Hotel Romantic di Lazio, Italy

Excellent, central location. The staff were warm, professional, and highly service-oriented. They even surprised me with balloons in the bedroom for my birthday, which was a lovely touch. Both the lobby and the room were very clean. However, the hotel frequently ran out of hot water, and for about two days I had to take cold showers.

We were very pleased with the hotel and stayed there at both the beginning and end of our trip to Italy. We rented a car at the airport and parked it right in front of the hotel's door in a private courtyard. That was very convenient. I believe they charged us about 35 Euros each night for that perk. The hotel was luxurious, and the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. They had someone carry our bags to and from our room during check-in and check-out. Everything in the large room worked; it was clean, and there was a safe to store your valuables. As Americans, a few reminders or unexpected things to note. You'll need a power adapter (easily purchased on Amazon) and, unless you bring a voltage converter, make sure any appliances (CPAP, travel steamer/iron, etc) are compatible with both 110V and 220/230V. We didn't find washcloths in any of the hotels in Italy, so we just used hand towels in the shower. The shower at this hotel (both rooms) was a bath/shower combination. There was no shower curtain or door, only a small partition near the removable shower head to keep the water from splashing everywhere, which it basically did. While it is a beautiful historic building, there are a couple of elevators at this hotel, so you don't need to lug your stuff up a bunch of stairs. The room key is enormous and they only give you one. We kept ours in the car whenever we left the hotel so we wouldn't carry it around. Even though we had a car, we found it more convenient to leave it at the hotel and take an Uber to Vatican City rather than walk more than a mile each way, which we also did twice. The area surrounding the hotel was historic and lots of fun. Plenty of places to shop and eat. The breakfast buffet at the hotel each morning was also superb. Plenty of hot and cold items to fill you up before trekking out. That's about it. Don't forget to check out the view from the rooftop at the hotel. Have a great time in Rome!

Lovely hotel, polite staff and clean rooms. If you don’t mind walking it’s great, as you’ll have to do quite a bit! Around 15-20 minute walk from Termini station. Around 15 minute walk to the nearest Metro station. The Colosseum is around a 20-25 minute walk, and most other sights further than this. Going somewhere like Rome, walking is always expected though! A short walk from the hotel you can find some really delicious breakfast spots/restaurants that you’ll mainly find locals within. Both super great prices and fresh beautiful food too! Only negative we had is that the bed was super super hard! (If you like a hard mattress then it’s perfect for you!) For us unfortunately it felt like sleeping on a wooden block. We did ask about changing rooms but was advised they think all beds are the same so we stayed put. (Of course this is just personal preference, but definitely had an effect on comfort and our sleep). The pillows were really thin, but we did ask for extra at reception which was kindly brought to our room.

Great location close to everything. You also have ides de march right in front of you where caesar was assassinated. Only thing I’d say is don’t book the room with a hot tub because that’s also where your shower is and you’ll be showering in front of your partner which may be awkward as it’s a small room

We picked this hotel because of the amazing reviews and we were not disappointed. Every single member of staff has the utmost professionalism and warmth. It’s excellently sited for all the major attractions, excellent food and chopping oppportunities close by. This hotel is truly beautiful. I’ve never been in such a clean sparkling hotel. Special mention to Ivan who welcomed us and the beautiful lady who cleaned our rooms. You are a credit to your company. The breakfast was absolutely superb staff here are incredible

Perfectly located near the train station and business district, yet far enough to avoid any station noise. The room was spacious, spotless, and well-equipped with all necessary amenities. There is some typical street traffic noise, but it’s quite manageable and doesn’t affect comfort. Breakfast was abundant and delicious. Highly recommended!

I booked several hotel rooms online for my last trip to Europe, and this was the only one that didn't disappoint. It's conveniently located near Rome's center (approximately 20 miles away), especially if you rent a car and drive. Most importantly, it allowed me to experience the Tuscany lifestyle in a short period, fulfilling one of my expectations for this trip. The traditional room settings, excellent service, charming environment, and friendly people added to the overall delightful experience.

The good: hotel is in a good location and rooms are spacious especially since we are in Rome, where that can be challenging. The bad: the hotel is fragmented, meaning there is no center and you have to enter by key into separate buildings with no elevators. That can be both challenging and inconvenient. The ugly: they have a huge ant infestation problem, like epic levels. Yes, the cleaned it up but it took two days and I think the problem is still there. They offered to move us after the first notification, but that required loading up our clothes and luggage and walking up another flight of stairs. I know big and old cities struggle to maintain properties, but pest control should be at the top of the list and also more notice about the hotel being 3 separate buildings away from the reception area.

Fantastic hotel. Hard to see why this isn't 5 star. Everything was excellent. About 15 minutes outside the city but transfer / shuttle bus / taxis are all organized by the hotel
