Try the Naxi breakfast “sandwich.” Overall, it exceeds the expectations of any reasonable person for a place as remote as this. Accommodations are basic but functional. We were there in November and the only sources of heat in our room were slightly hot water and a heating pad on the bed, and that was enough.

The temperature goes down to -10 at night but you can hardly feel it while inside the rooms. Their insulation is very good and the room feels warm everyday even without floor heating. Only downside was the low ceiling which we were not warned about. Hence, be extra careful when walking around in the room. The hosts are very helpful and would fetch/send us with the luggages to the North Gate. It’s within 5-10 mins walk to 四方街 and the 转经筒. Beautiful view of the whole 古城, which also means that it’s an upslope walk back to the accommodation. The dryer will be turned off between 11pm-930am everyday, but the hosts will kindly help you with your laundry if you ask! Highly recommended and one of my favourite stays in Yunnan!

I highly recommend it, 10/10. To be honest, this is the most comfortable hotel I stayed in during my time in Yunnan! I’m so grateful that I chose this hotel. I booked two rooms for 3 days and 2 nights, and I wish I could have stayed longer! The room was incredibly comfortable. The TV had many channels, and the Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Even though the weather outside was -12°C, we didn’t feel cold at all. The room was very warm, the heater worked great, and the toilet had a heater as well. The floors were heated too. The room looked exactly as advertised—huge, brand new, and super clean! The hotel offers all the basic facilities you need, such as a washing machine and a microwave. But among all the wonderful facilities and rooms, the biggest applause goes to the owner himself! The owner is extremely kind and helpful. He arranged a day trip for my family to Balagezong, lent us jackets for free, and even helped us with our luggage. He greeted us warmly upon arrival and waited for us so kindly. He also drove us to the railway station for free! Drinking water (bottled) is unlimited. It was available at the corner, and we could take it for free. I left my glasses in the car we rented for the Balagezong trip. The owner arranged to retrieve them from the driver, had them sent to me by express delivery, and I received them the next day. It was so meaningful to me, as I can’t see without my glasses! Oh, and if you're Muslim, there is a halal restaurant just two minutes' walk from the hotel. The owner guided us there. There are also many places to eat nearby, including Mixue, and a convenient store. Didi can take you directly to the front of the hotel. It’s very convenient! I really want to send my heartfelt thanks and kudos to the owner for such wonderful service and kindness. They are doing an excellent job taking care of the hotel. I really loved it, and I hope to visit again someday. Wishing the owner a long, healthy, and prosperous life! Thanks so much again for your amazing services ❤️

The location is just outside Dali Ancient City, walking distance to Ancient City and travel to other places is convenient by taxi. Easy access to lots of restaurants and stores outside the main road. The hotel is not big but is very beautiful and very special. The front desk and customer service are top-notch and helpful! Breakfast is good and nice. The rooms are clean, have nice beds and are quiet.

Mereka membantu saya mengatur tempahan dan pengangkutan untuk SEMUA tarikan yang saya pergi di Lijiang. Rumah penginapan ini terletak di tengah-tengah dan berhampiran dengan jalan-jalan utama bandar lama Lijiang, berhampiran kincir air yang besar. After reading all the review about the owner, I booked this hotel and really excited to experience the warm hospitality myself. But unfortunately I didn't have the same experience as other traveller. The receptionist not very interested in us. We book family room (suppose to be for 4 people) but the room is very small with only 1 small side table. And only 2 bottle of water, 2 towels and no slippers were provided. I had to ask for the extra set. The booking come with ”gift” but the receptionist didn't mention it at all until we ask for it (clothes dye and BAI ethnic costume for photo, she also only allow 1 set of costume which not mentioned in the booking).

The inn doesn’t have elevators, only a staircase, but the staff were so attentive—they carried my luggage up and down for me, ensuring I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The location is perfect for exploring the serene beauty of Shangri-la. Nearby attractions include Potatso National Park, Songzanlin Monastery, and Dukezong Ancient Town, as well as a nearby horse ranch, where you can dress in traditional ******* costumes and ride across the scenic grasslands. A small homestay located in the heart of the old town. There are enough shops and restaurants nearby. It's about a 10 minute walk to both the north gate and the south gate. Keep in mind if you have heavy luggage you would need to drag it around the cobblestone streets because no vehicle can reach the place. The service of the owner alone makes me rate this place 5/5 stars already. It didn't matter how many questions I asked, everytime he helped me out. If you are a solo traveller or don't speak any word of Mandarin then this is a great place to stay, the owner will make sure you don't get lost. While the service was perfect and couldn't be any better there are some negative things worth mentioning. First of all, the soundproofing is really bad. The room's door is full of holes and gaps so you can hear everything that is happening outside. Moreover, you better make sure you don't have any upstairs neighbours because you can hear everything what they do as well: moving around on the wooden floor, flushing the toilet, opening the tap, taking a shower. Second, talking about showers, the shower in the room takes quite some time to heat up (similar to most hotels in China) but the more annoying part is that its impossible to get the right temperature for the shower: its either way too hot or cold. Lastly, the curtains were full of disgusting stains and didn't block out all the light so I recommend just getting them replaced. All in all, this place has some positives and some negatives. Decide for yourself if you want to stay here. In my opinion, despite the negatives, I would definitely stay here again and recommend you to do the same.

We come to travel with family. vacation Reserve a family room with 3 beds. The rooms are clean, the lights are very bright, and the facilities are excellent. There is a projector. oxygen generator and humidifier But I don't have time to watch TV shows because I've been traveling all day and I'm exhausted. The bathroom is spacious, but there are disadvantages. The tile floor is very slippery. The shower and toilet spots are close to each other. The bathroom floor is not made in two levels to prevent wet floors from coming out of the shower area. The environment around the hotel is very good. Finding food to eat in the morning is close to the hotel. Walk to the ancient city for about 1 km. Enough to exercise.

I highly recommend this hotel. Our room had a balcony that directly faced Meili Snow Mountain. You can enjoy breathtaking views of Meili Snow Mountain, as well as the sunset and sunrise, without having to step outside in the cold weather.

Very well decorated and well equipped hotel. It comes with all the necessary amenities, consumables, and even has one oxygen tank in their lobby for those who need some extra oxygen. We got a decent family room. The only drawback is the poor design of its bathroom floor, which makes the water keep staying on the floor, without flowing out through the drain. The location of the hotel is great. There are restaurants, shops, supermart, within walking distance. The Dukezong ancient town is also just within proximity, thus you can visit the ancient town by just walking from the hotel.

Owner is very responsive with my questions. The owner will fetch you at the Shangrila high speed railway station if you stayed for at least 2 nights. Nice and simple breakfast was provided, great thumb up for the lady who prepared the breakfast in early morning. They will carry your luggage to your room as the room is located at level 2 (by stair). We have also washed our cloth in their hotel lobby (with soap provided). Owner is very caring where they provided the oxygen provider to us in our room. Overall good experience.

Excellent hotel, great views of the snow mountain and super friendly staff! 10/10 would recommend. The balcony has great views and the hotel decoration is very appealing! Will definitely come back again just for the location and views. They also have very healthy breakfast options that is great for digestion. A nice hotel near the entrance to the old town. A bit hard to find. The amenities are generally OK, the main advantage is a good air conditioner that works for heating. Believe me, in winter this is very important, you will not freeze here, and this is the main thing

I had a fantastic stay at this guesthouse in Lijiang! The owner was incredibly welcoming and made me feel at home right away. The location is perfect—close to the old town but in a quieter area, which I really appreciated. The view of the old town from the guesthouse is absolutely stunning. The room was great value for money, clean, and comfortable. A real highlight was the owner taking me on a memorable trip to Jade Dragon Mountain, which was one of the most impressive experiences of my visit to the city. She speaks excellent English and provided great company and insights during the trip. If you're looking for a warm, personal experience in Lijiang, I highly recommend staying here!

I recently stayed at Laixi homestay and had a decent experience overall. The staffs were friendly and hospitable as they served us local snacks to try while we chill in the guest area. Although the cleanliness of the place was not the best, it was still manageable as hotel disposable slippers were provided. The rooms were tidy but could have been cleaner. The breakfast provided was not too bad, a delicious bowl of noodles made by their local aunty. One thing I really enjoyed about Laixi homestay was the pool table in the guest area. It provided a fun and entertaining activity for guests to enjoy during their stay. It was unfortunate that we were not able to get nice views of the mountain due to bad weather. But I'm sure the view would be spectacular from their rooftop which is only accessible from one of their room. Despite the cleanliness issue, I still found the homestay to be a decent option for accommodation. The pool table and the laid-back atmosphere were definite highlights that added to the overall experience. If you're looking for a casual and relaxed place to stay, Laixi homestay might be worth considering.

It is a nice hotel with very nice viewing overseeing the old town and with 玉龙雪山at the back. I enjoyed the breakfast and interaction with the animals. 大成is our 管家。Even weeks before I checked in the hotel, we already liaised on WeChat. He is very helpful in responding to my questions. He fetched us from the entrance of the old town and sent us out. We do not need to push our luggage over the stone road.He is very responsive to my WeChat including those which are not within his work scope (helped me arrange the courier of my luggage from Lijiang to Kunming). Overall a good experience!

Very large room, very clean. The restaurant connected to the hotel was tasty and was open late. We did not book a room with a mountain view so it was facing construction, but we didn't mind since we were just there to sleep for one night. I recommend this hotel to get a good night's sleep after a long day of hiking!

In the charming land of Shangri-La in Yunnan Province, I found a homestay that exceeded all my expectations. Let me share with you the delightful details that made my stay truly unforgettable. The moment I stepped into my host family, I was greeted by a warm atmosphere. The decor perfectly blends local ethnic elements with modern comfort to create a unique and engaging space. This room is a haven of tranquility. The bed is very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep after a day of exploration. Soft, clean bedding adds a comfortable feel. Every corner of the room was meticulously cleaned and the thoughtful facilities provided made me feel right at home. The homestay staff was amazing. They were always friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure my stay was perfect. The common areas of the host family are well designed and attractive. Whether it's a cosy lounge or a peaceful garden, there's always a place to relax. Living in Guizhen is a wonderful experience. The attention to detail, the warm reception, and the beautiful setting make it one I highly recommend to anyone visiting this magical part of Yunnan Province.

We come to travel with family. vacation Reserve a family room with 3 beds. The rooms are clean, the lights are very bright, and the facilities are excellent. There is a projector. oxygen generator and humidifier But I don't have time to watch TV shows because I've been traveling all day and I'm exhausted. The bathroom is spacious, but there are disadvantages. The tile floor is very slippery. The shower and toilet spots are close to each other. The bathroom floor is not made in two levels to prevent wet floors from coming out of the shower area. The environment around the hotel is very good. Finding food to eat in the morning is close to the hotel. Walk to the ancient city for about 1 km. Enough to exercise.

Very well decorated and well equipped hotel. It comes with all the necessary amenities, consumables, and even has one oxygen tank in their lobby for those who need some extra oxygen. We got a decent family room. The only drawback is the poor design of its bathroom floor, which makes the water keep staying on the floor, without flowing out through the drain. The location of the hotel is great. There are restaurants, shops, supermart, within walking distance. The Dukezong ancient town is also just within proximity, thus you can visit the ancient town by just walking from the hotel.

Owner is very responsive with my questions. The owner will fetch you at the Shangrila high speed railway station if you stayed for at least 2 nights. Nice and simple breakfast was provided, great thumb up for the lady who prepared the breakfast in early morning. They will carry your luggage to your room as the room is located at level 2 (by stair). We have also washed our cloth in their hotel lobby (with soap provided). Owner is very caring where they provided the oxygen provider to us in our room. Overall good experience.
