Note that while it’s very near to the station, it’s on the other side of the town area so need to walk a distance But bonus is there is in-house onsen (very clean and nice), bath bomb if u wanna stay in your own room, and Happy hours with free flow of drinks and basic rice… love my stay here!!!

福地温泉は奥飛騨温泉郷の中でもいかにも山中に来たというちょうどいい寂れ感があって、この元湯孫九郎も温泉が充実しつつも秘湯っぽい雰囲気がいいと思います。 価格帯的にもサービス的にも、旅館としては中級なので、高級旅館のようなおもてなし感を期待してると少し残念かもしれませんが、温泉メインでちょっと奥地らしい旅館を求めてる層にはしっくりくるんじゃないでしょうか。 正面玄関の雰囲気と比べると、部屋は改装してそれほど経っていないのできれいで、設備等も申し分ありません。デイベッドのある部屋に泊まったので、湯上りにそこでだらだら本を読んだりして、とてもリラックスできました。 あちこちに置いてある小物類もかわいくて良いアクセントでした。 温泉は混み具合にもよるのかもしれませんが、旅館の規模に対して内湯・露天風呂・貸切風呂と十分にあり、泉質も変えてあるので何度も楽しめます。バスタオルが人数より多めに用意されてるのも、温泉をエンジョイしてほしいという配慮が感じられました。 料理はそれほど凝ったものではありませんが旅館の雰囲気とも合ったこの地域らしい内容で、飛騨牛もおいしく、量も十分ありました。 それ以外にも、庭や高級音響設備の部屋など、ちょっとひまだなと思ったらウロウロするところもあって、2泊3泊といても、のんびりする目的なら飽きずに過ごせると思います。時期は限られるでしょうが、7月上旬の庭にはホタルも飛び交っていて、テラスからは星空もきれいで、手持ち無沙汰になりがちな夜も楽しめました。 接客の人によるムラも、この規模の旅館なら味と思える範囲で、困ったことなどはありませんでした。 全体に小規模旅館なのでオーナーのセンスが色濃く出ている部分もあり、そこが合うか合わないかで印象も変わってくるかもしれませんが、インテリアやスタンスなどトーンが整っていて、旅館としてバランスがとれていたと思います。

The best hotel I stayed in my trip! Location is perfect, 3-5mins walk to jr, bus terminal, and the resto味藏天國. The design is grand and classy, heat is sufficient. The outdoor onsen is not big but very very comfy. Room is large, clean and comfy, the best thing is about the washing machine and microwave! Never seen any in the hotels I stayed. Got netflix and youtube on TV. Great great value. I would definitely come back and stay in this hotel again!!

Country Hotel Takayama is the perfect home away from home in Takayama, Gifu Japan.This hotel is located right across the Nohi Bus Terminal which is right beside to Takayama Train Station. When you get off from the bus, you will immediately see the building. Aside from their perfect location, this hotel also has a KONBINI (are Japanese convenience stores) Family Mart at the ground floor, open 24 hours. Morning markets, Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, Old Town Street, Hida Kokubunji Temple and Nakabashi bridge are a few tourist location you can easily access by walking (10-15 minutes) from the hotel. I was here last February 24 to 26, 2020. The room is quite spacious for me, got a single room type but I think it can accommodate 2 people in it. I was able to booked it online through Agoda.com for Php 4,024.78, not bad! It has complete basic amenities you can find in a room including a comfy sleeping robe. Room is super clean and smells so good. Considering I wrongly booked the smoking type room. The only downside I had about the room was that the heater was broken. It was so hot inside, thanked God it was winter time so I just slightly opened my window. So cold breeze from the outside can get in. Overall, Country Hotel Takayama is HIGHLY RECOMMEND aside from their perfect location. Staff are very good, speaks English and really helpful and accommodating. Their Manager helped me booked a taxi who is going to picked me up at the highway on my route to Gujo Hachiman. Because taxis in Gujo Hachiman are booked a day before your arrival and they don’t speak English at all. And If you’re a Filipino, you are most likely going to bumped into one of our kababayan who is working on this hotel. So far, she’s the only Pinoy here and she speaks Bisaya, from Davao City. Room was pretty spacious by Japanese standards. I enjoyed that they offered three private onsens that you could use at no additional cost with no reservation required. Free ice cream is available after your bath. There are hotels closer to JR Takayama Station but it’s still a reasonable walking distance.

The hotel is only 1 block across the JR station with many restaurants around the area, less than 10 minutes leisure walk to the historic area. Room is very well maintained and spacious, with comfortable beddings, strong showers. The hotel is very responsive with my emails and questions, I feel that they are really trying their best to accomodate my request with occupant change that we really appreciate. Breakfast is adequate with a good selection of hot dishes, Japanese and continental. Overall a great hotel in Takayama

Superbe hôtel, complètement neuf bonne taille de chambres , à côté de la gare, mais, pas de bruit et pas loin de quartiers traditionnels de la ville. Onsen à l'intérieur, possibilité de le réserver pour 45mn. Grande découverte, tout confort, cet hôtel à plein de petits détails pour un excellent séjour et bien entendu son personnel et toujours aux petits soins avec nous, d'une énorme gentillesse .

คุณลุงคุณป้าเจ้าของบ้านใจดีมากค่ะ มีบ่อ ออนเซนหลังบ้านแช่ฟินยาวๆเลยค่ะ ราคาเหมาะสม วันกลับเจ้าของมาส่งขึ้นรถบัสด้วยค่ะ ในบ้านมีห้องครัวสามารถประกอบอาหารได้ แล้วเจอกันหน้าหิมะฟูๆนะคะ

Vicinissimo alla stazione, si raggiunge in pochi minuti l'edificio, si prende la scala mobile e si sale al primo piano dove è presente la reception. Le stanze doppie sono nella media delle stanze giapponesi, quindi piccole, ma tutto sommato tranquille. Nell'hotel è presente servizio di lavanderia fai-da-te ed è possibile (anche se non ci sono andato) usufruire dell'onsen; difficoltà di comunicazione con il personale della reception. La cosa più simpatica dell'hotel resta il sarubobo gigante (ossia la bambola-amuleto tipica della cittadina) che staziona all'ingresso della reception. Consigliato per chi è di passaggio per Takayama e per chi vuole una base di partenza per la visita al caratteristico paese di Shirakawa-go.

I can't comment on value as this was part of a cycle tour with my bike club (BAC) and Cycling Japan, but my room was really lovely and quiet with a great view. I loved the comfy bed and ergonomic desk chair. The onsen was on the top floor and really lovely with inside and outside pools. The staff was super helpful (the manager helped me find and reserve a wonderful dinner choice - Bistro Kanzo) and breakfast was also really good with local items (not your too-often too many overcooked and deep-fried items). Also, a perfect location for exploring Takayama. This is my 4th trip to Japan and I have stayed in so many accommodations on cycling and hiking tours, so I do have some context. For me, Alpina checked all of the boxes: room, view, staff, breakfast, onsen, location.
