Location is bad, All the rooms smell horrible, like all of them, I got into my non smoking apartment, smelt disgusting, I asked them to change rooms, they showed me another room, smelled the same, gross, the smell sticks to the clothes, laundry machines are useless and dirty. Staff is nice. They asked me to write a review as I was checking out, the guy wanted me to write it there on the spot with him. I told him no. This leads me to believe there are several false reviews on google. Gym is good, pool is good.

AAndrew JohnThe location was ideal close to the metro station and restaurants. Less than 5 min walk to the National Museum and, if determined, it is possible to walk to the Museum of Islamic Art and Souq Waqif. Got a free room upgrade and had a fantastic view of the museum and some of the harbour. The room itself was comfortable with good facilities, stable WiFi, and a cosy bed. The staff were very friendly and very helpful with my inquiries and check in/out was a breeze. It is about 15 mins from Hamad International Airport airport by taxi. Would recommend and would stay again next time I'm in Doha.

PPengguna TetamuI was doing a one-night stopover in Doha to break up the abominably long flight from Toronto to Bangkok, and selected this place for my crash pad. It fit the bill perfectly. Very warm welcome at the front desk when I had been on the go for 24 hours and was pretty brain dead, very close proximity to the souq market. Whenever I do an overnight in Doha I think that I should stay longer sometime. I'll probably stay here when I do.

Хочется отметить очень удобное расположение (все основные достопримечательности в пешей доступности), вежливый и отзывчивый персонал, хорошие чистые номера, не к чему было придраться. Так же на верхнем этаже есть бассейн, который работает до 21:00. У нас был ранний выезд, и персонал подготовил завтрак с собой. Все было вкусно, даже не все съели. Если еще раз поедем в Доху, то остановимся именно в этом отеле. Всем советую!

SSofia TrufanovaI stayed at Sapphire Plaza Hotel for two nights and overall it was a pleasant experience. The location is quite convenient — there are cafés, small shops, and a few restaurants within walking distance, which made it easy to grab food without taking a taxi every time.
The room was clean and comfortable, and the bed was surprisingly good. Air conditioning worked perfectly, which is essential. The bathroom was a bit dated, but everything functioned well and hot water was consistent. Housekeeping did a decent job, although I would have appreciated slightly more attention to detail.
Breakfast had enough variety — not a huge selection, but the basics were fresh and tasty. The staff were polite and responsive, especially at the reception. Check-in and check-out were quick and smooth.
There’s no luxury feel here, but for the price and location, Sapphire Plaza Hotel is a solid and reliable option. I’d stay again if I needed something affordable and central.

PPengguna TetamuBad points were that there was a nasty drain smell in the bathroom, also coffee/tea not refreshed. In fact, housekeeping took some coffee sachets away! Toiletries not refreshed either after initial allocation. It was handy that you could get a beer in the bar, but that's if you could tolerate the drunk locals. I popped in to get a beer for 3 nights and it was the same every night. The bar staff were lovely but getting abused by the drunks. On my last time in the bar, a Sudenese man made me very uncomfortable (I'm not a shrinking violet). The reception staff varied, one of them downright lied to me saying the Metro would not be running till 6am (it opens at 5 am). He said I would have to get a taxi for early flight for 50 riyal. Con artist. I also asked him for an alarm call which never happened. I got the Metro to airport just fine. The location isn't bad as you're next to a main Metro station, but I would recommend staying in the Souk Waqif and getting a hotel near the Metro stations there. I say stations because they have different access points which come out at different spots so use Google Street view to check. Didn't use pool or have breakfast so can't comment. Overall, I would stay somewhere else!

AAli Ihsan DXBThis hotel is mediocre at best. Good things are that the rooms are large, breakfast is OK, location is very good. Bad things are that the hotel is old and not maintained in best condition. The shower pressure is fluctuating. It is not top clean, merely acceptable level. The furniture are old, you can see finger marks or scratches on them. Toilet seat has yellowed out with stains of old. You can notice the splotches of silicone in bathroom tiles, clear markers of cheap labor. Towels are coarse. Can say more but you get the picture. If you are a discerning traveler, you might be bothered with such details, though this feeling may be offset with the relatively low price of the hotel. Lastly, the hotel actually warns you about this and it bears notice that there are bars in the hotel and weekends being a lot of bachelor party-goers to the hotel at night.

TTars WongThe location of the hotel is convenient if you are willing to experience the local culture. Just round the corner there are local shops and restaurants to explore
The hotel is a bit old in terms of the infrastructure and the carpet should be changed. However the staff, Inc the security team who doubles up as the bell hop was great.
Youcef who was the on duty front desk was friendly and helpful.
In conclusion, value for money if you are ok with the room being basic and need fresh carpet.

AArahthulWith utmost honesty: second time flying to Doha, Qatar; booked the hotel because I got some bonuses from Trip App and a deal from booking the hotel. Also it was with 1 star better than the first one.
The hotel, from my experience with being booked at it and judging just from my hotel room, it was from a hotel with maximum 2.5 stars, at best; comparatively with the first one, it wasn't by any chance a room from a hotel with 4 stars.
- the shower curtain bar was rusted all over it;
- the toilet seat had some sort of yellow stains on it and looked old;
- dust everywhere and even though it was a sandstorm when I arrived, and with all the windows closed, there was still dust on the shelves.
- from the pictures the room seemed a bit larger, but it felt a bit more cramped than the other hotel room when I stayed the first time, maybe from the way it was arranged in the interior.
On the last night or maybe day, the air con broke and it was very hot, they could not repair until the next day, but the good part was that they gave us another room for the night.
- the service was good, and the personnel were polite;
- the hallways were all clean and the lobby was very nice.
Over all, like I've said, I can't speak for the rest of the hotel, just from my room, but it never felt like a 4 stars hotel.
I don't think I will book again here, maybe if it is absolute necessary.
