Miyazaki Kanko Hotel stands along Tachibana Koen-dori Street (1-1-1 Matsuyama, Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, 880-8512) overlooking the Oyodo River. It is a large, well-established hotel. There is a large hot spring bath on the first floor of the West Wing, and on the second floor is Shokusai Kenbi Ichiboku Ichiso, where the breakfast buffet is located. A dinner buffet is also available. The hotel is old, so there is nothing new about it, but the rooms are spacious, the utility room is spacious, and the bathtub is also large. There is only an AC outlet for power, no USB, and the AC at the desk has to be plugged in through a wall socket at the foot of the desk, which gives it a sense of history, but this is not a problem.

The hotel's surroundings and location are quite good, perfect for a vacation. However, the hotel is very old, and all the facilities need updating, including the room decor which needs a complete renovation.

The hotel staff were warm and polite, proactively asking if I needed help with my luggage. The room was spacious with a great sense of open space. The hot springs could use some improvement, as the experience was just average. Overall, it was a good stay.

I booked a cottage and found that it was a very spacious suite. The bed was either a bed or a Japanese futon, with a partition for privacy. There was a kitchen with an oven and a dining table. I couldn't resist going out to buy fresh food to make breakfast (you can check out at this hotel until 12:00, so you don't have to worry about not making it in time). There is also a washing machine and dryer. The bathroom is divided into a toilet and a shower. There is a dressing room with a very large mirror. A woman like me was very impressed. 😍 The hotel is surrounded by a pine forest because the back is the beach. You can borrow the hotel's bicycles to ride and enjoy the view. This is a newly built hotel, very clean and suitable for families. The room interior was also neat, and I appreciated having a small kitchenette where I could wash and eat some simple fruits. It's about a 10-minute walk to the downtown area, making it a good location for sightseeing. For breakfast, I ordered granola, but it was just regular cereal granola. There are no on-site parking facilities, so you have to park in a private lot behind the building.
