Lovely and affordable hotel ! Very good size rooms and excellent bed mat-trace! There is a metro station 🚉directly from the Kyoto train 🚊 station to the hotel ! Internet wasn’t great ! Breakfast was decent.

Large hotel located in a very convenient location close to train stations and shopping centres. There are two breakfast options in which you can choose to eat at a diversified buffet or a set menu in an observation deck on the 14th floor. The hotel itself is a bit old but renovated inside. Overall, it's very luxurious for the price but the bedding were not too comfortable. Free shuttle departs every 20 minutes between Kyoto station and the hotel. Super convenient for shopping at the station or transferring large luggages. Water and ice filler locations are available on each floor. The gym cost extra to use. Luggage delivery is possible within the hotel as well (cash only).

The staff were friendly and helpful. Clean and good facilities as well. There were free beverages at the lobby. Location wise not the most convenient to some of the attractions as i had to walk an average of 10 to 15min to get to the train station.

Mama & Papa are the kindest hosts ever! They made the trip in Japan so much worthwhile! It is one of the best hostels I've stayed in mostly because of Mama & Papa! They really make you feel at home, and you get to experience the whole Japanese culture :)). Lovely! Definitely recommend and will for sure stay with them again when I'm in Kyoto! Located at the prime area of Kyoto where the restaurants and bars are at. Rows of full bloom Sakuras along the canal just outside the premises. Shopping and Lawson / 7-Eleven are stone-throw away. A great location for couple. And yes, I got proposed here! (Explains the wedding band photo)

The room size was amazing and easily fit three large suitcases. The location is good, conveniently close to both Gojo and Shijo stations, with convenience stores and coffee shops nearby. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful
