I can't say enough good things about this B&B. It was truly like staying in a museum. The place was absolutely beautiful and well cared for. So much history. Randy, the owner met us at the door when we arrived and showed us around so we were aware of all the areas to explore. Our room was beyond beautiful and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were given 4 pillows and told if they were not to our liking there were many more to choose from. We also took advantage of the steam shower for two which is like a sauna and shower combined. Breakfast was served in the morning and it was three courses. Each course was delicious and beautiful. My breakfast consisted of fresh strawberries over Greek yogurt, granola and then a savory egg dish served over polenta. We will defiantly be back! I choose this place to celebrate my birthday and it made the day very special. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area that wants not just a spot to flop but a place that is a true experience.

What an unexpected delight! Our one night stay at The Stewart Inn, left us wishing we had planned for more days in Wausau. We were welcomed very warmly and graciously by Randy, who gave us a tour and some history of the Inn, as well as making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. After checking in, Jeff and I walked to a superb Italian meal ( one of Randy’s recommendations) which was just a few blocks away. The Stewart Inn’s bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower was excellent. And the breakfast was a multi-course meal, which was very good. And the location was lovely for an evening stroll. Truly our stay couldn’t have been better.

The Stewart Inn may be the nicest place we have ever stayed. The hosts are terrific, friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast was excellent and they accommodated my vegan wife. This was our second stay there and we will be back.

Really beautiful arts and crafts mansion designed by George Maher converted to a boutique hotel. The structure is very well preserved and has original light fixtures and lots of oak trim and stained glass. Breakfast was included and was prepared, plated, and served by the owner. So impressive. I feel lucky to have stayed a night. A place like this should be hard to get a reservation for months in advance but it was not fully booked the night we stayed. Go.

This wasn't just a stay at a B&B it was an experience. First of all the Inn was immaculate and restored to its' original beauty. Modern amenities were added - wifi, cable, luxury bathroom and room. The owner was gracious and a great chef. He also provided an informative tour and gave interesting historical tidbits. The breakfast was delicious and served with love. The wine reception was nice and allowed time to interact with other guests.

Everything was perfect! Incredibly clean and guest amenities were excellent. The host was welcoming, and well informed of dining and other activities in the area. The breakfast was phenomenal! The bed-and-breakfast is an historical building, which made it even more appealing. The outside grounds were relaxing as was the neighborhood. The amenities were within walking distance to the bed-and-breakfast.

Wow! This is the kind of historic home that is normally toured only as a museum, where you aren't allowed to sit on the furniture, touch the woodwork or take flash photography. We are big fans of the Arts and Crafts style, so you can only imagine how delighted we were with the architecture and furnishings. It was a privilege to be able to spend the night here and enjoy not just our bedroom but the entire first floor living areas. Being able to spend time in this house was an unforgettable experience. Everything about our stay was first class.

Really enjoyed our beautiful room with a loggia for relaxing before or after an enjoyable day in Wausau. Randy was an exceptional host and, as it turned out, breakfast chef. You will not be disappointed in this beautiful home lovingly cared for since 1906.

This is our 5th time at the Stewart Inn. We took advantage of The beautiful weather by booking the room with the veranda. We sat there with a glass of wine in the evening. Complimentary Happy Hour wine was served on the main level covered porch. Beautiful! The level of service and friendliness is top-notch in this beautiful Inn. Thank you Kathy!
