I come to Tokyo several times a year, staying a fortnight or more each time. This time I spent seven nights at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu. The room faced Hie Shrine. Through the floor-to-ceiling windows I could see the shrine's copper roof and half of Tokyo's skyline. The décor was modern without excess; the layout flowed easily, Bose speakers hidden in the walls, another set in the bathroom ceiling, connected by a 3.5mm jack. The curtains were motorized, though you hardly needed to close them. The turndown service. I would leave in the evening and return late to find the room changed: only the hallway light and bedside lamp left on, a bottle of water and a glass on the nightstand, two chocolates beside them. The evening tea and teacup, previously stored in the cabinet, had been moved next to the coffee machine. These changes were so slight you had to think back carefully to confirm they had happened at all. The temperature and humidity had been adjusted. As if the room itself remembered your habits. Room service fell short of the ryokan in Hakone or Lake Toya, but well above the ordinary hotel. Each day I made two or three cups of complimentary coffee, played music, read, wrote. In seven days I finished three books. The research ahead began to take shape. There were drawbacks. No washing machine, but a decent laundromat ten minutes' walk away—a chance to wander the streets of Akasaka. The room provided HDMI and ethernet ports but no cables; for those who came to rest, perhaps a mercy. The minibar fridge was mostly occupied by drinks for purchase, same as the Imperial, though there was still room for my sparkling water. The day I left it was half past five and fully dark. I could barely make out the faces of the bellhop and the taxi driver. Together they loaded my luggage into the boot. I wished the bellhop a happy new year in Japanese and told her I liked her hat. She smiled and returned the greeting. As the taxi pulled out of the underground drive, I thought of the inns Kawabata once wrote about: what had to be sought in the mountains of snow country can now be reached by elevator from the B2 exit of a metro station. I have watched the Shinagawa Prince Hotel loosen quietly over time, slip a little. That kind of decline is rarely one great error. It begins the day someone forgets to leave a glass of water, neglects to move a packet of tea, omits a newspaper. As for The Capitol Hotel Tokyu: in Japanese, what I experienced over these seven days is called ちょうどいい.

I loved it here! It’s my favourite hotel in Tokyo thus far! The staff are amazing from the get go. We’ve booked the meet and greet service from the station and I’m so glad we have booked this service! Its made the navigation in such a gigantic station much easier! Every staff we have met has been extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. I have a little one who loves trains and staffs would prepare the little amenities for him. Our room is extremely comfortable and quiet amid being inside the station! One of my favourite moment is breakfast! It’s full of different choices, and they are all really delicious!

是四季的感覺，但總欠了點什麼 本來還想去住大手町四季，但突然漲價了，想着丸之內也可以來體驗一下 位置：極度方便，左轉幾百米甚至還沒有紅綠燈就是東京站，JR很方便，去機場也有nex，和大巴；但地鐵相對有點距離，京橋很近，丸之內線要從地下穿越東京站，略微麻煩；好在銀座很近，酒店右轉走過去就是了 特色：鐵路景觀，二十幾條鐵軌鋪在腳下，我要了6F的高樓層客房，因為新幹線在這裏變軌的緣故，還是能聽到一點噪音，但酒店這邊不能開窗，可以接受白噪的完全可以助眠，晚上十二點之後新幹線就會停運 服務：四季標準，app回覆速度較慢，整理客房的阿姨前後有差別，有一個阿姨整理很隨意，後面幾天變好了 硬件：605客房的淋浴水温有問題，很燙，保修後變冷了，但仍舊無法調節水温高低，也不再繼續和前台溝通了，較冷還能接受，衹能説硬件還是有短板；關門聲音很大，透過房間可以聽到，隔壁有人經常進出就會有點吵，並且有時發現是服務人員整理客房開關門發出的聲音 除了位置好，沒有太多優點，景觀也一般，且目前北面、東面都在施工，北面隔了馬路，東邊房間緊臨工地

This is the hotel I always stay at whenever I visit Tokyo, and it never disappoints. The location is fantastic. Since the Prince Hotel is right across the street, there are plenty of excellent restaurants and dining options nearby, which is a huge plus. Transportation is also incredibly convenient. Moving to major districts like Shinjuku, Ginza, and Shibuya by train/subway is fast and easy. If you are looking for a central base in Tokyo with great food and accessibility, I highly recommend staying here.

1st time staying at this hotel. We loved it with the facilities and direct connection with 3 subway lines +1 JR line at basement level. The hotel staffs are so friendly and so helpful. Definitely will come back again.

Amazing hotel. Location is convenient as it is only a 5 minute walk to the Shiomi station. A very nice supermarket is also 5 minutes walk away. Very clean. The onsen is one of the best I have been to. Staff members are friendly and helpful too. Thank you. My stay was amazing. I’m almost tempted to gatekeep so that it won’t be too hard to get a room at a competitive price next time. Haha.

We really love the hotel service provided, public transport convenient as it’s situated below the hotel. The only setback is location at CBD area, overall experience good

Keio Hotel Tokyo terletak di Shinjuku, berhampiran daerah perniagaan Shinjuku yang sibuk dan Kabukicho. Ia menawarkan lokasi yang tenang di tengah-tengah kesibukan, dan terdapat 7-Eleven di tingkat bawah, sesuai untuk mereka yang mencari snek harian. Hotel ini bersaiz munasabah, tidak terlalu besar, dan biliknya sedikit berbeza daripada yang anda jangkakan. Dua beg pakaian boleh muat, jadi dua orang boleh bergerak tanpa menghalang jalan. Terdapat juga kolam di tingkat atas untuk bergambar, sesuai untuk mengambil gambar. Selfie tidak dibenarkan di dalam kolam, jadi saya tidak pasti apa yang perlu dilakukan.

Great hotel with a welcoming atmosphere and a comfortable stay from start to finish. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and had everything needed for a pleasant visit. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The location was convenient and made it easy to enjoy the surrounding area. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and I would happily stay here again.

I choose Hyatt Regency Tokyo every time I visit Tokyo. Traveling is very convenient as you can access the metro line from both pink (Tochomae) and red. The underground pathway make it vey convinience when raining. Airport limo bus also stops at the hotel. 7-11 and Family Mart are located at the basement with many good restaurants around including Starbuck. The room is very clean and spacious, and A/C is adjustable. The bed is so comfy but the pillows are too soft for my liking. Room service food is in excellent quality and super delicious, especially the salmon steak.
