Hotel Dengan Bar di Nagano Prefecture, Japan

This is a perfect spot in Nagano if you want to take a break before heading to other parts such as Hakuba for skiing . It is literally right at the station and connected via MIDORI where you can buy groceries and with lots of restaurants. Due to fight delay, we arrived late at night at around 10pm. MIDORI shops were all closed but ht path to hotel still open and we can still find plenty of cafes nearby. It has reserved Alpico bus to Hakuba right at hotel or you may go to the regular bus stop at bus station 26 for higher frequency of bus service. Will definitely stay here again if we need to stop over at Nagano. Though the hotel is not new, it’s spacious and clean enough for a comfortable stay .

The hotel is nice, from the station about 10 minutes walk almost in a straight line, wake up. The room was originally wrong, it was reserved for smokers, even though we don't smoke, the room was given the appropriate one, the smell in it was just not very good, like for those who don't smoke at all, it started already on the floor.But the staff, fortunately, were able to find us a replacement for a non-smoking room, yes, less, yes one big bed instead of two, but with stunning mountain views and a coffee machine. One of the best hotel I have stayed in Japan recently. The hotel is new and everything is sparkling clean. Rooms are big and comes with luxury perks usually found in 5 stars hotel like L'Occitane toiletries, 60 inch LED TV, manicure sets (free), ice cubes in pre-packed, etc and not to mention the 2 private onsen (need to reserve online). For the price point, this is a steal. It is walking distance to main shopping street though most shops are closed by 5=6pm. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again.

Clean with very good facilities, particularly the washing and drying machine which caters for our laundry needs. Breakfast is tasty with various kinds of food. Really appreciate the shuttle bus service to nearby JR station upon check out. Staff is helpful. Excellent hotel during my stay in Japan. Highly recommended.

軽井沢ははじめてですが、何も知らずにこのホテルを予約したんですけど、思ったより高級感があり、1年ぐらい前に計画した家族の海外旅行だから、価格もそれほど高くはないでした。 それに、ホテルのデザイン感もそうだし、朝ごはんも予想以上のクォリティーだったので、ま夏に軽井沢に遊びにきましたらまた泊まりたいです！

房間清潔良好，房務部員工會在房客去晚間用膳時段送壼水入房間。 兩天懷石料理晚膳都不様，很有期待同新鮮感。歺廳員工非常有善，研習生英語很好又主動。非常欣賞歺廳員工服務，值得表揚！ 酒店大堂設計傳統優美，處處設有鮮花擺設，簡直如藝術品。 房間設計頗為陳舊，但保養尚算不錯。

This second time in this hospitable hotel. While a short distance away from the Karuizawa station, it is quite well located to nearby old town and buses to a number of places of interests. The hotel seems like a boutique hotel. Its decoration has not changed since 2023. The dinning room is redecorated with more seats. It is more like a cozy lounge. At the reception area, one can find an assortment of tea bags with some special infusions. Of course coffee is there as well.

The room was incredibly spacious, offering exceptional value for the price. The hotel maintains a peaceful and quiet atmosphere, which I truly appreciated. While the furniture and carpets show some slight signs of age, the overall comfort remains high. I was impressed by their Zero Waste policy; instead of plastic bottles in the room, they provide glassware and a convenient water dispenser located right by the elevator. Please note that for a two-night stay, there is no housekeeping service, which aligns with their eco-friendly initiative. The amenities were comprehensive, and the service was outstanding—truly upholding the high standards of the Mercure brand. Parking is plentiful and hassle-free. Lastly, the view is a hidden gem; on a clear day, you get an unobstructed, breathtaking panorama of the mountain range without any buildings blocking the sight. I highly recommend it for a relaxing getaway!

Really beautiful resort, love the free rental Onsen it’s really nice, if you don’t need room cleaning service you can get 2000yen coupon for souvenir shop. It’s close to the outlet only 10mins driving distance. There is a 7 eleven close to the hotel but need to be aware that the convenience store will be closed at 2300.
