However, if you are not familiar with local directions, you have to navigate through the railway transit station which is huge and confusing.
The hotel is located at people's road which is in front of the railway station. You can take a cab which cost around CNY 9 - 11. Drivers in this region are quite hot blooded but they are kind in general.
Decent and cozy place to stay. Breakfast buffet served on the second floor starting at 7:30. The sky is bright around 5:30 in the morning."

"The service was spectacular. The check-in ladies room, service, housekeeping, and the breakfast staff all were excellent. As well as the health club staff. The health club was nice to use because there were not many people, but the facilities are clearly older, but they were clean. I only gave four stars for cleanliness because there was a hair in the bathtub which could easily happen to anyone. Loved the mini bar and special Changchun welcome gift touch. Would be nice if bath salts or a bath bomb was provided. I ordered on *******."

"I had an absolutely amazing stay at the Hilton Changbaishan. The hotel is beautiful and offers a true 5-star experience with comfortable and spacious rooms. The real highlight, however, is the outdoor hot spring—it was incredible to soak in the warm water while surrounded by the snowy landscape. The atmosphere was so relaxing, and the facilities were top-notch. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the mountain!"

Есть диванчик со столиком и стулом. Вода, чай и кофе раз в сутки добавляется. Душа тропического нет, но лейка широкая и удобная, напор отличный, душ отделен от зоны туалета затемненной стеклянной перегородкой. Кондиционер работает превосходно, индивидуальный. Унитаз умный, но не настроен на смыв, смывали боковой кнопкой. Раковина расположена очень удачно, не в ванно-туалетной зоне, но и не в комнате, а как бы отделено от комнаты, очень удобно, мойка широкая и есть приличного размера поверхность на мойке есть холодильник. Завтраки больше азиатские, но найти что-то для себя можно. Готовят лапшичку двух видов (можно её и в виде супа попросить), к ней много добавок, есть острые закуски, овощи, немного фруктов, тесты и джем, немного готовой еды. Приличный кофе, молоко соевое и коровье, есть кипяток. Кто привык утром полноценно кушать и не любит китайскую и корейскую еду, наверно будет сложновато позавтракать, а так в целом неплохо. На 1 этаже ресепшене, там же в свободном доступе кофемашина, сливки, стаканчики, вода с лимоном. На первом же этаже две стиральных и две сушильных машины, уже заправленные средством для стирки.
Думаю, впоследствии отдельные моменты по отзывам гостей будут учтены администрацией отеля, а в целом все очень удобно и комфортно!"

"It was such a nice stay. The check-in went smoothly, no long waiting time. The facilities are just like they are captured in the pictures on the website. The staff is friendly, prompt, and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was the AC that would not cool the room but make a horrible noise. The breakfast provided various options and could satisfy both eastern and western testes. I highly recommend this hotel and its attentive staff. I would argue that this hotel is better than some other well-established options in the city."

"Our family of 4 had a wonderful 2 nights stay in mid December. The great service started even prior to our stay as we had 2 personal concierge 小张 & 莹莹 assigned to us. We had requested for connecting rooms via Trip and 小张 & 莹莹 contacted us directly via WeChat. They not only helped us get connecting rooms, they also gave advice and helped to arrange for our luggages to be sent to the hotel while a private driver (additional cost) picked us from the train station to start our tour of Changbaishan immediately so that we do not have to waste time traveling. All the staff at the hotel were wonderful as well. Our room package included 3hr ski tickets and access to the natural hot spring. It was our family’s first time trying to ski and we asked our personal concierge to arrange for private coach (additional cost). Immediately upon arriving at the ski lodge the coach was waiting and led us through the entire chaotic process of collecting and wearing the gears. The hotel has direct unlimited access to the hot spring and it was also a great experience not to be missed (Don’t forget to pack your swim wear!) It even has a fish pool where we dip our whole body. There’s also a Cute Pet Paradise with different animals you can feed. Overall there’s plenty of activities for everyone and we will definitely highly recommend the hotel to everyone coming to Changbaishan."

LLucywanThe Yunshuilanting Hot Spring Hotel is excellent. I traveled to Changbai Mountain with my elders and stayed in a Deluxe Twin Room with two large beds. The room was incredibly spacious and comfortable. Both the indoor and outdoor environments of the hotel are beautiful, and it's not far from various attractions, yet very quiet. The transportation is convenient, making it easy to get anywhere. The hotel staff are very kind, attentive, and enthusiastic. They offer an outdoor hot spring and free parking. There's also a fantastic barbecue restaurant right next door! 😄 Their breakfast is also good. Highly recommended.

DDuduss11Our butler provided one-on-one travel advice throughout our stay, including daily updates on the opening/closing of Tianchi Lake during the rainy season and park weather announcements. They proactively planned alternative rainy-day activities, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills. In August, Changbai Mountain experiences frequent rain and fog, and we were so grateful that the staff promptly informed us about Tianchi Lake's closure, saving us a wasted trip. Our rainy-day itinerary was well-arranged, making the entire journey worry-free and effortless. The hotel's location is excellent, and the facilities are quite comprehensive.

GGuest UserExcellent! Blue Horizon has been around since I was a kid, and even after all these years, it still maintains its 5-star standard. It feels like staying in a Nordic forest. The restaurant offers wild mountain vegetables with dipping sauce – the kind only true Changbai Mountain locals would recognize. You absolutely must try it! However, I'd suggest they make the portion sizes smaller; there's too much, and it'd be a shame to waste those delicious wild vegetables. The complimentary activities and attractions are also fantastic and definitely worth visiting!

This old dog finally flopped down in Jilin City, relieved to rest my paws at the grandly named Song Jiang Bonanza Winning Hotel. “Winning,” I thought—until my non-smoking room greeted me with a stale tobacco haze. One whiff and I nearly cancelled the stay on the spot.
Room Rescue
Cue Mr Hong Dejian—calm, English-speaking, and clutching the keys to redemption. He patiently showed me alternative rooms until we found one that didn’t smell like a poker night. Had I left, I would’ve missed what came next.
Comfort Food = Home
Dinner delivered a miracle: stewed chicken with potatoes and mushrooms. One bite and—boom—mummy’s cooking. After days on the road, I finally found food in China that tasted like home. Tail wagging resumed.
Care Beyond the Call
Mr Hong returned with a portable heater, pointed out city landmarks, and even taught me how to take a non-reflective photo (yes, this dog learns fast). His easy friendliness softened the edges of dirty window panes and mostly Mandarin-only staff. I even showed him the ink-black towel after wiping the window—evidence, not barking.
Menu Meltdown & A Win
At the restaurant, I was handed a Chinese-only menu after saying I don’t speak Mandarin. I hit the roof. To their credit, reception listened: I received a call from the lady boss, and the issue was acknowledged. Then a hero appeared—the restaurant lady, who patiently translated dish names so I could choose lunch and dinner without guesswork. Gold bone earned.
City Interlude: Jilin Catholic Church
Between meals and meetings, I visited Jilin Catholic Church (吉林耶稣圣心堂)—a quiet pause from hotel hiccups. The church offered a moment of stillness, a reminder that even on a bumpy stay, the city holds pockets of grace.
Logistics That Worked
Back at the desk, the reception lady manager efficiently arranged my transport to Wusong Island—quick, competent, and reassuring.
Breakfast & The Fine Print
Breakfast surprised me in the best way: healthy, balanced, a thoughtful mix of local and Western dishes. One final bone to chew—early booking didn’t pay off as prices dropped later. A truly Winning Hotel would honour the lower rate at check-in.
Verdict
Despite communication bumps, this is a solid winter hideout: good Songhua River views, comforting food, and fast service when it counts. It really does take one good sheep—thank you, Mr Hong—to dim the rest of the flaws.

AAnonymous UserThis was the most satisfying hotel we stayed at during our trip to Changbai Mountain Wanda Resort. The room was spacious, with a separate walk-in closet. The sofa and coffee table were perfect for enjoying some tea and relaxing. There was also a reading sofa by the window, a desk, and a lamp, all well-equipped. The chair was very comfortable, making it ideal for reading and writing.
Front desk staffer Xiao Ying was warm, thoughtful, and professional, answering all our questions. We received a complimentary breakfast, and our two children really enjoyed the buffet. The restaurant opens up to a lawn with lush greenery – very chill.
There were plenty of benefits, but the only downside was that each perk could only be used once per hotel. The next day, we switched to the Hyatt, and it was such a downgrade – the room was small, dimly lit, had no desk lamp, and the service was non-existent.

The hotel even has its own shuttle service with drivers who pick you up and drop you off wherever you need to go, and they even help you bargain! Much appreciated. Soaking in the hot springs while it snowed, then hitting the slopes at 8:30 AM – it was a fantastic experience.

GGuest UserThe decoration looks quite new, but it's a bit rough. The shower room leaks a little. The breakfast is relatively simple. The waiters are very nice and there is a washing machine and dryer. There is no charge for parking anywhere in Hunchun except at the high-speed rail station. There are a lot of Russians in the hotel, which is quite harmonious. When going to Fangchuan, it is necessary to first visit the Zhanggufeng Incident Memorial Hall, which is helpful for visiting Fangchuan Scenic Area. At a glance, you can see the train from Russia to North Korea. Of course, if you have time, it would be a good idea to take a look at the various lifestyles of North Koreans.

We've stayed at Xipo before, but this time we chose Beipo Endouli, which is located in the commercial district. After checking in, a butler helped us with our luggage. The room was clean and tidy, and breakfast was very varied. In the evening, there was a fireworks show at the scenic area. For meals, you can eat in Endouli or head to Erdaobaihe Town, which isn't far and offers many choices, especially Korean ethnic cuisine. Overall, even if you don't go out, staying at the hotel is very comfortable. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to and from the high-speed rail station.

2. The bunk beds were my kids' favorite! They said they want to come back to this hotel specifically because of them next time.
3. The sofa by the window spans the entire length of the room, so we could neatly line up all our clothes, which was incredibly handy.
4. The front desk staff and butler were incredibly responsive and accommodating. 100 points!
5. Perhaps because of the bunk beds, I noticed there were always two cleaning staff members, which is a big plus.
6. The evening activities were fantastic every day. After skiing, we'd soak in the hot springs, and right after dinner, we'd catch the iron flower show. The iron flowers were even more beautiful than fireworks.
7. The instructor was excellent. My 6-year-old was able to ski on their own after just two hours of one-on-one lessons.
Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our trip to Changbai Mountain. We'll definitely be back next year!

DDongdazhiziRight at check-in, we were given two warm bottles of Changbai Mountain mineral water. The room was standard, and the heating was very strong – we had to sleep with the window open. The hot springs, however, are in a separate building, and you have to walk through the lobby on the ground floor to get to them. The lobby and the breakfast area on the second floor weren't warm enough, making it easy to catch a cold after coming back from the hot springs. The hot springs themselves are communal and only have a few small pools; it's not really worth going unless you just want a quick taste of Changbai Mountain's hot springs.
