I thought the place was nice, but to be honest the blankets on the bed and in the cupboard annoyed me with static electricity. The shower water came out way too fast. But everything else was great and the people are very nice.

Lovely room, customer service was top notch, proximity to the Sandton shopping mall and Nelson Mandela Square was a huge plus....I mean just an elevator down and you are in the mall. You could actually bring your shopping cart into the hotel.

The hotel is quite clean and the location is convenient if you have to stay close to the airport. However, I have never met a set of hotel staffs as rude as the ones in this hotel. Btw, the food at the restaurant was horrible.

Hotel is rated at 5star but the amenities are quite average. The standard king size room is smaller than I have experience in some other hotels if that range. You do not find water glasses in the room. Room service is very slow and sometimes your call will just keep transferring between room service and reception if you needed something. If you ordered food in your room, you have to make payment immediately. It does not amount up to check out. There is only one restaurant, one cafe in the hotel. You can walk up to nearest restaurant for your food that is 800m away.Pool is there but you have to carry your own towel. The day we arrived, there was a birthday party around the pool with loud music. We avoided going to pool side. Shoe shiner is in the lobby and if you get your shoes cleaned he needs to be paid as compliment and that complement begins with 100rand minimum. To me it’s an average hotel and ok for a couple of days. It had some conference going on so extra crowd was also in the lobby for the two days we stayed If you are looking for a luxery experience, better choose another hotel. This hotel is ok for not more than two days of stay.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn Johannesburg Airport and I must say, the experience was very good. One of the standout features of this hotel is its shuttle service. It was extremely convenient, providing hassle-free transportation to and from the airport, which is a major plus for any traveler. The staff at the hotel deserve a special mention. They were not only professional but also exceptionally helpful and friendly. Whether it was assistance with luggage, or general inquiries, they were always ready to assist with a smile. Another highlight was the buffet breakfast. It offered a wide variety of options, all delicious and well-prepared. From fresh fruits and pastries to hot dishes, the quality of the food was impressive, and it was a fantastic way to start the day. Overall, my stay at the Holiday Inn Johannesburg Airport was delightful. The combination of the convenient location, excellent service, and great amenities like the buffet breakfast make it a hotel I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Johannesburg. Whether you're on business or leisure, this hotel is a great choice for a comfortable and worry-free stay.

The location is convenient in terms of proximity to the airport, for those wanting a cheap bed for transit, however, it is next to a freeway, so traffic noise late at night is a major disturbance. The front desk was kind an attentive, and did his best to cater for my needs. The pool is clean, but surrounded by cheap plastic furniture. The room was very clean, but appointments were quite basic. The bed was OK, the sheets were clean, but the mattress felt a little ”tired” not very supportive. Some guests at the pool were quite noisy and could have kept me awake if I wasn't already exhausted from my long flight. I think I ought to mention that there is no shuttle service or airport pickup and drop-off, which is not what it says on the Trip website. It's no fun finding out this fact when your expected ride fails to appear. Getting an Uber late at night to or from OR Tambo airport can be a lot more difficult than one would expect. So if you're looking for a cheap place to overnight between flights, this hotel could be on your radar, but don't expect it to be hassle-free.

Well, from what I booked, it was supposed to be a 2-bedroom apartment. However, I was given a 1bed (Room.303), and when I went down to enquire, the reception lady wasn't helpful and blamed it on the app. Then I had to ask for a wifi password, which I would have assumed you would be given at reception. I ordered something, and when I went down to get it, the same reception lady gave me a bit of attitude when asking her how to open the main door so I could collect. Now I'm not normally one to complain, but I guess she didn't realise she was dealing with a person who has worked over 15 years in reservations, and I am very much aware of how OTAs work. I am still very upset about the wrong room choice I was given and made to feel like I'm the one who made an error. Then there was NO iron and hairdryer in the room. Apparently, they don't have any available from what I gathered from the housekeeping lady. Besides that, the housekeeping lady was exceptional, and the apartment was very clean upon check-in. Hopefullysomeone from the place will address these issues.
