We had a great stay at Pipa Inn. It is centrally located in Datong Ancient City but in a quiet street with no traffic. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is home cooked with a variety of options, a few western. Tip: The noodle restaurant around the corner is very good but also extremely crowded. The hotel offered that we could eat in their breakfast area, so we could skip the line and order takeaway. Much recommended. All in all, we warmly recommend Pipa for your stay in Datong.

必須要贊一個👍。酒店管家提前一天電話聯繫確認行程，住宿偏好等訊息，安排微信管家服務羣提供全程服務。酒店位置非常好，就在古城裡城牆邊上，在酒店就可以看到城牆以及正在舉行的燈展，非常棒！酒店房間佈置讓人感覺很放鬆，很舒服。早餐品種貴精不貴多。酒店服務從前台、餐廳、衞生的服務都非常好。本次入住時免費給升級了房型，非常貼心。晚上還有送到房間水果和甜品，MINI吧的飲品小食品種也很豐富，性價比很高👍。

This hotel is amazing! Always so happy to come back to this beautiful space at the end of the day. Datong ancient town is not big and is easy to get around from Onetwo Hotel. Front desk is always so helpful to offer us assistance and check in with us on our needs. Not forgetting, their breakfast is an absolute winner! (If i have to nitpick, i would have preferred if we had fresh towel instead of one-use towels.) Nonetheless, would recommend this place to anyone coming to Datong. 👍👍👍

Unfortunately, the overall stay was not great. When we booked the hotel, we specifically requested a non-smoking room, which is essential for us because of health issues. After double confirming with the hotel that they have non-smoking rooms (based on the website, all rooms are non smoking), we paid for our booking. However, shortly after, they informed us that smoking in hotel rooms is common and unavoidable in Taiyuan. We felt deceived into making the payment and realized we were stuck with this accommodation for our 7-day stay. Upon checking in, we had to request a room change due to a strong smoke smell in the original room. The second room was better and the hotel staff was nice enough to provide an air purifier. Throughout our entire stay, people were smoking in the elevator, lobby, and even at the dinner table. If we had known this beforehand, we would have reconsidered staying here. For a 5-star hotel, it did not meet our expectations, and unfortunately, we paid far too much for this experience. The only highlight of our stay was the hotel staff. They were always friendly, helpful, and did their very best to serve the guests, which made our trip a bit more enjoyable. We thank them for their excellent service.

I booked two rooms for 4, and we were given rooms beside each other. We arrived late at night around 9.30pm and check in went smoothly. Rooms were very comfortable and were equipped with SMART tech with voice activation! We were also able to check out a little later upon request since our train left later in the afternoon. I also had packages delivered to the reception and had no issues. Location was great and easy to explore the ancient city and also to see the main wall itself. One thing to note is that there isn't a formal drop off point but you can definitely get dropped off and picked up along the side of the road. The room layout was slightly different than the images on Trip.com (I booked a Double bedroom with courtyard view with a stay voucher), but the room was good too although I would have preferred the toilet configuration in the photos. Overall, a great place to stay and I'd definitely stay here again if I get to come back to Datong. They also have a bakery at the lobby and it gets sold out pretty quickly!

【摘要】：這個酒店優缺點鮮明，就像山西整體給我的旅遊印象一樣。總體瑕不掩瑜，已推薦親友。 【設施衞生】：設施完備，運營狀態良好 【服務】：服務態度極佳，管家在入住前好幾天就開始微信聯繫，本來我還覺得挺煩，後來發現管家真的把微信當傳呼機一樣使用，提供隨叫隨到的服務。BUT，有個不太應該犯的問題，連續入住兩天，第二天房卡和車牌登記都失效了，還好管家一路小跑過來送卡。 【環境】：景色是前人述備的優點，日出日落都非常美，孩子玩得很開心，【寵物友好】很點贊。（提醒帶寵朋友，春節期間酒店內外都有放炮，可以帶上安撫衣，我們忘帶了，衹能臨時捆安定帶）酒店西側的友商外觀稍微礙眼，不過不影響日出。目測本地人也來酒店看日落，外部車輛不會影響酒店，管理得當點贊。 【歡迎水果】：歡迎零食和水果量如圖。早餐自助品類豐富，兩天早餐有區別，不會吃膩。酒店的晚飯有點尷尬，定的2-3人份的餐量很大，適合4-6人，個人不推薦大白魚，且菜色黑色和餐盤黑色的顏色使用稍多，配合冷色調的餐桌燈更奇怪了。 【伴手禮和洗車】：checkout時提供了伴手禮，很有心，馬年送了漂亮的小馬玩偶，和一些山西特產小零嘴，很合適。還有很神奇的一點：早上起來發現酒店在幫忙沖洗車輛前擋風玻璃，因為酒店後是大土山，加上這幾天揚沙天氣，酒店找師傅挨個沖土，點贊。

We booked at Fengqi jiuting hotel on a family trip to Taiyuan and it exceeded all our expectations. The location is super convenient, on the edge of the bustling Zhong Lou Jie area, with so many food and dining options accessible on foot. The rooms are spacious, with heated floors (a godsend in winter), and nice amenities. It’s a beautiful hotel decked out with contemporary art and was a pleasure to stay at. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made our trip that much easier. Would definitely recommend.

大同老牌高檔酒店了，能看到房間裝修在以前算非常豪華了，傢俱都是實木的，房間和洗手間都打掃乾乾淨淨的，晚上還有開夜床服務，送了脆脆鯊；酒店裡麪每一位工作人員態度都很好，大門口的迎賓員小哥，二樓餐廳別著實習生牌牌的小妹妹，都笑呵呵的。餐廳核桃派也是真的好吃，是本地人會去的飯店，還有早餐，挺豐富的，早餐的羊雜粉好吃，羊雜給超多！還有咖啡也好喝，有服務員現磨還能拉花，唯一一個小問題就是咖啡點單和拿取太混亂了，點完要等 本來服務員説給送，催了兩次都説馬上好，但是有其他客人到那就拿剛做好的，而不是按順序來，最後也還是自取的，這樣還不如一開始就告訴自取，這個可以優化下 排個號哈哈。其他都非常滿意！酒店地理位置也超好，古城裡每個景點距離都很近，走路幾分鐘 十幾分鍾可以到達的，尤其距離華嚴寺和其他幾個網紅餐廳。來大同玩很推薦了。

The location was excellent. Walking distance to Mixc shopping centre. Great view of the Shanxi museum and surrounding architectural splendours. I even saw fireworks from our room. Special mention to David Wang for his excellent service.

The staff were very helpful and me us at the train station. The hotel is very nice in keeping with the historic surroundings. The rooms are big, warm and very clean with excellent shower and bath tub. Very easy to get to the Main Street but on a nice quite alleyway. Staff were very good at arranging drivers inside and for outside the city wall trip to temples. Both Chinese and Western breakfast options were very tasty. Overall an excellent hotel and service.
