Hotel Dengan Breakfast di Wakayama Prefecture, Japan

I liked the hotel. A good room, a comfortable bed, nice shower amenities. The personnel was very pleasant. I've tried all the exotic Japanese food at breakfast buffet. Great! The hotel is situated in one minute walk, not more, from the railway station. So, all 5's!

This is a very nice ryokan that you feel relax and clean. ● The hotel offers two types of yukata, and for one of them, you can choose your preferred pattern. ● The hotel provides complimentary limited-time plum juice, snacks, and ramen. ● The hotel offers two types of private onsen services for free. There isn't much difference between them, just the size and shape of the tubs. Each session is 40 minutes, and you can book multiple times on a first-come, first-served basis. ● Besides the private onsens, the hotel also has mixed-gender onsens (with provided bathing attire), a men's onsen, and a women's onsen. ● Kaiseiki meals normal only.

The location is not the most central, but it is right next to Wakayama Castle, which is a big plus. In the evening, it’s very pleasant to take a walk around the castle area — quiet, scenic, and relaxing. There are bus stops nearby, making it fairly convenient to get around, though buses do not run very frequently. It’s best to check the schedule on Google Maps in advance. On the ground floor, there is a 24-hour FamilyMart, which is very convenient. There is also a McDonald’s (closes at 8pm) and a few nearby restaurants, so food is not really a concern. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Check-out was quick and hassle-free. Overall, for the price I paid, this hotel exceeded my expectations. I would recommend it to travellers who don’t mind a quieter area and enjoy being close to Wakayama Castle.

The hotel is easy to find with a parking garage connecting to it. Check in was fast and hotel staff was helpful with good English. Parking is 800 yen for hotel guests for 24 hours. The room is nice and beddings are comfortable. Their sky spa is small but functional with an indoor, outdoor onsen and a steam sauna. It could get crowded if there are more than 2-3 people given so compact. The mall downstairs have a few restaurants, a supermarket, a bookstore and a public library which is convenient. The hotel does not provide much amenities which I was a bit disappointed. Overall still a good hotel with a modern stylish design which i recommend in non peak season with a good rate.

The location is pefect, only 2mins walking to a Shopping Complex, where you can buy cheaper food in the food street. Basically we are going thru the Shopping Complex from the hotel to train/ bus station, a lil bit confused in the first place, but get used to it after few attempts. We couldnt buy the ticket for the movies in the TV from the ticket machine, and the Netflix is not allowable in the room, so we end up watching the Japanese shows without subtitle. The complementary breakfast is average, its convenient for you, but do not expect it to be a very satisfying one.

Nice hotel, good services, every staff Nice to you, have free drinks all the time, not only coffee, room is big, views are good, free packages that's was very nice, food is good too, the insen was very nice. If come again wakahama Will come to choose again this hotel.

Tbh great location in terms of vicinity to the beach but the cleanliness was a bit disappointing. When we first arrived in our room, the table area was sandy, not dusty, but actually sandy. The tatami beds were already made, but the surrounding area was dusty. When I asked about it, the staff told me it was “normal for tatami.” If this had been my first time staying in a tatami room hotel, I might have believed that. The hair dryer had visible mold inside (as shown in photos).  If this is simply because the hotel is old, then I suppose that explains it..

Smile Hotel Wakayama is conveniently located right beside Wakayama Castle, making it a great choice for sightseeing and exploring the area. Overall, we had a good stay and a pleasant experience. Although the hotel’s renovation and interior are slightly outdated, the room was still clean and comfortable. Considering the price and the excellent location, it is more than acceptable and offers great value for money. What truly stood out was the excellent service from the front desk staff. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. We encountered a problem with our car during our stay, and the staff kindly assisted us by contacting the police and helping us handle the situation, which we really appreciated. Overall, it’s a great option if you’re looking for a budget-friendly hotel with a fantastic location and outstanding service.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Checking was fast and easy. They have a lovely Indoor & outdoor Onsen in their hotel. Probiotic Yacult drinks and a variety of ice cream are free to consume at different timing.  The complimentary Ramen from 9:30pm to 11pm is a real treat with bamboo shoot and a quarter of Japanese egg, the clear broth is not too salty but flavourful. The breakfast spread is good with both Japanese and western dishes. Definitely a good stay for this area. Highly recommended.
