Fairly inexpensive, convenient location, friendly staff. No problems on our first trip to Sweden together. Breakfast did seem extremely expensive being ÂŁ20+ per person so we did not opt for this.
Two room cards were handy, I didnât fell 100% secure with the door lock design however we didnât experience any problems.
Comfortable bed and free two bottles of water.
I recommend checking out Mariaberget for some nice views and then heading to Cafe at Hornsgatan 33, 118 49 for a 35KR latte which is the best I could find in Stockholm.
I do not recommend the 7-11 coffee.

Great place to stay centrally in Stockholm. We Walker everywhere and did not take public transportation at all. Fantastic views from the room. We chose a superior room with private bathroom and everything lived up to our expectations. You just have to remember that this is a budget hotel and hostel. Very cheap for a central location in Stockholm. We visited in January, but the room was nice and warm. Bathroom was not heated, but they had placed an electric heater that we turned on while using the bathroom and that was just fine for us. The staff was lovely and allowed us to check in several hours early. We had only asked if we could leave our bag, but they had the room available. Probably possible due to low occupancy in January. I loved the unique stay and would definitely recommended. Would like to visit again in the spring or summertime.

The Hotel Sauna was very disappointing, the light was broken and the heater wasnât even hot? Frustrating for a 5* Hotel.

Clean and modern apartment style hotel. Good location close to Bromma Blocks shopping mall and close to the tram. There are also EV chargers at the parking lot. Some downsides were that the windows could not be opened (we had to get a key from the reception to open the window) and the reception ran out of toilet papir in the evening. They also charge extra for towels and the housekeeping only cleans the room once a week.

A marvellous hotel with mordern infrastructure . Its literally next to the Urisksdal railway station ( 1 minute walk ). Breakfast was marvellous , dinner at the hotel was perfect . The pool was not working duting our visit , it was under some maintanance but we had the chance to use the sauna ( at an extra cost) and it was fantastic . I would definitely recommend .

Quite a few small issues though that they could easily improve upon.
Curtain doesn't close all the way so there is some light in the room from the buildings next door that keep their lights on at night. Internet and phones weren't working the night I arrived. They could have told me that upon arrival.. There was some urban construction at 4am for some strange reason. I was told I had made two bookings but I only paid for one. Not sure what happened with the second one that they said I made. Wish they would have followed up with me so I didn't have to worry about it.. They say there is a swimming pool on trip.com but then I found out you can't actually swim in it. They should be more transparent about the size and purpose.
I'd still consider it again though.

AAToiChecking in at 3 pm is quite late, especially after arriving from an early flight at 9:15 am. I inquired about early check-in, and even though several other travelers arrived around the same time, it wasn't clear whether they booked through Trip.com or directly with the hotel. I found myself waiting around the hotel for nearly 2 hours in the hope of securing an early check-in. However, the response I received when I inquired about a room was, âYou can return and check again if a room becomes available, but check-in time is at 3.â
I was exhausted and took my chances, waiting for almost 2 hours, and fortunately, a room became available. What surprised me was that the guest service at the front desk didn't proactively inform me when a room was ready, even though I was waiting in the lobby area, which is relatively small and not far from the counter.
As for breakfast, it was decent, but I encountered a disappointing incident. I placed my food on the table and briefly left to get coffee, but upon my return, I found that the table had been cleared, including the fresh food I had taken.
On the positive side, the hotel's location is quite convenient, being close to Central Station and within easy walking distance of various points of interest. Apart from the late check-in and the breakfast table issues, everything else about the hotel was satisfactory.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed at the Sparrow for 3 nights in mid-May, two adults and a teenager. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to pretty much anything, and the subway is nearby too. The hotel is charming and very clean, and the staff, especially at the reception, were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, a bit above average for this price point. The rooms have some quirks, such as the door that opens outwards, the bathroom door that is on a very heavy spring and closes all the time, without any option to keep it open, and shower doors that don't keep the water in. The hotel is just a couple of doors down from two nightclubs, and although the noise doesn't make it into the room, the street is very âclubbyâ in the late hours. Overall the price felt a little high for what you get, although I suspect that prices were higher than normal because Taylor Swift was in town for the weekend.

JJM MacaWe couldnât have picked a better hotel for our quick vacation in Stockholm this April 2024. Motel L is stylish, reasonably priced and conveniently located. Upon entering the hotel, we were impressed by the contemporary design of the lobby and the carpeted floors. Our check in experience was a breeze. At 15 sqm, our room was on the small side but it was never lacking in style â there were two comfortable Carpe Diem beds and a rainshower in the bathroom. The soundproofing was also excellent affording us two restful nights.
The location is unbeatable â thereâs a coffeeshop (Espresso House) and a supermarket (ICA Supermarket) right next door. And the Martensdal tram station is just literally outside the hotel, like less than 50 steps away. It usually took us 20-30 minutes to get to T-Centralen.
We were very pleased with Motel L and would never hesitate to come back here. Also worth mentioning are the warm and friendly staff. Shout out to May who really charmed us with her personality during our stay!

Lovely quaint hotel right in the old town. Can walk everywhere from here. The staff were wonderful. Room was small but adorable. Breakfast was a wonderful treat. The only negatives were that there were no usb ports or US outlets and that there is no free coffee or even water in the lobby ( you could get it for a fee) and no coffee maker or hot water for tea in the room. Otherwise a great experience.

I stayed in this hotel for several days. I had given some medication to be kept in the hotel fridge and it turns out that the fridge broke down and the temperature dropped to -15C and three weeks of treatment was destroyed. Unfortunately, not only are these medicines very expensive but they are not available in a simple pharmacy but only in a hospital. The staff at reception were totally indifferent and were of no help in informing me about nearby hospitals. It took me two days to get new medicine. I fully accept that the hotel is not responsible for a fridge that breaks down, but I assume that the hotel must have some insurance to cover this kind of damage (over 6000 SEK in this case). The staff at reception told me curtly that I had to speak to the management, but unsurprisingly the manager wasn't there that day, and hadn't planned to be there the next day, or even the day after that. Needless to say, I never received a reply to my emails. For these reasons, and in particular the indifference shown by the staff and management, and although this hotel has charm and I've stayed there regularly on previous visits to Stockholm, I won't be coming back.

HHelen Alkforsvery service minded, we got upgraded since we told them that it was our honey moon. great gesture. Good breakfast with many gluten free alternatives. didn't like the coffe flavour, not my kind of cup of tea, so to speak

PPengguna TetamuThis was not what we were expecting at all. Iâve slept on a 14.5 hour sleeper train in India, in a damp tent in the Serengeti surrounded by hyenas, hostels across Europe, I can fall asleep in airports even, but this is was the least comfortable nights sleep of my life! Luckily we only stayed for 2 nights, had it been longer I would have moved. We arrived at about 8.30pm and the main door to the small foyer/ breakfast room was not manned, which in itself was concerning, I tried calling the number on my booking and the number on the door, my partner walked around the underground lair to try and find someone, we called out down there everything! After about 10 minutes a guy who my other half actually passed in the hall appears. Surely he could see that he was wandering round looking lost?! As part of the booking speil⊠he adds that the desk is manned 24hours a dayâŠ!!! Definitely NOT! I knew Iâd booked a twin room but was surprised to be greeted with the smallest room Iâve ever stayed in, with bunk beds, honestly fine for friends and back packers, but this is not a cheap hostel! The bunk beds may be the worst designed bunk beds Iâve ever seen, the ladder planks were constructed the wrong way so you had to place your foot on the narrowest part of the slat! Once I got to the top, the mattress was sunken in the middle, and lumpy, and the sides of the bed were scratched, and even had initials carved on it! And the pillow was more like a fat lumpy scatter cushion. This along with unpleasant smells from the corridor, no window, the rooms rattling when the neighbours moved, dust on the surfaces, and no control over the heating made for two wholly uncomfortable nights sleep. They shouldnât advertise breakfast as breakfast, rather morning snacks as there was a bowl with apples, a bowl with cookies in and a platter of sweaty clingfilmed cheese rolls. Along with cold coffee and tea. We skipped it the second day! They shouldnât advertise the Wi-Fi as working either, I feel like these days it should be a very basic standard to include sufficient Wi-Fi in the rooms, itâs virtually non existent. It shows as a signal then âno internet connectionâ. The pros are the fact that the location is quite good, and the staff are fairly friendly. We had a laugh about the ridiculousness of the room/cell. This is why I wonât give it 1 star. But really this cannot and should not be advertised as a hotel, and should be advertised at HALF the price it is as a hostel, as then I think it will do quite well.

No cleaning service: in the three days that I stayed I always saw the same dirt around: Used underwear hanging, used paper on the floor (everywhere, even in the corridor), beard hairs on the only bottle of soap, on the sink and on the sink counter... When on the second day I asked to the reception guy when it should be cleaned, I was told that it had been cleaned the day before (absolutely false since the dirt was always in the same position) and that they had been cleaning at that moment for two hours... (and the only thing I saw done was emptying the bins, by two quite ambiguous people who live in the hostel and the previous evening were drinking alchool in the common all that for sure are no cleaning service staff)... all the dirt was left there. There is no one at reception before 10am or after 6pm. The telephone number doesn't even work, so absolutely don't arrive late Tiny rooms, THE PHOTOS ARE FAKE, there are two bunk beds less than a meter apart. IF you are taller than 1.70 meters you risk continually banging your head against doors, low bathroom vaults and pipes protruding everywhere As if that wasn't enough they ask for 10 euros for sheets and you have to pay if you want to use the locker. only two positive things: 1-being underground (without windows) and with quite thick walls it is quite quiet 2-it's in the center
