"Only stayed for a night as I booked flights out on the wrong day! Lovely find to spend the extra day by the pool. Bed was comfy and room was modern with TV and kettle. Places to eat nearby and right by the main road / river. Nice place to eat opposite."

"We booked this resort expecting strong inclines and steep steps in exchange for a spacious, beautiful villa in the jungle and it was completely worth the effort for the stunning views. The staff were welcoming, kind and informative.. the natural setting was beautiful, complete with wildlife and soothing nature sounds. (although not complete quiet you do hear the long tail boats but we didn't mind) We loved the huge, clean bathroom with botanical products and the comfortable bedding with the mosquito net, looked so cozy. So just be prepared for a significant climb but this is a great stay for 1-2 nights offering a serene and beautiful retreat."

RRodrigoBHere's a short review in English based on your notes: --- This hotel is beautiful and tranquil, set in a tropical environment with many open-air areas. You need to go outside to reach the reception, restaurant, or bathroom from your room. They have done a fantastic job of combining luxury with a natural, jungle-like setting—something I've never seen before. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Breakfast is really good. If you're looking for a more exotic nature experience, this place is ideal. However, if you prefer a more standard/business stay, it might not be the best option.

VVasGanWe stayed at Mercure Ao Nang in February and had a fairly pleasant experience overall, though there are a few things worth noting. Check-in took longer than expected as the staff initially couldn’t locate our booking, so after a tiring journey that was a little frustrating. To their credit, the staff remained polite and eventually sorted it out. The hotel itself is quite nice and the surroundings are beautiful, but there is only one main pool and it tends to get crowded quite quickly, especially during peak hours. If you’re hoping for a quiet pool experience, it may not always be possible. Breakfast was decent with a reasonable spread and enough options for vegetarians, which we appreciated. Nothing overly elaborate, but sufficient to start the day comfortably. One important point — I would not really recommend this hotel for guests with mobility issues. Although the hotel does provide buggy service, getting around can still be challenging as there are many stairs and quite a few steep inclines throughout the property. Those travelling with elderly family members or anyone who struggles with walking may find it inconvenient. Overall, a decent stay with good service and facilities, but the layout of the property may not suit everyone.

Sarapan pagi mempunyai hidangan Eropah dan Asia dan setiap hari mereka mempunyai pilihan yang berbeza. Yang menghairankan, terdapat kedai Starbucks di dalamnya juga! Kami makan malam 4 kali di restoran pantai Marcos dan makanannya sangat lazat. Resort ini membantu kami juga menempah bot ekor panjang untuk melawat pulau-pulau di seberang. Sesungguhnya, sukar untuk mencari perkara negatif dalam penginapan kami. Mungkin bagi sesetengah orang mereka tidak akan berasa selesa dengan banyak tangga tetapi anda cepat terbiasa dengannya. Berhampiran resort tidak ada kedai dan anda perlu meminta penerimaan tetamu untuk menempah kereta untuk membawa anda ke AoNang, bandar terdekat yang mempunyai semua barangan yang diperlukan, pasar, restoran, farmasi dll. Jaraknya kira-kira 20 minit. Terdapat pilihan untuk menyewa motosikal juga.

OOrtega32.I love this hotel, the rooms are large and spacious. Breakfast is fine for a Turk:) They give you a Thai massage when you check in. There is a Chinese restaurant in the hotel, the sushi is excellent. There are also discount deals with Reeve Beach Club in Ao nang beach. Definitely try Reeve. The cleanliness is fine. In short, it is a nice hotel where you can stay in Krabi in terms of both location and facilities. Transportation to Railay beach is very easy, you can reach the street where phi phi tours and tour companies where you can join many tours are located in 5 minutes on foot. We loved it, thanks for everything:)

PPengguna TetamuWe had an overall enjoyable stay at Sofitel in Krabi, with a few areas that could be improved—especially given the expectations of a five-star property. The location is a clear highlight. The beach is calm and relatively private, without the usual crowd of boats, which made for a very relaxing environment. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety and consistently good quality. The overall decor of the lobby and restaurants was also beautifully done, creating a pleasant and refined atmosphere for both breakfast and dinner. However, service was somewhat inconsistent. Room service could be slow at times, and on a few occasions, items like trash left outside the room were not cleared promptly. There were also communication lapses—for example, we had requested assistance to coordinate with an elephant sanctuary, but the message was not properly followed through between staff members. There were also minor maintenance issues, such as a non-functioning balcony light, which we chose not to escalate but would have expected to be addressed proactively at this level. For a family room, we expected more thoughtful child-friendly design. Simple things like a stool for children to reach the sink were missing, which made basic routines unnecessarily difficult and less safe. The pool facilities were decent but not outstanding, and cleanliness could be improved. In particular, the kiddie pool had visible debris and bugs, which made it less comfortable for young children. We also found the pool safety setup confusing and somewhat concerning. There were clear warnings stating that there are no lifeguards and that parents are responsible for supervision. However, there was consistently a staff member seated by the pool under a shaded area, appearing like a lifeguard but not actively monitoring the pool. This created a misleading impression and could give families a false sense of security. During our stay, we also witnessed a situation where a child became stuck under part of the pool obstacle structure, and assistance had to be actively requested from nearby staff. While the situation was resolved, it reinforced our concern that supervision and safety measures could be more proactive. Given the number of safety warnings posted around the pool, we were surprised that no trained lifeguard was present, especially as the current setup may give families a false sense of supervision. One of the main drawbacks was the pricing structure. Many services and items felt excessively priced, including: • Food at the on-site restaurants (significantly higher than comparable options outside the resort) • Transport and excursion arrangements (e.g., speedboat pricing well above market rates) • Activity rentals, such as the Sub Blue underwater scooter (350 THB++ for 30 minutes), which felt disproportionately expensive • Additional charges for small requests, including delivery fees for food within the property These added costs created a sense of being “nickel-and-dimed,” which detracted from the overall experience. Overall, while we appreciated the beautiful location, excellent breakfast, and well-designed spaces, we felt that service consistency, family-friendliness, safety clarity, and value for money could be improved to better align with five-star expectations.

The rooftop pool is what makes the place stand out from the rest. The views of the cliffs and oceans from the pool was amazing! Only negative is that there was an unpleasant odour in the bathroom. The rooms are quite basic and there were a few ants in the room. Would recommend staying here!!
