Hotel Dengan Gym di Osaka Prefecture, Japan

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! Turn left when you step out, and you're surrounded by high-end brands like LV and Chanel. Shinsaibashi is straight ahead, and Dotonbori is to your right. A special shout-out to the front desk girl who let me check in half an hour early. And the breakfast was incredibly rich and varied!

Room was small but having a washing machine was great. BUT the cleanliness of the place is a big fail. It looked nice and clean… but we found piece of a fake eyelash on the bed (obviously none of us use fake lashes) from a previous guest?! …. And WORSE, a couple of days later when we entered the room we saw a huge cockroach on the carpet. As we got closer to check if it was indeed a cockroach it scuttled under the bed! After complaining to the hotel, they said they did not have any spare rooms to move us to! They offered to spray insecticide in the room but no way I’m sleeping in a room filled with insecticide and a cockroach. The manager refused to come out and see us and made the poor receptionist lady come and offer to clean the room for us (this was at 9+pm) but she changed her mind when I said I would have to see her actually capture the cockroach and remove it. After wasting at least half an hour of our time, they finally managed to “find” us another room to move to. No upgrade or anything. Same room but offered us free breakfast the next morning. The service was polite and nice (except from the hiding manager), but no I would not stay here again. There was also too many stairs to/from the train station to manage with luggage.

Right next to the busiest tourist area in Osaka and with access to large number of facilities., Spaworld is surely a top choice to stay. But actually, the day ticket only costs 1500 yen and overnight staying fee is 1300 yen, which means you don't really need to stay in the hotel to use everything and stay for a night, kind of like a SPA net cafe. The plus for using the hotel is that you allow yourself to enter anytime you want.

Decided to go to Japan for a few days during the National Day holiday on a whim, so I looked for a hotel with a good location. The room was indeed very small; it was hard to walk around once my 28-inch suitcase was open. The pros are that it's clean and tidy, and the service attitude is excellent – though I don't think there are any hotels with bad service in Japan anyway. It rained heavily for two of the three days I was there, which made the hotel's location incredibly convenient and thoughtful. I could do all my shopping and dining without even leaving the building. You can still hear the trains arriving and departing at night, but it's not a major issue.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The room was nice and, by Japan standards, surprisingly spacious. The amenities were good, and the location was very convenient—close to the train station and within walking distance of Shinsaibashi. The main downside was the cleanliness. I noticed quite a bit of dust accumulated on the shelves, which was disappointing. I also requested a room makeover after staying for 2 nights during my 4-night stay, but the shelves were still dusty afterward. Other than the cleanliness issue, I enjoyed the room size, amenities, and convenient location. With better attention to housekeeping and dusting, this would have been a much more comfortable stay.

Location: Next to Bentencho station so easy access to Osaka loop line and Chuo Line for Subway and Rail. Really good location even though it's not central Osaka. The advantage is that you can still get everywhere within 10-20mins and the surrounding area is clean and safe and quiet. There is a 7-11 next door and a commercial gym (charged at 1650 per day) Negatives are there is not much to do in the evenings. But this leads to the quietness of the area and is an advantage Hotel Room: We stayed in double room and it was large. Nice comfortable bed with good pillows. The AC was modern and good and did not make noise even while we were asleep. The room is cleaned daily (tidy and new towels) with new sheets every 3 days. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner provided. The room was also very clean. The bed has USB and chargers on either side of it. There is space to hang clothes But the room is really nice. We always were glad to come back to a very clean and tidy place. The TV has English menus but we never watched anything. Negatives are the fridge could be colder and the bathroom sink has a tiny slope on it so you cannot place product on the sink but you have a shelf above the sink for this. Very slight negatives for what is a great place to stay Hotel features: Excellent. Great laundry room with several washers & dryers. Trouser presses, vending machine and ice machine. A rooftop terrace with good views. The breakfast is free and is underwhelming, just different bread and pastries with choices of juice, soups, water and yogurt. It's acceptable and I guess it's free. The hotel lobby has little items you can take if needed, such as hair bands, toothbrushes, razor kits but something nice was that they give you bath bombs for free too. Different ones each day. Staff: Very friendly and helpful, even after midnight when I made requests they were very fast and helpful Overview: 100% would stay here again. The price-to-quality ratio and the large room size make this an easy choice. Do not worry about location, I stayed it Dontonburi area before and alothgh its close to everything, its loud, dirty and feels unsafe. But the location of Porta Inn is really good and super easy to get to central areas (around 10-20mins) and easy to get to the airport (direct line) and easy to get to Universal Studios too.

The location is fantastic – it's quiet despite being in a bustling area, and not far from Osaka's iconic Glico Man and Shinsaibashi, as long as you can navigate well. Upon entering the hotel, there's a subtle, pleasant aroma that immediately makes you feel comfortable. For Japan, the room size is quite generous; of course, there are bigger ones, but I believe in Japan, the price and room size are definitely proportional to the value for money. The front desk staff, regardless of the time, always served with a smile and answered questions diligently. Yes, I mean diligently – they genuinely put their hearts into serving guests. There was a minor hiccup during check-in, which I didn't even dwell on. I simply mentioned it casually late at night when exchanging coins. To my surprise, when I returned to the hotel the next afternoon after shopping, I found an apology card and some fruit in my room. They truly value guest satisfaction and the quality of their hotel. If I visit Osaka again, this hotel will definitely be my top choice.

We were pleasantly surprised by the hotel's wonderful view (we stayed on the 18th floor, the top floor). We booked the room with breakfast included, and it was great—they even had sushi! The hotel has an onsen; we tried the private one together. It wasn't mind-blowing, but it's worth a try if you want to soak in a hot bath. From noon until 10 PM, you can treat yourself to free beer 🍺, sake, or mix your own cocktails with spirits. Every day from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM, they serve complimentary ramen, which is super delicious! There is also free ice cream available all day 🍦. The room was cleaned daily, and shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were provided in the room. Other amenities like loofahs, hairbrushes, and razors were available on the 1st floor. There is also access to a rooftop terrace on the 18th floor with a gorgeous view! The hotel's location is fantastic and convenient—just a 2-minute walk to the nearest Ebisucho Station, a 5-minute walk to the Shinsekai area (where the Tsutenkaku Tower is), and Dotonbori is about 30 minutes on foot or 20 minutes by a combination of walking and the subway. We always took the subway.

This is my second time in Osaka, and I chose the Waldorf Astoria again. The room facilities are excellent, and it's super convenient to walk to all the major department stores in Umeda from the hotel's underground access. However, the breakfast was quite disappointing. Apart from congee, there were no other Japanese food options at the breakfast buffet, only an à la carte set. While it was very refined, for the price, there should definitely be more Japanese food options included in the buffet.

The hygiene, environment, and location of the hotel are all excellent. Aki interacted with guests at every table during breakfast and even helped take photos 📷, which was very heartwarming. The hotel's location is superb, only a 5-minute walk to the nearest Tenmabashi. The breakfast was abundant with fresh ingredients, and you can see Osaka's iconic landmarks from the restaurant. I would definitely consider staying here again next time.
