It was my birthday on Monday, so I chose a short trip to Suzhou for the weekend. Choosing Wugong Hotel was absolutely the right decision. The garden-style hotel itself is a scenic wonder at every turn, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, making guests feel right at home! Amy at the Pagoda Shadow Cafe in the hotel was warm and humorous. Plus, guests can freely enter and exit the Panmen Scenic Area, which is connected to the hotel. It's beautiful both during the day and at night when the lights are on. I've already decided to bring my mom back here for the ***** New Year to experience it too!

The location is excellent, and the high-floor view is quite good. The afternoon tea included in the Trip.com package was incredibly good value for money, I just forgot to take a picture before eating it. The room is quite spacious, clean, and tidy. The facilities aren't brand new; there's no high-speed hairdryer or smart toilet, and the power outlet next to the desk was a bit difficult to open. There's only one tissue box, placed on the vanity. However, these are minor issues and don't really matter; they're easily adjustable. What I found unacceptable were two problems. Firstly, the elevator shaft connecting the suspended lobby to the first floor constantly emitted a whistling wind sound, which was noisy and unsettling. Secondly, I'm not sure if the air conditioning system is old and ineffective, or if they're saving energy and haven't turned it on properly. I couldn't adjust the temperature or mode. Outside, the temperature was dropping fast, nearing zero degrees, yet even with the in-room AC control set to 28°C, there was still no airflow. I called the front desk, and it took an age for someone to arrive. They pointed a forehead thermometer at the vent, it beeped, and they claimed the vent was blowing 26°C, saying there was no problem and that this was the set temperature, controlled centrally by the hotel. The problem is, I had the whimsical idea to hold a paper-thin tissue up to the vent, and it didn't even flutter.

We chose the two-bedroom family room, which was very comfortable. The staff were excellent and very attentive; they always helped with luggage when they saw us and promptly answered any questions. Breakfast is better if you go during off-peak hours, and all food items are clearly labeled if they are halal. There are two breakfast restaurants: one on the ground floor lobby and one on the 56th floor in the Asia Pacific building. The food is the same at both. Personally, I found the ground floor one more convenient for families like ours, but the 56th floor is worth visiting for the experience.

Everything was top tier. From the check-in where I was upgraded to a river view room, the clean, spacious and inviting room to the service and superb breakfast. The view from the restaurant was amazing. This was my pre birthday trip and the Hyatt made it so special. I even got a slice to birthday cake. The lady at the front desk who checked me in spoke really good English and was so kind and caring and she’s also a Gemini 😁🎉 I would 100% recommend and come back here.

This trip exceeded all my expectations, I'm incredibly satisfied! Even though Ctrip customer service didn't fully communicate my requests, the hotel was very generous. They upgraded me directly to an executive lake view room, which instantly elevated the whole experience. Getting an upgrade, especially to such a great room type during a holiday, is truly rare. The room offered views of both the lake and the 'Big Trousers' building. The hotel's service was impeccable; they were so good with kids, even giving them balloons and rings. All in all, it's an excellent family-friendly hotel. The playground is also better than those at most other hotels. The pool was great too, though we didn't get to try the outdoor one during our winter visit – we hope to return in the summer to experience it. I would definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Suzhou for three reasons: first, its excellent location; second, its service quality and standards far surpass those of Crowne Plaza; and third, the hotel is very accommodating and good to children.

Sofitel Lianyungang truly exceeded my expectations! Its downtown location is super convenient, with Suning Plaza right downstairs, offering easy access to dining and shopping. The room was clean and spacious, and from the high floor, I could overlook the city. The bedding was incredibly soft, ensuring a wonderful night's sleep. The breakfast spread was incredibly rich, with freshly made seafood noodles and waffles being absolutely delicious. The buffet dinner was also quite good. The front desk service was very thoughtful, proactively helping us plan our sightseeing routes. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit.

Our stay was made truly special by Alice, our butler, whose thoughtful service impressed us from start to finish! She not only proactively upgraded our room but also prepared a beautiful, fresh fruit platter for us in advance – such a warm and considerate touch. Alice patiently shared detailed and practical tips for exploring the area, from walking routes around Xuanwu Lake to the specialty snacks at Shiziqiao Food Street. Her advice saved us a lot of trouble. The room itself was high-end and fully equipped, with a Dyson hairdryer and a supremely comfortable bed. The huge floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views of Xuanwu Lake and the city skyline; whether it was the scenic lake and mountains by day or the sparkling city lights at night, the visual experience was absolutely stunning. The hotel's central location also made it incredibly convenient. Both the facilities and service were impeccable. We'll definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip to Nanjing!
