Excellent hotel to spend time between flights. The hotel is close to the airport with a free shuttle service available 24 hours a day. Large and clean rooms, rich, varied and delicious breakfast. Additional meals can be ordered for a fee - all the dishes we chose were delicious. Excellent staff at the reception.

I appreciated the cleanliness of the hotel and its excellent location — both made my stay comfortable. However, I noticed that the furniture felt quite dated and could benefit from some refurbishment. The room itself was acceptable, but it lacked several basic amenities that I would expect: - No tissues - No complimentary water - No tea or coffee setup - No slippers - No iron - No standard toiletries or amenities Improving these small details would greatly enhance the guest experience. Thank you for your hospitality.

The rooms are quite small but very clean & the location is close to the city center ~20 min walk. The staff is very nice and speaks fluent english.

We ( humans and dogs) were made to feel very welcome. Rooms are spacious with lovely soft carpets. The location for exploring Buda is fantastic. Breakfast superb. Highly recommended and we will be back.

I had a wonderful experience staying at the Danubius Hotel Hungaria City Center. The location was perfect — close to the city center and very convenient for public transportation. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were always friendly, helpful, and professional. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely stay again on my next visit to Budapest!

The hotel is situated near many public transport stops. However it is not right by the main road, and walking in dark area at night can be intimidating. My room is located at the very end of the hotel corridor. I saw rows of more modern doors and ”on all the time” corridor lights on the way to my corridor. But once I turned to mine, it was turned on only when there was a movement. It made me feel uncomfortable. There are many wall outlets in my room, which was convienent. The bed was slightly not firmed, maybe it has seen its better days. Thank you for having me for 2 nights anyway. Oh, the staff was all nice and welcoming.

I saw the hotel when I got off the bus. It was about a 4-minute walk to the hotel. It only takes 20 minutes to get to the city center by tram 1 or subway M3. The transportation is very convenient. Take tram 1 for 2 stops to Mester utca / Könyves Kálmán körút station ID: F01509, where there is a shopping mall with 2 large supermarkets and a food court. The hotel's continental breakfast buffet has a wide variety of delicious and good quality, and is a 4-star breakfast level; the hotel room is about 88% new, with 2 single beds. Although the room is not big, it can accommodate 2 24-inch suitcases; there are small tables, seats, TVs, hangers and small safes, but there are no electric kettles and small refrigerators, which is inconvenient. In addition, there are enough power sockets, the bed sheets are white, clean and comfortable, the central air conditioner is cold and quiet, and the WIFI speed is fast. The toilet and bathroom are separated into dry and wet areas, with a bathtub , the tap water is clear, the toilet is clean and drains quickly, and the hot water in the shower is OK. This hotel is cost-effective and I will consider it again when I come to Budapest.

I recently stayed at this hotel and truly an outstanding experience from start to finish, The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful We stayed there during my husband birthday and when we returned to our room ,we found a beautifully chilled bottle of champagne waiting for us!!! along with a personalized birthday card from the General Manager. It was such a heartwarming gesture that made the celebration extra special. The hotel attention to detail and committed to guest satisfaction are truly impressive!!!! We will definitely be returning. Carlton Hotel Buda Castle - A Location Lover's Dream! My recent stay at the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle in Budapest was largely defined by its absolutely awesome location. For anyone looking to immerse themselves in the historical heart of the city, this hotel is a fantastic choice. Being just minutes away from both the majestic Buda Castle and the picturesque Fisherman’s Bastion was a huge plus. I particularly appreciated the convenience for early risers – those who wish to view the stunning sunrise and enjoy the area before the crowds arrive (potentially with free entrance before official opening hours) will find this hotel incredibly convenient, as it's just a short stroll away. Furthermore, the hotel's location also allows for a pleasant walk to the viewing area across the river from the Parliament building. Seeing the illuminated Parliament at night from the opposite bank was a memorable experience, and it was easily accessible on foot from the hotel. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, providing a welcome retreat after a day of exploring. The bed was comfortable, and the room had everything I needed for a pleasant stay. However, there was one notable downside: the soundproofing could be improved. I occasionally heard noise from neighboring rooms and the hallway, which sometimes disrupted the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Overall: Despite the minor issue with soundproofing, I would still highly recommend the Carlton Hotel Buda Castle, especially for travelers who prioritize location above all else. Its proximity to key attractions like Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion, along with the easy access to sunrise views and the Parliament panorama, makes it a truly convenient base for exploring the best of Buda. If you're a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea, but the unbeatable location truly makes this hotel a strong contender for your Budapest stay.

I had requested for a quiet room away from the door I was given the ground floor door by the main entrance which made me extremely paranoid and since I was travelling solo it was a bit sketchy and I always had to be attentive couldn’t really enjoy the room
