While public transport can be challenging to navigate, the local ride-share app, Etaxi, proved incredibly efficient and affordable, costing just €12 for the trip to the hotel. Though the hotel is situated outside the city center, it’s only a 35-minute walk to Mother Theresa Square. However, the walk is not particularly scenic, as it runs alongside busy carriageways. Thankfully, Etaxi offers a quick 12-minute ride to the square for just €2.50. The hotel is nestled in a primarily residential area with several supermarkets and a handful of restaurants nearby. Despite the somewhat subdued surroundings, the hotel itself is a showstopper. From the moment you step into the lobby, you’re greeted by plush, comfortable furnishings that exude charm, elegance, and warmth. The check-in process was seamless, with friendly and efficient staff making you feel right at home. The ground floor boasts a lovely lounge area, an outdoor terrace, a stylish restaurant, and a delightful breakfast space. The hotel’s newness is evident in its immaculate design and thoughtful details. An adjoining spa area adds an extra layer of indulgence to the experience. The Suite Experience I was fortunate to stay in one of the hotel’s suites, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides of the room flooded the space with natural light and offered breathtaking views. The suite featured a large, plush bed with an array of pillows and a large-screen TV perfectly positioned for comfort. A spacious seating area with an L-shaped couch, armchair, and an additional TV made the room feel more like a luxurious apartment. Other highlights included a well-equipped work desk, an open wardrobe, and a coffee station complete with a mini-fridge. A thoughtful touch was the fresh fruit plate delivered shortly after check-in. The split bathroom was equally impressive, with a sleek sink at its center, a deep soaking tub, and a separate wet-room shower. Every detail of the room radiated luxury, from the modern décor to the comfortable furnishings. Breakfast Excellence The included breakfast was a standout feature. A generous selection of hot and cold options catered to all tastes, including fresh pastries, breads, fruits, cheeses, and meats, alongside hot dishes such as eggs, sausages, chorizo, and potatoes. The quality of the food was outstanding, and the attentive service made the experience even better. Final Thoughts While Prishtina itself has limited attractions, the Mercure Prishtina City makes the trip worthwhile. I’ve already booked a return visit, purely to enjoy this exceptional hotel again. The breakfast was varied, and the hotel’s location is excellent for reaching key points of interest. What I found odd was that I bought drinks from shops and put them in the minibar to cool, but these were wrongfully counted as used minibar items even though I had purchased them elsewhere. The amount of money involved is negligible, but I still don’t appreciate this assumption. On one night, the lights in the room wouldn’t turn off, which is apparently a common issue. Despite this, I would still recommend the hotel.

The front desk guy was incredibly warm and welcoming, and I enjoyed talking to him when we checked in. The room was large and clean and everything worked well, including the lights and the bathroom facilities. Honestly the only downside was the location, which is a bit outside the center of the city, in a rather shady area filled with massage parlors. But truly, I can recommend this hotel if you are looking for a good value in Pristina, since it is only a 15 minute walk or so from everything near the downtown area! Special shoutout to the manager at the front desk! Great guy.

Das war sehr schönne Erfahrung, excellente Küche, tolle Mitarbeiter, Vergleichbar mit Schweizer Gehobene Hotellerie. Sauberkeit war im höchsten Niveau. Die Küche ist Vielfaltig Französisch&Mediterran . Tartare di Manzo ist sehr Empfelenswet.

After several visits to the Galla hotel in Pristina, I continue to be just as impressed as ever with the staff, the dining and the property. Lists of outstanding acts of service are a privilege. They have taken care to prepare sandwiches for my late night traveling. They notice where I like to sit and steer me to it like we have some sort of agreement. They traveled across Pristina to pick up my COVID tests. They handle business support, billing, WiFi and meetings with ease. I look forward to every opportunity to stay with Galla and hope it’s soon!
