The hotel was located on the Venezia, IT - Pola, HR canal with wide spanning views. The hotel itself is beautiful, the decor is elegant and the garden setting for drinks or meals is lovely. You can also eat and drink on the esplanade in front of the hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Bring your own face cloth/washer as we have found they don’t supply them in any of the hotels we stayed in across Italy. Some staff were more friendly than others. Shout out to Barney. Reception staff were great also. Location is out of main city centre but is only a water taxi (€70) away or take the water bus (€9.50). Overall pleasant stay.

I am currently at this hotel. We checked in yesterday for just one night. We left our luggage in the room and left to explore the place. Behind our back person stole money from my daughter’s purse. They were suppose to switch our luggage to different room type and they told us we will move it for you while you all are out and while doing that person stole money. We complained and all they said is they apologize and they are informing the manger. Till this morning no answer. I’ll be leaving this hotel in few hours and I’m sure after that they will be replying to my review saying all nice bs. Also, too hot in hotel and in room. AC is not working. We asked for fan so we could sleep. (See the picture) Broken shower door.

This was a special trip to celebrate a birthday and wedding anniversary and as such, we arrived in style by private water taxi direct to the jetty in front of the hotel - a fabulous start to a wonderful holiday! We received a very warm welcome from the reception staff (Martina, Andrea and Maddalena) and were delighted to find we had been upgraded to a beautiful canal view room with a lovely bottle of chilled Prosecco awaiting us - a big thank you especially to Martina Steri on reception for ensuring our stay was memorable! Il Palazzo Experimental is a gorgeous hotel, with beautiful interior design throughout, a lovely garden courtyard area at the back where you can enjoy breakfast and dinner, and a terrace at the front for cocktails! Breakfast was served a la carte (with a good choice of items to choose from) and we also enjoyed a wonderful dinner one evening in the garden -would highly recommend the hotel restaurant. We have been to Venice many times and we love this particular area in Dorsoduro with its slightly slower pace of life, yet still easily accessible to the main tourist attractions. This hotel is a welcome and very stylish addition to the area, to which we hope to return in the future. We also enjoyed a fab dinner at a newly opened restaurant’ Regina Corner’ in Campo Santa Margarita (well worth a visit) and spent a lovely afternoon sipping cocktails at ‘Ombra del Leone’ with its terrace overlooking the Grand Canal towards Salute (located in the Biennale building next to the Monaco Hotel / Harry’s Bar) -it has a similar view to places like the Monaco & Gritti Palace but at a fraction of the price! Overall we had a fabulous trip in Venice, and really enjoyed our stay at Il Palazzo Experimental, with its contemporary style and its welcoming, friendly yet professional staff. It’s a great hotel. Absolutely. Good rooms, great staff, nice common spaces. But I booked for 4 nights and for 3 of them the AC malfunctioned and they ran out of fans. I did not sleep well. At these rates I expect to sleep in a temperate environment. This was not the case. Management was indifferent. I see from reviews that this happens regularly. So I although I come to Venice for every biennale would never book here again. Adored the receptionist and bartender who were stupendously hospitable. But this level of malfunction and management indifference to basic amenities is inexcusable.

arrived here by speedboat and were greeted with a lovely staff and nice rooms. The hotel was right on the water and the breeze is helpful during the hot summer months. Sitting in the courtyard you can sip literally the best coffee I ever have had and watch the gondolas cruise by. Its on the quiet side of Venice which is preferable for me, and easy to access the other islands, such as Lido for swimming. The only criticism I had was with housekeeping. We stayed three nights and the coffee pods were never replaced. When they cleaned the bathroom, my teens clothes were left on the bidet, which was wet, and open and why? However, no place is perfect and this was close. Can recommend without reservation!

What a lovely hotel in a very convenient location - more hotels and restaurants and bars along the lagoon promenade. The water bus stop and a Conad supermarket are just two minutes walk away. The breakfast in the hotel was very good, freshly made to order, on each visit. One dismaying aspect are the rooms on the first floor that overlook an enclosed space with bedroom windows from the neighbouring hotel overlooking. The room has a lovely high ceiling but the huge windows need blackout curtains to give comfortable sleeping. To overcome the overlooking, to have any privacy, you need to keep the curtains closed all day and accept your room is full darkness. After two days of complaining about this we were moved to a much better room on the top floor overlooking the gardens at the back of the hotel. The gardens are a particular feature of the hotel and a splendid cool location on hot days.

Absolutely stunning hotel - the interiors are beautiful and the location is excellent. Staff are warm, friendly and helpful. They helped me many times with advice for transport and routes to take to make the most of my trip. My room was clean and comfortable. Everything you need for your stay. Food was really lovely too. Breakfast is a choice of a wide range of sweet and savoury options - I sampled both during my stay. I had dinner there twice too - food was incredible. Loved the location - about a 25 min walk to St Mark’s Square, which I loved as meant I got to explore more along the way. And there is so much to see en route to the main touristy areas. For me, I liked to be somewhere quieter that I can go back to relax in after a busy day of exploring. Highly recommend this gorgeous hotel.
