The Hong Kong Palace Museum is a collaborative project between the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and the Palace Museum, which officially opened in July 2022. The museum is located at the western end of the West Kowloon Cultural District, covering an area of about 13,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 30,000 square meters, of which the total exhibition hall area is 7,800 square meters. The building was designed by the famous Hong Kong architect Rocco Yim, with a magnificent appearance and a golden glow. Exhibition content • Palace Museum Collection: The museum displays more than 900 precious cultural relics from the Palace Museum, many of which are on public display in Hong Kong for the first time, and some of the collections have never been publicly displayed. These cultural relics cover many aspects of the Forbidden City, including architecture, art collections (including calligraphy and painting, ceramics, and artifacts), cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries in the Ming and Qing dynasties, court life, and culture. All-access ticket (Exhibition Halls 1–9) • Flexible time ticket: Can be used during the museum's opening hours in the designated month, and each ticket is only valid for one entry. The adult ticket price is HKD 220, and the special ticket price is HKD 110. Transportation: Subway • Kowloon Station: Exit E4 or E5, walk along Nga Cheung Road to the pedestrian bridge, cross the bridge, and walk along Museum Drive; or Exit C1 or D1, take the escalator to the 1st floor, and follow the instructions to enter ELEMENTS 2nd floor of the gold area, arrive at the art square bridge, cross the bridge, pass the M+ Museum, walk out of the museum road, and walk along the museum road. • Austin Station: Exit B4 or B5, follow the instructions to enter ELEMENTS, and then walk to the West Kowloon Cultural District. West Kowloon Cultural District Free Shuttle Bus Every day from 9:30 am to 7:30 pm (every 15 minutes), it circulates back and forth between the Hong Kong Palace Museum, M+ B1 floor pick-up and drop-off area, and the western entrance of the West Kowloon Cultural District (bus stop at the Kowloon exit of the Western Tunnel Toll Plaza).
