Last time we were in a different hotel, so thought we’d try this new one, Hotel Praia. In a good location, walking distance to the bus station and a couple of blocks to the beach and the touristy restaurants and shops along the waterfront. Breakfast was included and generally, it was fine. Great Nespresso coffee machine! Eggs were sweet; maybe someone put sugar in them? Sausages and bacon were not to our liking, but we appreciated the pastries, cereal, fresh fruit and yogurts. Staff at front desk were pleasant and helpful, but anytime we needed something, there was only one person working, so always had to wait. Same happened at breakfast in that there was not enough staff for all the people trying to eat. But, everyone was working hard and were very nice. New, light and bright, big rooms. Safe not working, very spare with really no decoration and minimalist white furniture, no hooks in bathroom, no place to hang towels and stuff. Wi Fi works okay, terrible water pressure, how about putting in some hooks and shelving. Also, places to plug in devices were needed. We don’t watch tv in a hotel, but this was the smallest tv we’d ever seen; if it was 15 inches, I’d be surprised! The hotel room was unfortunately not clean when we checked in and never vacuumed during our stay. We walked in the room in white socks and they were filthy, and lots of stuff stuck to them!

Though I did not aim for playing golf in this hotel, but it is still worth staying if you plan to stay in Obidos and will drive. The hotel is about 15 min. drive to town centre and parking is easy in the town. Hotel offers free parking and there are quite a lot of park spaces around the area. Some rooms are further away from hotel lobby and restaurant but there are different parking areas around the hotel so that it will still be closed to your room. The room and bathroom are spacious and my room has a stunning view overlooking a large green area and ocean. Bed is comfortable and the room is clean with overall good condition. I had dinner at the bar and breakfast was included in the restaurant, food was ok and you could stay in the bar untill 11pm or 12am (did to remember) if you want to have a drink. You can use the swimming pool (indoor and outdoor) and sauna and you can borrow the robe, towel and locker from them which is convenient. They also have a gym room but I did not use it so I am not sure whether it is also free or not. I will highly recommend this hotel considering the price and everything.

This hotel is very good. The location is good, near the beach with the car and not so far from bigger cities like Leiria or Figueira da Foz. The breakfast was very good and the bar near the swimming pool was also good. I will probably go back there !

This was our first time staying at a Star Inn and we were a bit unsure but loved it! The hotel looks quite new and is directly across the beach with ample parking. It is a 2 storey building and all rooms have a nice balcony. The room was quiet large with a standard bathroom, safe, mini fridge and a coffee machine. One definitely needs a car to go around. Check in/out was efficient and most of the staff spoke English. There is an indoor pool, a bar and restaurant. We had dinner there and food was quite good. Continental Breakfast was included in our rate. It had a good variety of fruit, pastries, juice, breads and cheese. The restaurant was centrally located from sites and restaurants. The beach was nice. I will highly recommend this place.

Como todos los Ibis es una apuesta segura. Buena relación precio calidad, cómodo, limpio y en esta ocasión el parking bastante cómodo a la hora de aparcar. El sitio no es bonito, pero está cerca del Monasterio de Batalla que era nuestro destino. El check in fue muy, muy lento, debido a unas clientas que tenían algún problema con sus tarjetas. El personal amable.

Modern, spacious, very nice bar and restaurant with view of city and ocean. Located on hill above city but not within walking distance of town, so need rental car or taxi. Very quiet. Nice room. Food at onsite restaurant was good. Breakfast provided. Only stayed two nights, but was able to get laundry done and delivered before leaving in timely manner.

AVOID THIS HOTEL IF YOUR FROM THE UK. WORST HOTEL EVER. WOULD NOT EVEN GIVE IT 1 STAR. WAS FORCED TO LEAVE AFTER 2 NIGHT THIS HOTEL DO NOT LIKE THE ENGLISH. Staff do not speak English and make you feel like your from another planet. I am well traveled and book 10 nights at this hotel and was forced to move after 2 nights. Booked through Love Holidays and they were useless there was no help and their contact number abroad gets you through to people in India and they say they will help but hang up on you through the call and the hotel don’t care about your concerns. This Hotel is not a proper all inclusive the food is not labelled so you don’t know what you are eating so if you have allergies like us be aware. The food is not edible I have pictures and will add them if I can. Adult and Kids selection is none existent and they don’t even have chips the meat again is not labelled my daughter didn’t eat apart from bread rolls. Pictures are off breakfast first thing in the morning, would not even give to my pet and kids selection none existent and not labelled. Staff are not friendly and the hotel is full of rude locals with no manners they push and shove it’s worst than awful. There was not one English person there. Breakfast is 7.30am and the staff were not even set up at that time the receptionist had to open. Same goes for the spa opens at 8.00 again no one around. If you want a drink after breakfast there is no where to get one until 11.30am the bar is near the reception so a mission to get to if you go to the water park which is not part of the hotel. So kiosk there you have to pay extra for. Main restaurant for breakfast, lunch Dinner is a mission it’s in the main building and you can only get to it from a unsafe wooden stairs or a small lift. The place does not look like the pictures it’s run down. The hotel DOES NOT HAVE IT’S OWN OUTDOOR POOL, they are falsely advertising the only outdoor pool is the water park which is very small and as all the public are there it’s cramped with everyone on top of each other, the entertainment is part of the water park nothing to do with the hotel. I asked the hotel for towels and they would not let me have any for the outdoor sun beds and they said no as it’s not part of the hotel, I even offered a deposit and again I got a no. The in pool they advertised is not a proper pool it’s shallow spa. I got an email just before my holiday saying it can only accommodate 40 people at a time and you have to wear a swimming hat it’s mandatory and to top it you have to make an appointment and you are only allowed an hour in there. No games room. Gym is a joke. If you are going on holiday for the whether this IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU, i went in august it rained for most of the time, it’s windy and cold really depressing. England is warmer, it’s like this all the time. Rooms are basic no complementary toiletries. Would not even give this hotel a 1 star. Entertainment does not start till 9.30pm not suitable if

Our family of 5 adults stayed at Hotel Senshoras Rainhas for two nights over Christmas 2023. We had two rooms in the basement level. One of the double rooms was comfortable enough with an outdoor patio overlooking the wall. The other room was not. Same size as double with an extra bed for a triple. A bit crowded to move around the room. The doors leading to the outside patios were double french style with the tilting top. In the triple room, the additional single bed somewhat blocked full access to the doors. By moving the bed over, one of the doors was able to be opened slightly. The first night, we were not able to correctly close the door to lock. It appeared to have a problem with the top tilting hinge. We slept with the door unlocked. Reported the problem to the front desk. We were assured the problem would be addressed. The second night the door was closed and locked properly, however after we opened the door we incurred the same problem as the night before. Again slept with the door unlocked. Unfortunately, both days, in the triple room, the toilet tissue was not enough. On the second day, the front desk was asked to have housekeeping added more toilet tissue in the room. The request was accommodated, but not in enough supply. The second night we ran out of toilet tissue again. The toilet tissue rolls were very small. Parking was a problem with our luggage not near the hotel. Somewhat narrow cobblestone streets with inclines and depending which parking lot was used, a number of steps were involved to reach the hotel. The hotel offered no assistance with the luggage or reasonable alternative to unload luggage. Since it was the holidays (Christmas Eve & Christmas Day) we made arrangements to have dinner at the hotel. What a waste of money. The first night the soup was at best room temperature. The lamb was dry with no sauce. The alternative fish was not much better. It was a fix menu. The next night the menu was the exact fix price menu from the night before. This time the soup was warm, the dry lamb was soaking in sauce and the fish was still dry. It looked like we were served leftovers from the night before. Do not recommend eating in the hotel restaurant. Very disappointing and not worth the cost. The hotel is a poor example of a 4 star hotel. It is within the walls of Obidos. Good location, but the hardship to unload luggage is not worth the effort. The rooms are small and attention to details is lacking. Simply not worth the cost or the effort to stay at this hotel. The restaurant was very disappointing and not worth the cost. There was no live music as noted on their website. We were offered a limited fix price menu as the only option. We booked hotel and spa for a weekend for 2. The positive points: The suite was nice with a good view, the lady managing the spa was friendly and helpful. The negatives: housekeeping below standard, guests expected to fetch bath robes and towels at the reception at the other end of the hotel, although the women working there were mainly chatting with eachother. Access to the spa via a public road. Mold everywhere in the spa. After turn down of the room we had to crawl under the bed to retrieve the plastic sandals for the spa that were carelessly pushed below. Breakfast was about OK (eggs from powder) if someone would care to refill empty containers…. All that shows a profound lack of management. We might enjoy the chocolat treatment in the spa again, but certainly without the hotel.

Estuvimos en el puente del Pilar. Las recepcionistas muy amables nos informaron de carreteras para desplazarnos . Habitación muy amplia, súper limpia, cambian toallas a diario y dispone de secador de pelo.,Desayuno completo. Vistas inmejorables . Muy céntrico. Una terraza muy grande . El parking está muy cerca del hotel aunque hay que subir una cuesta .

Hotel Magic is located in the old town, on a busy street close to Nazaré Beach. The hotel was built in 2012 and offers 31 rooms over 3 floors. Furnishings and decoration provide a clean atmosphere. Complimentary parking in the nearby hotel garage. Service is friendly & helpful. We had an adequate top-floor room with a spacious balcony, a good double-bed, with wardrobe & safe and TV, and a bathroom with washbasin, toilet & shower. All was clean. An OK buffet breakfast is served: scrambled & boiled eggs, cold cuts & cheeses, breads & toast, cereals & fruits, milk & yoghurts, juices & preserves, rolls & croissants, tea & coffee. The Magic Hotel is a comfortable, and we had a good stay. Recommended.

From the condition of the villas to the quality of hospitality offered by staff, this was a huge disappointment. The villas have not been maintained, as evident from many deteriorating aspects throughout. Best example are the bathrooms, where the tiles do not lay flat, and the grout is cracked and very dirty. Ditto for the caulking around the tub. There's a skylight which does not let much light in due tot he accumulation of dirt and debris. The villas were two stories, and our downstairs level, which included the kitchen and living area, was overrun with ants. Not my favorite early morning activity to collect and dispose of hordes of ants. Also, we did not know what was decaying off the patio, which is off the sliding door from the living area, but there was a large community of flies which prevented us from using the patio or even going outside through the sliding doors. I requested that the ”resort” address these issues but, in the 5 days we were there they did not do a thing. Also, there were steep stairs leading down to the entry door, and the railing was very loose and covered with some sticky substance. Again, I asked for this to be addressed so I didn't have to worry about falling the stairs, and it was never taken care of. We had dinner at the ”club” the first night and the food was terrible. Finally, we had made reservations five months in advance for TWO villas, as we were attending a family wedding in Obidos. When we arrived, the staff told us that no, we only had a reservation for ONE villa. They were quite insistent, until we showed them the email confirmation of the reservation. Even then, they were not apologetic. They found a second villa, but it was not convenient to the first, but they said that was all they could do. We also discovered that the wedding planner had come earlier with two welcome boxes, since she knew there were two parties staying a Bom Successo, but the hotel staff told her that only one party was staying there. However, they claimed, to us, that the wedding planner only brought the one welcome box. Did they not think we would talk to her and find out they were just lying? We were promised that the hotel would provide a remediation for us (we suggested a significant discount was in order) due to the abysmal treatment and the deficient accommodations but, despite repeated inquiries, nothing was ever addressed. All in all, the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

Given this hotel is ranked 4 out of 17 among Obidos hotels at the time of writing, I might have been forgiven for expecting a little more. What we got for our $130 was an astonishingly uncomfortable bed with tiny, squishy pillows, a shower with an improperly attached door (and a resulting wet mess all over the tiny bathroom’s floor), sewage smell from the same bathroom, an awkwardly located sink that requires even modestly-sized guests to maneuver rather intricately to perch on the adjacent porcelain throne so as not to impale themselves on its sharp corner, an air conditioning unit as old as the hotel itself and a huge wall containing a relatively tiny window behind a wooden door. Maybe it was just our luck and other double rooms are better, but something tells me this is all just part of the “charm”. The location just outside the city wall and free parking if you’re there early enough and the hotel isn’t totally full - there are only eight spots - are just about the only things earning this review an extra star.

Paguei mais um pouco por um upgrade, mas em nada compensou esse gasto. O quarto que nos foi atribuído, embora aparentemente razoável, tinha bastante pó nas mesas de cabeceira, não tinha tomadas elétricas suficientes, ou seja, tivemos que desligar candeeiros para poder carregar os telemóveis e uma das toalhas de banho estava rasgada. De referir que, normalmente num hotel de 4 estrelas, também oferecem um roupão e chinelos durante a estadia e não foi o caso. Para além disso, ficámos num quarto que ficava num piso equivalente a um 3° andar e não havia elevadores naquela ala do hotel. Fora as questões com o quarto e o acesso ao mesmo, tivemos de marcar uma hora para usufruir da piscina interior. Qual não foi o nosso espanto, quando chegou a nossa hora de usufruir estavam mais 6 pessoas lá! (A piscina interior não é grande, por isso, o facto de haver 8 pessoas a usufruir ao mesmo tempo, fez com que ninguém conseguisse nadar nem estar completamente à vontade). Juntando a isto, a mobília da esplanada junto à piscina exterior, estava suja, com teias de aranha e não tinha sequer uma almofada para dar algum conforto. Finalmente, e a cereja no topo do bolo desta experiência, fizemos ums reserva na receção na altura do check-in, para jantar no restaurante do hotel às 20h30. Ora, quando lá chegámos, o empregado informou-nos que devido a uma falha de comunicação da receção, eles não tinham tido conhecimento da nossa reserva e, portanto, só haviam 2 pratos disponíveis e nem sequer tinham entradas. De positivo, apenas o staff que foi sempre simpático e disponível, mas com muito pouca autonomia para tentar melhorar a situação. Enfim, uma experiência muito àquem da expectativa e um hotel que não merece as 4 estrelas.

A delectable and unexpected treat in a small village like Obidos, Portugal. An hotel with a medieval theme in a house that was over 400 years old. From charming reception to a good room with nice bed, cozy living room and comfortable pool area; add a good breakfast and the free parking in a closed garage and you have all the makings of a place you would love to go back to.

We had booked the castle “suite” for 2 nights. Two weeks prior to arrival my husband pulled a leg muscle. Thankfully the gracious staff accommodated a room change from the castle tower to the cottage next door. Boy, were we grateful! Had we no room change we would have abandoned our trip. There are A LOT of uneven stairs just to get to main castle. At night they are dimly lit with no handrails. Very risky for anyone with unsure footing. We did make it to the restaurant one night for dinner (slowly up stairs with breaks). Interior of castle is dreary, musty and tired looking. Having stayed in plenty of other ancient castles this broke my heart to see. The parent company needs to send some executives here for a retreat! The restaurant was, in my opinion, very worn also. Silver chargers were all scratched up, china faded and chipped and food substandard. There were only 3 groups of us in restaurant on a Saturday night…all American. That sums it up there folks! The room in cottage was spacious and bed was fairly comfortable. However, internet never worked and we ended up using a lot of data, bathroom had NO outlets, no robes/slippers, minimal toiletries, no USB ports, and you could hear neighbors through walls. They did bring us breakfast daily as my husband would have difficulty making it up stairs. That was appreciated. I think the staff is trying hard but with SO MUCH needing attention from the parent company it is probably hard to keep smiling and taking complaints. I feel for them.

Idéalement situé pour visiter et profiter des lieux. Super petit déjeuner et personnel disponible et agréable. Parking gratuit appréciable. Assez calme malgré la fréquentation importante. N'a pas aimé: La climatisation ne fonctionnait pas correctement dans la chambre. Vue médiocre sur l'arrière du bâtiment.

The location was perfect for the purpose of my trip. I really liked the cleanliness of the room and the hotel in general. Breakfast was excellent, both in quantity and in quality. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Comfort is great, good isolation and the bed is very comfortable for a good night sleep after work. Good and safe parking for a reasonable and fair price.

This hotel sits on the outskirts of Leiria, and it is easy to get on to the road from there. The reception staff is very friendly, especially the young man. So is the young waiter in the restaurant at night. The food is pretty good. The hotel is modern and clean. It offers a spa area, which I did not use. The bed is quite uncomfortable, and the bathroom is OK. Breakfast is very mediocre, and the coffee, unfortunately, terrible. Overall, ok.

Nuevo hotel en Leiria (abierto hace pocas semanas). Buena conexión a internet, parking gratuito, acceso y salida a la autopista muy fácil. Perfecto para viajes de negocios. Calidad precio inmejorable. Parking exterior cubierto y gratuito. Personal muy atento y educado. Tienen la opción de Chromecast para streaming. Repetiré sin duda.

The beds and pillows are comfortable and the room layout is good. The hotel is a short walk to the Centro Historico and the bus station (if you are visiting Alcobaca or Batalha). Our room had a terrific view of the Leiria Castle. The bathroom and shower are very small but clean. Breakfast is adequate but basic and crowded so not the greatest experience. Overall this hotel is value for money.

Agradável estadia em Abril, no Eurosol Jardim, em Leiria. Quartos simpáticos e limpos. Foram muito atenciosos aquando da solicitação de uma cama extra para uma criança. Bom pequeno almoço com uma vista espetacular sobre o castelo de Leiria. De salientar a simpatia do staff e a sua disponibilidade.
