Stayed at this "hotel" for several days before going to another city. I returned to stay again for more days. When I arrived the girl at the front didn't say anything that was welcoming in Japanese such as "Welcome back" despite knowing I speak Japanese. Neither does she had ANY smile on her effing face. Why? Because it is my life and I returned 2 days later instead of earlier.
She did not know I had a reservation to stay on that day. So she probably didn't smile because of that? Regardless, it is not hospitable and NOT Japanese customs or tradition at all. Unlike hotels, this place does not hold baggage for free even if you are returning to stay here again.
Shower rooms are next to the front desk where you have to walk in front of people after a shower.
Towel or toothbrush are NOT provided. Only the room is included in the price.
