"It's a sort of antique hotel. However, it's worn down and lacks the magical atmosphere it should have. The rooms are small and inadequate (for the price paid). Breakfast options are limited. The waiters are helpful. Being right next to the old city is an advantage. And nice garden ."

Zuerst mal zum Zimmer. ein stark abgenutztes Parkett, im Badezimmer war die Duschhalterung locker. Am nächsten Morgen um 7:15 Uhr klopft es an der Zimmertür, nachdem ich geöffnet habe kam die Frage wann wir gedenken auszuchecken. Wir haben doch bis 12:00 Uhr zeit dafür. Sind sie nicht vom Kegelverein? war die nächste Frage. Nein sind wir nicht! Tür zu ohne Entschuldigung. Um 8:35 Uhr , wir waren gerade am Anziehen, schließt eine männliche Person von außen ohne Vorwarnung einfach die Tür auf. Meine Frau saß mit freien Oberkörper auf dem Bett. Tür wieder zu ohne eine Entschuldigung. Also nicht noch einmal. Zu Hause stellten wir fest das wir ein kleines Kissen vergessen hatten. Auf Nachfrage wollte man es uns nachsenden zum Preis von 20,00€ . Ich hab dann lieber eine Person aus meiner Verwandtschaft gebeten das Kissen zu holen und mir zu senden

The perfect location in central Wernigerode for your stay. An easy walk to the castle, the steam Brockenbahn and the main railway station from here, as well as all the local cafes and restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful, although little to no English is spoken here, so brush up on your German before travelling. Breakfast is plentiful and first class, the rooms are comfortable with nice bathrooms and there is a fridge in each room. WiFi is excellent. I'll be staying here again on my next trip to Wernigerode.

It was warm, cosy room. They put a bed story next to your bed. That was cute. The story relates to the name of the hotel. Wonderful!!!
It is next to the central city Christmas market!!! You can feel the Christmas in the air!!! It is 15 minutes from station, easy to find. Delicious breakfast. Everyone was so friendly!

Stayed four nights October, Hannes who worked in bar was by far the best member of staff so a big thank you to him for his fantastic service and advise he made our trip so much easier, as for hotel, bathrooms could do with a refurb and beds no so comfortable, food was excellent.

中德家庭The hotel's location is excellent: you can see it right from the train platform. This also means you might see the platforms from your room, and if the window is open, you'll hear announcements and other noises. However, the windows are so well-insulated that you don't hear any station noise when they're closed. On the other hand, the sound insulation to the hallway and neighboring rooms isn't as good, and since there's no ventilation in the bathroom, there's a slightly unpleasant odor. If you're an H-Rewards member, you get a public transport ticket for the duration of your stay. The breakfast buffet is very varied and includes hot items like scrambled eggs, sausages, baked beans, etc. Overall, highly recommended!

RossbachJExceptional location in a small historic city, one of the oldest land property of Germany, taken by the old owner after the turn and restored lovely and authentic. Wonderfully equipped rooms and public rooms, meeting rooms, festive halls, seats, terraces. view of maintained castle or park.
Very good restaurant with excellent kitchen, brewing house for a evening drink, breakfast buffet with huge selection, everything fresh and very tasteful.
Very nice owner and great friendly service. A real choice for holidays, weekends, business trips, meetings and meetings, events such as weddings or birthdays.
Very recommended!
