We asked about dining options nearby and she was enthusiastic and helpful, gave many recommendations to help us. The amenities were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed using the facilities.

I used to stay in Crowne Plaza Jiangmen last year and it was very good.
Unfortunately last week was very disappointed. I was very surprised by the quality of the food. No more buffet dinner with western or Chinese food. Just a small hot pot. For the breakfast no western food accommodations. I had the feeling to stay in a local low standard hotel.
On the top of that the air conditioning was interrupted in the middle of the night. And I realized in the early morning about 5am that they stop the air conditioning in all the hotel!? While it is now the summer time in south China.

We had a wonderful stay at Sofitel Foshan Shunde. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, with elegant interiors and a very comfortable room that made it easy to relax after a long day out.
What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional service. A special mention to Asad from the customer experience team. He went above and beyond to assist us. We had spent more time than expected shopping at Louvre Mall, and Asad kindly helped arrange a late check-out until 2pm, which made a huge difference to our overall experience.
Overall, it was a seamless and enjoyable stay. I would definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Foshan.

We had a lovely stay at The White Swan Hotel. It is an easy walk from Cultural Park Subway Station and also convenient by DiDi. The lobby is amazing and the room very nice. It is a historic hotel but is also clean and well renovated. The location is very nice, next to the river and surrounded by the historical old architecture of Shamian Island. We had dim sum at Jade River (3/F) which was a lovely experience. Overall it was a great stay.

The hotel was clean and the service was very pleasant. The facilities were good with some minor repairs required as the bath stopper needs to be pulled out. It would be great if there was soap in the bathroom by the swimming pool. The dinner was perfect with great variety and the breakfast good as well. The children's play areas in the restaurant and the clubhouse are really fantastic.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Foshan Marriott Hotel. The room was spacious, beautifully designed, and spotless. The highlight was definitely the balcony — it offered a stunning view, perfect for enjoying a quiet morning coffee or watching the sunset in the evening.
The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the attention to detail in the room made it feel luxurious yet cozy. Everything from the lighting to the bathroom amenities was top-notch.
The service throughout my stay was excellent as well. The staff were warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. I truly appreciated how they made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived.

Ccircle920As the best hotel in Shenzhen, it truly lives up to expectations. Although it opened several years ago, it's incredibly well-maintained. The bedding and bath products are very thoughtfully chosen, and the welcome tea and snacks were a nice touch. The afternoon tea selection might not be huge, but it's very refined and tastes excellent. I particularly want to mention breakfast – the eggs Benedict were perfectly made, and the braised beef noodles were incredibly authentic. The fresh coconuts also met the high standards you'd expect from a luxury hotel.
However, there was a small hiccup during check-in. When we arrived at our room, we found the door wide open and a man sitting on the sofa! Luckily, a staff member was passing by in the hallway. After hearing what happened, they escorted us to the lobby to clarify the situation. Leo, the lobby manager, sincerely apologized for the hotel's error, and the solution he offered was acceptable. For someone who has stayed in many ultra-luxury hotels worldwide, it's quite unacceptable for a Mandarin Oriental to make such a basic mistake. This was truly a first for me, and I hope the hotel takes this seriously!

Complaint 1: The parking lot is shared with K11, and it's very narrow and messy. It took me ages to find the hotel entrance, and there was no one to guide me, not even at the hotel entrance.
Complaint 2: The hotel corridors are a bit creepy, winding and dimly lit.
Complaint 3: At 11 PM, just as I was about to fall asleep, I was startled awake by the sound of a door closing next door. At 2 AM, I was woken up by noise in the hallway. At 4 AM, I was startled awake by some rustling sound outside my door... In short, the soundproofing is terrible.
Complaint 4: The pillows were as soft as clouds, offering no support whatsoever. I had to pile four of them up to use.

From service to ambiance, dining to cleanliness, the Ritz-Carlton perfectly showcased the quality expected of a top luxury hotel. The day before check-in, a staff member contacted me to inquire about my preferences and schedule. The next day, I had a smooth check-in, and they thoughtfully prepared toiletries for my child. I had seen some reviews saying the hotel wasn't very welcoming to children, but that's absolutely not true! From the doorman to the lobby staff and every other team member I encountered, everyone was incredibly warm, sincere, and polite. Traveling with my two children, I felt truly touched by their kindness. The room was clean, bright, and airy, with not a speck of dust in any corner. The bedding was comfortable, and they even offered a variety of pillows to choose from, which was a huge plus for a picky sleeper like me. The breakfast was rich and exquisite – and I say that based on comparisons with other hotels in the same price range. The outdoor pool also deserves a special mention; the night view, in particular, was stunning, far more impressive in person than in pictures. This time, I was short on time and couldn't experience the spa, but I did try the indoor hot spring and steam room, which were incredibly relaxing and washed away the fatigue of a long day. To sum up the Ritz-Carlton in one sentence: it's a hotel you won't want to leave, and one you'll definitely return to.

We had the breakfast buffet and it had a good, high quality selection of Chinese and Western food. Note that because it is a bit far from the city area, the food selection nearby is limited and a 15-20 minutes DIDI ride is thus required. The beach is small and not in the best condition so I wouldn't consider the beach a highlight.

Whether we wanted authentic Cantonese dim sum, sizzling hot pot, or just a relaxing rooftop drink after the kids went to sleep, everything was within a two-minute walk. The area has a fantastic, safe energy day and night—great for families but also exciting for parents looking for a little nightlife nearby.

The property itself is brand new, and it shows. The lobby is sleek and modern, the rooms are spotless, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered us a jaw-dropping panorama of the Guangzhou skyline. Waking up to that view every morning felt like a dream. Everything felt fresh, well-designed, and thoughtfully laid out—even with five of us sharing space, we never felt cramped.

There’s a really cool, upbeat atmosphere both inside the hotel and in the surrounding neighborhood. It manages to be chic without being pretentious, and family-friendly without feeling chaotic. The area is walkable, lively, and full of character—exactly what you want when exploring Guangzhou.
Above-and-Beyond Service – Thank You, LiLi!
What truly set our stay apart was the incredible service, especially from a staff member named LiLi. On our very first day, exhausted from travel, our youngest daughter urgently needed the toilet while we were still checking in. LiLi noticed our stress immediately, gently took our daughter by the hand, and personally escorted her to the restroom and waited to bring her back. That small act of kindness lifted a huge weight off our shoulders and set the tone for the entire trip.
But LiLi didn’t stop there. She also took the time to help us set up ******* on our phones—something that can be tricky for international travelers. She patiently walked us through the app, helped translate key menus, and showed us how to order groceries and meals right to the hotel. Thanks to her, we were able to easily feed our family of five with local favorites delivered straight to our door. LiLi is a true asset to the Elegant Hotel, and I hope management knows how much her warmth and efficiency meant to us. We were able to get Michelin star wonton noodles. Yuuuum

Traveling with three kids is never easy, but this hotel made it seamless. The rooms were spacious enough for all of us, the staff were endlessly patient with our children, and having so many dining options downstairs meant we never had to drag tired kids far for a meal. The modern amenities, coupled with the lively yet safe surroundings, made it an ideal base for our family.

1. Parking was hard to find. The only instruction was to use navigation, but it took me ages to navigate. Maybe I'm just not good at it.
2. The bathroom had a strong urine smell as soon as I checked in.
3. The pillows, while some were firm, were either too hard or too soft, making it uncomfortable for both adults and children. (For such an expensive room, why not provide better pillows, like those from Atour Planet?)
4. Breakfast at the Princess Hotel next door was terrible. (Limited variety, hard fried eggs, and overly salty tea eggs. Even though the wontons were freshly cooked, they were still lukewarm.)
Advantages:
1. The room facilities and the drinks and snacks in the refrigerator were good. They even provided snacks for the kids (chocolate beans, fries, coconut water, dried apples).
2. The room had tea and a teapot, which were delicious. 👍
3. The room had a record player; if you weren't satisfied with the music, you could exchange it downstairs.
4. The room had a Dyson hairdryer, high-end toothpaste, and a good coffee machine.
