property with hundreds of rooms. It’s the perfect balance between not too big or too small. Infinity edge pool - the main outdoor pool that is not heated, which is fine June - August. Loved the sunken seating area next to the pool. Lots of loungers, two seating areas with fire pits and a full bar. Indoor spa has an indoor heated pool, sauna, and several treatment rooms. Free shuttle to/from Fira and Yalos beach. 10am, 12pm, 5pm, 7pm leaving hotel. Pickup in Fira, 12:30pm, 5:30pm, and 7:30pm. Reception/Concierge: I was able to email with the concierge and reception leading up to my trip. They were quick to answer my multitude of questions. They booked my transfer from the airport to the hotel for me too. During my stay I was able to reach them through WhatsApp for dinner reservations and if I got lost etc. As a solo traveler in a new place it was nice to have someone to contact if something went wrong. Staff here are excellent! Room: Upgraded to a room with jacuzzi on the patio High ceilings and floor to ceiling windows out to the private terrace with private spa with views of the distant ocean and the countryside. I love that the bedroom has a ceiling fan! Electric sliding curtains. Breakfast: First morning I sat out on the restaurant deck surrounding the pool… wow that sun is bright! Beautiful looking at the ocean and fields… wish they would turn down the volume on the music.. perhaps play Greek music? Maybe it’s just me but I’m in Greece I don’t want to hear US music. All the waiters are wearing pants/sports jackets, holy cow cannot imagine how hot that will be in another month. To be honest I’m kind of feeling ignored. I finally had to flag someone down to take my order. Guess everyone else just orders the buffet. I ordered from the menu: french toast and one egg scrambled well. French toast was delicious (very small portion). The first egg brought wasn’t a plain egg it had some sort of meat cheese in it. Sigh should have just done the buffet. I’ve long since finished the French toast and waiting for the egg still… waiting and waiting… 2nd day I had the buffet and sat inside the restaurant. Buffet was decent and much quicker but I prefer ordering from the menu. 3rd day I can’t stand it when you’re forced to stand there waiting for someone to acknowledge you. 2 Waiters pass by I’m still standing here waiting for someone to seat me. Then when they finally stop, I asked to sit on the patio but in the shade. The waiter says no, the bus boy points to the corner, I can clearly see several tables in the shade. I can’t

Hotel Porto Castello per come lo abbiamo vissuto io e la mia compagna possiamo garantire che è stata un'esperienza unica! Partendo dal personale, tutti i dipendenti si sono resi molto cordiali e disponibili, ed inoltre parlano anche un discreto italiano. La struttura è molto accogliente e la camera superior dove alloggiavamo noi era molto spaziosa sia dentro che fuori al terrazzino. Pulizia e biancheria ottimali. Il bagno è nelle giuste dimensioni. Servizio transfer per aereoporto a pagamento, ma da e per Fira la navetta era gratuita e partiva dalle 8 circa di mattina fino a mezzanotte con intervalli di 2 ore. Noi abbiamo prenotato il solo pernottamento, quindi non posso dare giudizi sul da mangiare. Ricapitolando quindi, per chiunque leggesse la mia recensione, posso assicurare che chi sceglie Porto Castello, non se ne pentirá, visto anche la posizione strategica al centro di Santorini e quindi ogni destinazione è facilmente raggiungibile, ovviamente affittando un mezzo di trasporto prenotabile anche in struttura. Se mai dovessi tornare a Santorini so dove andare! FANTASTICI!!!

Warning ⚠️ avoid it and spend your time and money anywhere else but this Terrible manager attitude and behaviour, very impolite and rude, doesn't know English and constantly shouting on you before even listening or try to communicate via text at least. The room wasn't as described, the breakfast was terrible with his smoke smell on it and the coffee was instant coffee and cold with his smoke smell. I was alone but room had breakfast for 2, so I paid for 2 breakfasts, so I messaged him before arriving and asked a breakfast on arrival and one on checkout, he accepted by email, when by checkout I went for breakfast, he started to shout on me and insulting me front of other guests and kicked me out of the eating area, then he started to talk about me in a bad way with other guests and make fun of me. I came out of the hotel shaking and shocked. I could not believe such an experience in Santorini and in Greece. This hotel with his mental manager should be avoided by all travellers.

Staff at ambience suites were responsive and pleasant. Breakfast was provided and it was a decent spread. However, location was ~20mins walk from Fira main bus station (it says 10mins on gmaps but its uphill + we were carrying our luggages) so it was slightly inconvenient. Slightly noisy at night as well and the room does not use blackout curtains so the sun shines into the room at 6+ in the morning.

Très bon hôtel. Personnel aux petits soins et vraiment agréable. La chambre était très propre. La salle de bain est un peu sombre et dans la douche, très peu de pression et parfois l'eau n'est pas très chaude (ce n'est pas forcément gênant l'été mais à cette période, nous avons eu froid les 2 premiers jours). Nous avions une chambre avec jacuzzi et vue sur la caldera: on voit que le jacuzzi a déjà bien vécu mais il était propre. Nous avons demandé à augmenter la température car il y avait beaucoup de vent froid. Depuis la chambre, nous pouvons prendre directement le chemin piéton qui longe la caldera pour aller jusqu'à Fira (45 min-1h environ) ou si vous voulez faire une randonnée bien plus longue, on peut aller à pied jusqu'à Oia (2h30). Petit déjeuner varié et complet. La salle du petit déjeuner offre une belle vue panoramique sur la caldera également. Possibilité de laisser les valises à l'accueil si besoin. Le dernier jour, nous avions déjà rendu la chambre mais nous avons pu profiter de la terrasse collective (avec piscine mais elle était trop fraîche pour se baigner...) en attendant notre heure de départ pour l'aéroport tard dans la soirée. En résumé, très bon hôtel. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour. Comme beaucoup d'hôtels et restaurants sur l'île, ça reste cher pour ce que c'est, on paie surtout la vue mais elle est tellement magnifique qu'on oublie un peu ce point là (pour ma part).

I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Exclusive Plan Suites. The staff were amazing and truly went out of their way to help us whenever we needed it, from check in, to advice on getting around, and everything in between. The caldera view from our room was breathtaking. The hot-tub was always a welcome sight after a long day of hill climbing and walking (take the hike to Oia if you get the chance!), and it was always warm. Breakfast was served every morning, and there was always more than enough to eat. Location-wise, this spot is pretty convenient. We were only about a 10-12 minute walk to the shops in Fira (with great views along the way), so we never felt like we were far from whatever we wanted to do, but Firostefani is much quieter than Fira so it was nice to get back to the room after a day out and have a relaxing evening looking out over the water and checking out the cruise ships. I'm not sure what is going on with the beds, but we woke up rested every day! Probably the best sleeps we've ever had on vacation.

Nous avons passé 4 nuits dans cet hôtel et globalement, nous avons été satisfaits. Son gros point fort est la piscine qui est vraiment superbe, avec de grands matelas confortables au dessus de l'eau. Vue mer également et étant peu fréquentée vu que l'hôtel est petit, nous l'avons eue plusieurs fois pour nous seuls. La dame et le monsieur qui sont là en permanence sont très sympas mais ne parlent que peu l'anglais. La chambre est belle, spacieuse, le lit confortable. La salle de bains est petite mais la douche très agréable. Le système de fenêtre pas top car si on l'ouvre, on nous voit dans la douche. Il y a aussi un frigo, une tv. Le ménage est fait tous les jours mais il manque parfois de serviettes, de papier toilette et de gel douche qui n'est pas remis après les 2 mini pots du début. Il y quelques restaurants à proximité mais c'est mieux d'avoir un véhicule pour rejoindre Fira à 10 minutes et Oia à 15-20 minutes. Le gros point faible est le petit déjeuner. Il y a une machine à café mais sans capsule. Elle sert donc juste à chauffer l'eau pour diluer avec du nescafé, vraiment pas terrible. Sur le plateau, il y a 1 verre de jus, un pain style couque qui est assez bon mais seulement un petit pot de confiture et un mini tube de miel. Il y a aussi 2 petites tranches de fromage et 1 petite tranche de jambon, un œuf dur et 3 tranches de pain à toaster mais qui ne sont pas toastés donc vraiment pas bons. Niveau quantité c'est bien mais niveau qualité, vraiment à revoir... Quelques petites choses à améliorer donc pour en faire un super endroit!

It's not a bad hotel and is in a easy place to get too. The only problem we have had was no one is at reception and instructions about checking in are very unclear and confusing. In terms of cleanliness it's ok .
