Excellent hotel - lovely room in the newer section, charming older reception area, amazing breakfast, good bedding and soaps, am sure the spa was lovely but we didn’t have time to use it. Staff efficient and pleasant. Really would recommend.

If you are young and can afford to stay here, I would flat out advise you to look elsewhere. I would also highly recommend this staff be enrolled in an age discrimination course. One quick note before the review - if you only speak English, you will find your conversations to be rushed and the instructions they provide to be very disorganized. Follow up questions will be met with frustration. Moreover on the age discrimination - we were disrespected by the staff both upon check in, then again when on the phone asking about the faulty AC unit, and again when providing the receptionist feedback that we received a poor experience with our massage. What was the most shocking part, and the reason for this review is the absurdly unprofessional and physically hostile experience I had with the owners son (manager). I shared my experience with the receptionist and he walked right up to me less than a foot from my face, trying to physically intimidate me, and told me this therapist had something like 30 years of experience and had worked on royalty - not even taking a second to receive my feedback. He then raised his voice to say he WILL NOT be giving us a refund. And later went on to accuse my wife of not being able to afford it? As if we cared about a $40 reimbursement at a $700+ night stay. Your parent’s hotel is plenty within our means. Manager, if you’re reading this, all we wanted was to share our feedback and get an answer for a product we paid for, then didn’t at all receive the experience that was advertised - being that it would be a simple massage from a trained masseuse. Also, do you try to physically intimidate all of your customers who provide critical feedback, or just the young ones? You really need your check yourself. I think the young people reading this would find it offensive that, as you pointed out in your response to my wife, that all we were driving toward was a refund and that we should book a stay at a hotel that was more in a more in a price range. When, in reality, we were trying to share feedback in a professional manner. It’s a shame your response was not reciprocal.

Great hotel with great friendly staff. Was here with 40+ people and it was an amazing experience. Wait staff at breakfast and dinners were just wonderful, so friendly. Front desk people were knowledgeable and helpful. Would definitely recommend Albana Real hotel for anyone. Breakfast food was great and we had three meals here, one in each of three different specialities. Location was also very good, but in Zurmatt no location is poor

I visited Zermatt for a Pilates and wellness retreat. Though we were staying at another nearby hotel, we ventured out to the town and found the Alpenhof Cigar Bar & Lounge. Since it was July, the place was not crowded and we arrived about an hour before closing time. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by Ali, the cheerful and very hospitable bar manager. He walked us through the cigar selection and made sure that we had tastes of the local whiskeys that he had at the bar. The space is cozy with comfortable furniture, interesting books, and a great atmosphere. The hotel lobby which was right next door was beautiful. There’s tons of seating, cozy nooks, and spaces to hang out, read a book, or enjoy a drink. Our group had a FABULOUS time!! Ali was the best - he treated us like VIPs. He was attentive, knowledgeable and entertaining. He even allowed us to stay well past closing time. And before we left, he gave us a tour of the newly renovated hotel and spa. This is where I’ll be staying when I return to Zermatt in the winter.

Was blessed to get to stay here for two nights in early August 2024 in a suite overlooking the picturesque Zermatt village and church. From the moment of arrival, I was pampered, spoiled, and taken the finest care of until the second I departed in a special hailed taxi to the train station. I definitely rank this the very best hotel property I have ever stayed in around the world. It is the staff that really makes this property special. They value making unforgettable memories for every single guest. This hotel had been on my bucket list for many years. Earlier this year, I obtained a long awaited and hard earned promotion. The staff of Omnia made note of this from my first e-mail correspondence to them, and had a special letter of congratulations and bottle of champagne awaiting me in my room upon arrival. Special thanks to Esther who rolled out the red carpet as I arrived and helped me plan my time well in Zermatt, to Phillip who welcomed me with drinks and got me a coveted dinner dining reservation close by for some lovely cheese fondue, to Till who always inquired about me and answered all my questions, and especially to Diana at breakfast whose service was unparalleled and unmatched on every single need or request to start a lovely day. The sheer kindness and professionalism of every single staff member was unlike any I have ever received anywhere. All of your worries, fears are left behind you here, and you can truly relax in their incredible spa, pool, fitness center, library, and outdoor lounge facing the majestic Matterhorn. I also appreciate the manager Christian welcoming me and following up post-visit to ensure everything in my stay was top-notch. It was quite warm during my time here, and the rooms do not have air conditioning. However, they brought me a fantastic large standing fan into the bedroom that felt heavenly with the natural Zermatt air blowing in behind it. It was almost as if they had created ”customized” air conditioning just for you. Housekeeping was absolutely incredible throughout my stay with two visits daily. Loved the turndown service with the Swiss chocolate by the bed and the automatic room shades that go down. The shower, bathroom, and bathtub were all well appointed with the finest of amenities. The outdoor balcony was like right out of fairy tale with this beautiful town of Zermatt laying right below you. I will truly never forget watching the sun set and the lights come on from my suite, ”Room H.” I would love to return and see it all at Christmas with the snow on the ground. The room numbers use letters here, and they ask that you turn in your key before leaving. This is another charming touch that allows them to check in on you and offer more service. I just loved the secret cave entrace to reach the lobby via an elevator and the lovely, little mountain walking path you could use as an alternative.
