Excellent Stay in the Heart of Kunming I stayed at Atour Hotel Kunming (Nanping Pedestrian Street Old Street) for one night on 1 June 2025, and it was easily one of the best hotel stays I’ve had in Kunming. The hotel appears to have been recently renovated, giving it a fresh, modern, and stylish feel throughout. We booked a Superior Queen Room, which was exceptionally spacious and thoughtfully designed. The room was well-equipped with all the amenities you would need for a comfortable stay. The standout feature was undoubtedly the bedding. The mattress and pillows were incredibly comfortable and supportive—we slept so well that we nearly missed breakfast the next morning. The bathroom amenities were excellent, and the heated toilet seat was a particularly nice touch, especially considering how uncomfortable cold toilet seats can be. The only thing missing was a bidet, which would have made the experience a perfect 5/5. Another feature I appreciated was the hotel’s robot delivery service. Food deliveries are received at the lobby and then sent directly to your room by robot, which was both convenient and fun. The lobby and breakfast restaurant are located on Level 7, which also houses a well-equipped gym and complimentary self-service laundry facilities—great additions for both short and extended stays. Location-wise, the hotel is hard to beat. Situated right in the heart of Kunming’s city centre, surrounded by local streets, markets, shopping malls, and plenty of dining options, making it an excellent base for exploring the city. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its comfort, facilities, service, and unbeatable location. I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to Kunming.

Convenient option if you’re arriving late or catching an early flight, as the hotel is very close to Kunming Airport and saves you the trip into the city. The airport pick-up and drop-off service is smooth and reliable, which makes arrival and departure hassle-free. Check-in was easy, and the staff were welcoming. A small but thoughtful touch was the complimentary flower cake on arrival, which added a nice local feel to the stay. Overall, a practical and comfortable choice for a short airport stopover.

Hi! I really enjoyed my stay here. 粥粥 was incredibly kind, helpful, and responsive throughout everything. From helping with luggage to checking in on my stay, her service made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. The small details, like the welcome fruit basket, were also such a thoughtful touch. 😊 Thank you again, 粥粥, for the excellent hospitality. Highly recommended, and definitely a 5-star service! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The check-in and check-out processes were painfully slow and disorganized. Only one available staff, people jumping the line, nobody putting these people in order. We had to start arguing with other guests to have them respect the line. Very unpleasant and unacceptable for a hotel of this category.

Kali pertama datang ke tanah tinggi, saya agak risau, tetapi setelah daftar masuk, saya sedar kerisauan saya tidak berasas! Bilik ini mempunyai bekalan oksigen berterusan 24 jam dan pemanas lantai, jadi saya berasa selesa dan tiada simptom mabuk ketinggian. Pengurus peribadi telah menghubungi saya lebih awal untuk bertanya tentang penerbangan, dan membantu mengangkat beg sebaik sahaja kami tiba. Apabila dia tahu kami agak letih, dia juga menghantar susu panas pada waktu malam. Semua permintaan kami diuruskan dengan cepat, yang membuatkan kami, sebagai 'orang baru di tanah tinggi', berasa sangat selamat.

The hotel is at a perfect location.. its close to good eateries, tea shops, leather shop and even jade stores.. The deluxe room has a Japanese feel to it! Gorgeous and comfortable..! Communication with hotel staff are also easy, they can speak fluent English and are very helpful. Overall a good stay! Definitely recommended!

和女朋友出門旅行，第一重要的是酒店，第二是美食。 來彌勒很多次，説實話彌勒的酒店目前都很在線，但是這次住的山居真的很驚喜。完全是國外五星級酒店的接待標準，無論是入住禮還是酒店內的配套設施，都能夠讓人在酒店度過非常幸福的一天。 大堂的設計充滿了中西元素的碰撞，空間很大，大堂內的手沖咖啡水準很在線！一樓的温泉有公共的泡池，也有私湯，關鍵是通風很好！一點都不悶！  自己開車來就停在酒店旁邊，出去玩也很方便。  我最驚喜的其實是酒店配備的身體乳，味道真的很好聞！衹用了半瓶，剩下的我還帶走了，準備去網上找找同款哈哈哈。  價格不便宜，但是絕對是物有所值，對得起價格的體驗在我看來才是真正的質價比！  房間我沒拍是因為到的太晚了，睡得亂七八糟，大家可以看看別人拍的。乾淨且高級！

It’s a really scenic hotel and this is the second visit . Really like the view of the breakfast place and highly recommend to book the mountain view room . Theres another sister hotel . There’s a free shuttle bus at 4pm to another sister hotel inside Yulong Snow mountain national park . But you need to pay extra 100 RMB as it’s inside the national park . We had hotpot lamb dinner and their mushroom rice with amazing Mountain View . Another different scenic view that’s worth to go . The room is really spacious and really peaceful quiet compared to the ancient city . Will visit for the third time again .

Suzanna of Grand Hyatt Kunming is a gem! She made our stay fantastic! We initially was going to stay in a different hotel when we return back to Kunming to experience other hotels , but we decided to return to Hyatt because of Suzanna ! Thank you for making our stay wonderful! Ps: The buffet dinner is also very awesome !
