We had a lovely stay at Yujian No.8 in Huangshan Tunxi Old Street. The room was very spacious and beautifully designed with an artistic and elegant touch, creating a warm and unique atmosphere.
The location is perfect, right in the heart of Tunxi Old Street. It was very convenient to simply step outside and enjoy walking along the historic street, exploring the shops, local snacks, and the charming surroundings.
The butler service was excellent. They kindly helped us arrange transportation to Huangshan Scenic Area and also to the railway station, which made our travel very smooth and convenient. They also provided great recommendations for delicious local food.
Their warm hospitality truly made our stay more enjoyable. Overall, it was a delightful experience and a perfect place to stay while visiting Huangshan.

We used this as a base to get around different scenic areas. It was close to the west parking lot of Hongcun, where several buses can take you to different places, including the Huangshan Scenic Area. The hotel was tastefully decorated and most distinctively, it had a movie lounge and a tea appreciation area. Make use of the hotel's golf cart service to get to the west parking lot and back. There were afternoon snacks provided and they varied each day. The only downside was probably the lack of shops within a 200m radius.

Had a great time at this hotel. The host, Timo, is a legend and we spent a good time sharing stories and him teaching me about the history of the region, the culture and China as a whole. The room had a great view of the river and was very confortable. When leaving Timo offered to arrange a transfer to the train station which was super helpful. I highly recommend staying at this hotel is you are visiting Huangshan

很驚喜的一趟旅行，第一次住在池塘邊的房間，門還是木門，用的銅鎖，開關門都很有儀式感。晚上的魚燈遊行表演超級熱鬧，可以加入人羣，也可以直接在房間門口就能看，還有煙花秀，就很喜慶。晚上池塘裏的大鵝還會時不時吼兩嗓子，純天然白噪音，失眠人羣很推薦。早晚餐都是在藕園餐廳吃的，尊嘟很好吃！！還有還有入房登記時，管家會很貼心的幫你拎包，帶你辦手續，為你帶路，退房時意外收穫一份伴手禮！可惜衹能呆一晚，整體是一場非常平靜但快樂的充實感的旅程，下次必再來的！！

1、預訂房間以後，酒店很快打來電話，添加了管家微信，一下子就顯現了服務的效率感。 2、行程前通知我當天下午五點以後才能自駕上山，讓我避免了山下空等、浪費時間。 3、到店後給免費升級了客房，暖心。 4、酒店北側是公共停車場，車位充足，太方便。 5、停車場對面是月亮灣土菜食街，菜都不錯。 6、房間整潔乾淨，尤其驚喜的是有茶泡台，帶智能控制，朋友們飯後泡茶聊天，安逸啊。 7、沖淋花灑品質好，熱水來得很快，這在冬天太重要。 8、兩年前是從一條小路進店，現在新開一個門，走個小鐵梯就到停車場，贊。

Location: Walking distance from the gate entrance for free and easy travellers like us. Not far from all the main attractions in the town area. one of the cable car stations is just 2 minutes away and the bus to the other cable car station (to TianTai temple) is 5-10 minutes walk away.
The hotel also has a small restaurant. convenient if you just want to stay at the hotel at night.
The hotel next door offers great lunch and dinner buffet. We loved the spread.
Only thing that you need to take note is the hotel is located slight higher up the hill, need to walk up/down staircases to get there.

The best host we've ever had, he was very helpful and gave us all the informations we needed for the hike. We had the bests hikes thanks to his expert advice and could even enjoy the sunset at the top of the mountain.
The hotel is very clean and very confortable. You can buy food for the hike in the hotel. The hotel is perfectly located at the South Gate, very convenient.

The hotel is quite pretty (however a bit less than in the pictures). The service was nice.
The room had many weird things that made the stay not so comfortable - hard soup instead of liquid, tiny toiletries (not sustainable, not possible to read which one is shower gel or shampoo), the way the bathroom is connected to the toilet, the bathroom floor that keeps the water forever, dirty windows. The breakfast was small and cooked in front of you by a nice lady - however tasty. No coffee or tea available at breakfast - bummer :(

LLydiascapesMy stay in Tingquan Xiaoyuan has been absolutely delightful.
I booked a long stay here as a retreat and break from the work and it is exactly everything I need to unwind and recharge.
The guesthouse ran by a husband and wife team are so hospitable and go the extra mile to make sure my stay here is relaxing and I have everything I need to work and go about my day.
The room i am staying in is very brightly lighted with a desk for me to work. I have to say the bed is also very comfortable and I have been sleeping well every night.
The surrounding is so peaceful and tranquil, with gardens and flowers and mountain peaks in the distance. I am rather glad I am staying here in the valley instead of near the centre.
In terms of service, the boss is very helpful and responsive to my messages when we need to ask any question or require a pick up after the hikes. The lady boss is similarly extremely friendly, warm and kind and ensure my needs and well being is looked after every day. She cared for me like her own family.
I really appreciate them going the extra mile to help a foreigner like me who struggle with the language.
I would strongly recommend this lovely and cosy guesthouse to any local and foreigner who is looking for an amazing visit to Huangshan for a few days or up to a month. They will ensure you are well taken care of and your stay is absolutely delightful.

GGuest UserGreat stay at this place. The owners are very friendly and upgraded our room on arrival, they carried our bags to our room even though we were on the third floor. We received lots of advice of how to climb the mountains and they booked a shuttle bus for us to get to the train station the next day. The location is a 12 minute walk from the bus to the entrance gate of the mountains. Location is fine as being close to the bus stop is all that’s important, there isn’t anything to do in Tangkou and very few food options in the whole area, we found no western food at all but one Korean place. The hotel had everything we needed, a good bar and coffee machine, they had a washer and dryer, nice rooms that were pretty clean which had ac and heating. The lobby was comfy and they had movies playing on the projector in the evenings. Would recommend this place on a short trip to the yellow mountains!

GGuest UserMy family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise.
The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days.
At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us.
Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

GGuest UserThe accommodation has a free shuttle to/from the station, definitely a plus! It's only a 10 minute walk, but 10 minutes with heavy luggage is something you could miss. It’s a bit inconvenient that you have to call them to actually book the shuttle, because I don’t speak Mandarin and they don’t speak English, so a call would not be possible, but maybe that’s something that Trip could improve on. When I checked out, the lady told me (through a translation app) that she could drop me off at the station, which I was very happy about.
When I checked in, I got a room upgrade as well. I was alone so I didn’t really need two beds, but the the huge room was very nice after all those bunk beds in hostels! They also offer a carpooling service to the ticket office/entrance of Huangshan for a good price! Just tell them the night before that you’d like to go to Huangshan and they will arrange a shuttle for you (mine was at 7 am in the morning and I just had to message them when I wanted to go back to the hotel in the evening).
They can offer sightseeing tips, they can recommend you something to eat. Just ask and they will help you. Sometimes it was just a bit hard to communicate, the woman uses a translation app which works just fine, but the man doesn’t, he tries to explain everything in Mandarin by using gestures, writing it down in Mandarin … but then it’s obviously not easy to understand each other. That aside, they’re both so sweet and helpful. I would stay there again, if I ever come back!
Side note, Trip does not give you the correct address of the hotel (in English). Whichever map app I used, it would send me to an open space in the street of the hotel. The hotel is actually located just a bit further next to a (very good!) restaurant, but just ask someone in the street and they will bring you to the reception of the hotel, if you can’t find it. 😉

GGuest UserI've stayed at this guesthouse twice now. The first time was with friends, and I liked it so much I brought my family back for a second stay.
Compared to a standard hotel, the ambiance here is really unique, with a 'step-by-step, scene-by-scene' feel. I'd highly recommend bringing Hanfu (traditional Chinese clothing) for photos; they'll turn out beautifully.
The hotel service is excellent. Any requests communicated via WeChat were responded to very quickly.
I'd definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Huangshan or Huizhou.

Un business familial et ça se voit. Toute la famille est impliquée. À quelques minutes des bus pour la montagne n'hésitez pas à échanger avec les gérants pour avoir tout les informations.
Magnifique vue sur la montagne. Je recommande le restaurant interne pour le petit déjeuner et pour un chaud repas en fin de journée. Petite épicerie sur place, idéale pour de l'eau avant d'escalader la montagne.
N'hésitez pas à demander aux propriétaires pour organiser votre retour à la gare avec un taxi local. Cela vous coûtera moins cher que n'importe quel Didi.
Le reste est classique et efficace. Grands lits, prises internationales, salle de bain avec tout le nécessaire. Et propriétaire joignable en cas de pépin. N'hésitez pas à prévenir si vous arrivez tardivement !

A family business, and it shows. The whole family is involved. Just a few minutes from the mountain buses, don't hesitate to chat with the managers to get all the information.
Magnificent view of the mountains. I recommend the in-house restaurant for breakfast and a hot meal at the end of the day. Small grocery store on site, ideal for water before climbing the mountain.
Don't hesitate to ask the owners to organize your return to the station by local taxi. It will cost you less than any Didi.
The rest is classic and efficient. Large beds, international sockets, bathroom with everything you need. And owner reachable in case of a problem. Do not hesitate to let them know if you are arriving late !

MMichel SchuhI had an outstanding stay at this hotel and can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The service was first-class. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive and they made me feel genuinely welcome from the moment I arrived. When I told them that I planned to hike 黄山 (Huangshan), they took the time to help me choose the best route based on my experience and preferences, offering valuable tips. My room itself was spacious, perfectly equipped with everything one needs and very clean. One of the highlights was the large window, which offered a beautiful view of the mountain range. Another absolute highlight is the rooftop terrace of the hotel. It is a wonderful place to relax after a long day of hiking, and it offers the best view of the mountain in the entire town.
The location of the hotel is also extremely convenient, with several convenience stores and many restaurants right next to the hotel. The hotel staff can even arrange pick-up and drop-off at the next highspeed railway station with a cheaper fare than a regular taxi or a bus. I would definitely stay here again!

JJiahua02It should be said that this is a very distinctive homestay in Hongcun, and it is worth recommending. In fact, the biggest advantage of this restaurant is its food, which is considered to be the best tasting one I have had in Hongcun. The stinky mandarin fish is tasty, the ham and steamed tofu are fresh, and the green beans are crisp. I asked the people at the neighboring tables and they all said they had eaten several meals here and it has a good reputation. The environment of the mansion is quite photogenic and is particularly suitable for travel photography. There is a small study, a small garden, birds singing, flowers blooming, and a cute little black cat. It has a lingering charm of a century of accumulation and is suitable for friends who pursue a literary and artistic style. There are also disadvantages. It is relatively expensive, you get what you pay for. In addition, there is no exhaust fan in the shower room, and it is impossible to install it in an old house. You will get used to it, and it will not affect the use much. Finally, I have to praise the proprietress for her hard work in picking up and dropping off customers, and for not trying to sell you things. Although she is not as pretty as a beauty, she is very genuine and enthusiastic. If I come next time, I will choose this one again!

GGippiThe property is located in the heart of Hongcun, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic village on foot. As guests, you’re also entitled to discounted entrance tickets: just let the ticket office know you're staying here and they'll give you 50% off tickets. Room was exactly as in the photos, spacious, perfectly clean and featured a very comfortable bed and many accessories (bottled water, tv, haircomb, hairdrier, etc). The building’s traditional Chinese architecture was absolutely beautiful and on a rainy day, it created a wonderfully romantic atmosphere we will treasure forever in our memories. The staff were exceptionally helpful. They kindly met us to guide us to the hotel (since Apple Maps and AMaps can be a bit confusing in the area), provided umbrellas free of charge and even bring us back to the parking lot when we left. We had an excellent stay and highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Hongcun!
