Very comfortable and clean room..nice view..and breakfast so delicious..near to zermatt station..1-2 minutes walking distance..near to shop and coop..if u want to go to Matterhorn view point-u can stay here..near to the train station

The room is cool but the lobby is cooler with the Michelin Star restaurant. The view is magnificent. The spa is one of a kind. The deal breaker is the staff. Starting from receptionist until restaurant manager are not in the position of being the face of such a beautiful property. From the check in process until the dinner time, the staff were not giving us warm welcome. Especially during the dinner time, Margaux is a terrible restaurant manager. Little did we know, the restaurant in the lobby was awarded as 2 Michelin Star Restaurant. Margaux forgot to concern about our allergies we mentioned and kept rushing back to ask something to Chef Flo who looks very patient with everyone. We were thinking that she is some sort of new team member since she looks lost of what she is doing. One of our friends who owned a restaurant in Zermatt told about this restaurant always have problem with new staff because nobody want to stay longer. Unfortunately, Chef Flo wasn’t there when we finished the dinner to give our feedback directly with him, so we asked Margaux if we can meet the manager and awkwardly she said she is the manager. What a surprise! But not a surprise this restaurant lost its star. It’s all about experience not just the amazing food. Apart from her attitude during the dinner, overall our stay were pleasant and will definitely booked the room but not the dinner the Michelin Star restaurant. Regards from Spain

This has got to be the cutest hotel in the area and definitely the oldest. They pick you up at the train station in a cute electric car and whisk you away to the hotel. Even though the hotel doesn't have A/C, there is no need due to the crisp Zermatt nights. You are in the middle of everything Zermatt. The breakfast was phenomenal and the views of the Matterhorn were indescribable. The service at the streetside cafe was superb. Book this hotel now for your Zermatt stay.

We LOVED staying at the Hotel Capricorn. No glitz or glamour, it’s a down-to-earth quiet, cozy, comfortable, clean, and friendly boutique hotel. It’s an easy walk to the train station, shops, restaurants, Old Town, and the various ski lifts. The ski room was clean and comfortable for donning/doffing your equipment. The heated boots racks were delightful. We enjoyed recapping our day in the lounge with a beverage from the self-service wine, beer, and soda bar. The free wellness spa was top notch. What could be better than watching the sunset from the outdoor whirlpool or sitting in the sauna, infrared sauna, or the steam room? The free breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh fruit, hard and soft cheeses, meats, breads, cheesy scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, and assorted toppings for yogurt, muesli, and oatmeal. There were items for gluten-free or lactose-intolerant guests. Most importantly, the staff were top-notch. Everyone made you feel welcome. Even the cleaning staff provided a daily welcome gift! The friendly receptionists were my heroes. They came to my rescue when I lost my wallet. They called various places, checked various websites, and located it! I was awe-struck as they spoke fluently in multiple languages.

What a wonderful place to stay! It’s my honeymoon trip and it’s the last stop in Switzerland, and when the hotel noticed that it’s our honeymoon trip and it temporarily prepared the special room for us! It’s an amazing experience over there! Thank you a lot!

This hotel is absolutely wonderful ! Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The staff without exception -- whether the driver who picked us up at the train station, the check-in staff, the people serving in the restaurant or the cleaning staff -- were all warm and welcoming, helpful and professional, and always available for questions. The food in the hotel restaurant was so good, both tasty and artfully presented, that we sent our congratulations to the chefs. The restaurant windows look directly onto the Matterhorn. Guests can also dine or enjoy a leisurely drink on a wide terrace that also has a direct view of the famous peak. We highly recommend this hotel.

We spent a week here for our ski trip and would highly recommend this hotel. Great location - ski down to Cervo spa at the end of the day and the hotel is steps away. Our balcony looked out at the Matterhorn …what a way to wake up each day! The color scheme in the room was brown and orange and although the colors were unusual, the furniture and beds were VERY comfortable. Our room and entire hotel was always spotless. Breakfast each day was served in lovely Swiss themed dining area and we were assigned a table (with a name card ) for the duration of our stay. The cappuccino is delicious and the buffet offered a variety of hot and cold options (bacon, eggs (scrambled and you can boil a fresh egg), assorted cold cuts, fruits, breads, yogurts… so many choices! Beautiful, CLEAN pool / hot tub /spa area. The staff at this hotel is incredibly friendly and really goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. We spent a few evenings at the hotel bar enjoying cocktails and chatting with the bartenders - they gave excellent recommendations for restaurants in town. We would absolutely stay here again 😊

The staff was very rude and unhelpful (except for the waitress at breakfast she was so kind.) They constantly seemed bothered by questions, and were often not at the front desk during the day most days we were here. At night, no one staffed the desk, and the hotel leaves keys unattended at the desk with guest names on them for pick up. As a female, this made me uneasy and seems like a safety concern. My last day there was a snow storm most of the town was shut down. But the staff wasn’t even at the desk to help get water/tea from the bar that is supposed to be open 8-16:00. They say they have a shuttle for guest but the first day they weren’t will to pick me up just before 14:00 since they stopped at 14:00, and going back my last day they were shuttling guest for the snow. They acted bothered when I asked them to assist me with booking a tax to the train station. rooms were OK but very small. Wouldn’t recommend staying here largely due to how unhelpful the staff was. You can find similar rates for much better service.
