Paulo was the best! He is why I give this place 4 stars! He was the friendly front desk person that you want to have greet you after a long journey. Although there was a long line of people waiting to check in, he did not make anyone feel rushed and gave you the information you needed to orient yourself.

Os quartos são ótimos, super limpos, camas muito confortáveis, mas quanto ao atendimento tem muito a desejar, estive hospedada duas noites com o meu marido e a minha filha de 6 anos, na altura que fiz a reserva disse que tinha um evoucher, para duas pessoas mas que tinha a minha filha com seis anos, que dormia na mesma cama do que nós, não me colocaram qualquer problema, a única coisa que me informaram foi do pagamento do pequeno almoço. quando cheguei ao quarto solicitei uma almofada porque só havia duas e o meu marido dorme com duas. Acharam que seria para a minha filha, mas não porque inclusive tinha levado a dela. No dia a seguir devolvi porque a recepcionista disse me que tinha que pagar à parte a almofada e as toalhas, por amor de Deus, nunca vi isto em hotel nenhum. Quanto ao pequeno almoço da minha filha, que foi só um dia, porque no dia seguinte mal cheguei à sala do pequeno almoço dirigi-me ao funcionário e informei que a minha filha de seis anos não iria tomar o pequeno almoço. Para meu espanto quando vou fazer o checkout dizem me que tenho a pagar dois pequenos almoços, ao que disse que não porque a minha filha de seis anos só tinha tomado o pequeno almoço um dia, ao que o funcionário que eu me tinha dirigido a dizer que a minha filha de seis anos não iria comer, disse-me que eu deveria ter informado 24 horas antes...ao que acho vergonhoso ser necessário porque não é um copo de leite e um pãozinho com queijo ter de ser contabilizado na véspera. É muito triste esta situação ser feita a uma criança de seis anos, nem nunca vi isto em hotel nenhum...mas enfim

Stayed here one night on a cycling tour. On the positive side, our room was clean, large and spacious. Good sized modern shower room too. On downside, it was plain to the point of being Spartan, stank of drains from the bathroom and the two small windows were situated just below the high ceiling. They had metal covers rather than blinds or curtains so overall feel was cell-like. The hotel had provided large wooden stairs to climb up and reach one window but this contraption wasn’t easily moveable so for the other window you had to balance on a chair in order to close the steel doors at night. The smell of drains became intolerable. On checking out I mentioned it to the receptionist who was totally unconcerned and said it was usual when it rained. It hadn’t been raining when we checked in and other rooms occupied by our party were not affected but clearly they weren’t planning on investigating. It was ok for one night but I wouldnt choose to return.

I booked a group sales event. It was challenging bc I had to pre-pay for 1/2 of rooms with cash via a bank transfer. They would not accept credit cards. I asked what would happen if we had less attendees than I’d counted on. They told me not to worry, that I’d receive any reimbursement upon check out. I was owed over 1700 euro. I was NOT paid upon check out. Then I was told that I had to wait for the accounting team to return from holiday. I was not paid then. Then I was told I had to wait until the end of the month. I was also told if I had paid with a card that they would have already done it, (but they wouldn’t allow me to use a card!) As of today, I have not been paid. They also said that I needed to receive my reimbursement in a Portuguese account, despite accepting payment out of an American account. Luckily, I had one. Unluckily, they refused to accept my account info from the internet. So they made me drive to Coimbra to get bank credentials. (Then had another excuse not to pay me.) There have been big wildfires and I drove through one, trying to get to the bank. It was terrifying. It has been 3 weeks. At this point, my emails are not answered and it looks like I will have to sue. The accommodations are fine, but I would strongly recommend against using them for a big group, based on my experience. Waiting for people to return from their holiday to get paid money that is owed?? What??! I waited 3 weeks to write this review, to give them the benefit of the doubt. I’m very disappointed. Maybe this is just the way that people do business in Portugal? I don’t know know but it isn’t good. Seems very unprofessional to me. I will never book a big group with them again, nor with any other Ibis affiliate, based on this experience.

Charming. Yes, it is a little old fashioned but as it sails serenely towards its 100th birthday we found it a lovely antidote to the identikit modernity offered by so many tourist hotels. The location is just about perfect for travellers as it's only a few minutes walk from both the railway station and the main street. The staff are superb; welcoming and a very good source of information if required.

What a suprisingly lovely hotel couldn't say anything bad about Luna hotel de tabua the staff are helpful and the reception speak very good English very friendly nothing to much trouble the breakfast was nice and lots of choice The room was clean and fresh and lots of wardrobe space Very nice place to stay would recommend it to any body We didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment on the restaurant but was always busy in the evening when passing

The hotel is one of the lovliest I have ever been in Portugal (25 visits). Very unique, has a history and lovely drcorated. The gardens are great to stroll and the entire atmosphere is suberb. Rooms are comfortable and the meals are tasty. I did not give it 5 points due to 2 unprofessional acts that were made by the hotel. A suitcase of one of my travelers was missing and apparently was found a day later in a wrong room - The hotel has not find a way to express apology. The same traveler forgot shoes in her room that were found by the hotel but they never let us know that they found it ( for 5 days). In spite of that the hotel is highly recommended

Depois de um impressionante trajecto entre a vila de Côja e Piódão, pela estrada que volteia pela ”cordilheira” da serra do Açor, somos recebidos com simpatia e franco acolhimento, pela diretora e por todo o staff, fazendo-nos sentir ”em casa, fora de casa”. A decoração temática, alusiva à época natalícia, é esmerada e não um cantinho por decorar com bom gosto. Os quartos, têm amplas janelas para a montanha ou, como o nosso, para a famosa ”aldeia presépio”, parte da rora das aldeias históricas de Portugal. A vista e sempre deslumbrante e o silêncio uma bênção. O interior de design contemporânea, contrasta com a imporalidade do xisto, característico da região, que reveste as paredes exteriores do hotel, que coroa um dos cumes que ladeiam o vale onde se aninha a secular aldeia de Piódão. Os amplos quartos, com opção de casal, familiares e/ou comunicantes, são arejados e luminosos, primando pelo conforto das suas camas, da área de estar ou de leitura, têm disponíveis amenities como champô, gel de banho, touca, entre outros essências tão para os mais esquecidos ou para quem gosta de viajar com pouca bagagem. Todas as áreas são acessíveis a pessoas com mobilidade reduzida, incluída a piscina interior, não faltando espaços dedicados aos mais pequenos, para ”brincar às casinhas”, interior, ou desfrutar do baloiço ou escorrega, no bem cuidado jardim exterior com vegetação autóctone. As áreas comuns, são igualmente amplas, com generosas vidraças e/ou terraços que se abrem para a serra e onde se pode aptoveitar o sol, mesmo no inverno. O restaurante ”Serra do Açor”, serve o melhor da tradicional gastronomia beirã, onde não faltam os bons queijos ou famoso bucho, podendo optar-se por outras receitas. No igualmente farto buffet da consoada Natal não faltou o peru e ”fiel amigo”, nem as rabanas, os sonhos, as filhoses entre outras delícias doces ou salgadas, também presentes na ceia à ceia, assim como a famosa receita de cabrito no forno, servido no dia 25. Para terminar a noite em beleza, um café ou um digestivo, no bar, com confortável sala de estar, com lareira a combinar, tornando-o ainda mais acolhedor. Foi uma estada memorável que queremos repetir, em outras épocas do ano, ainda com mais tempo!

The Ibis is Coimbra is perfectly situated along the water front, near shops and a short 5 minute walk from the train station. Upon check in the staff was very friendly. In fact, I would say it was one of the best check in experiences I have ever had. The rooms are adequately sized. The air conditioning was perfect and kept me cool during the heat and humidity. Breakfast was good. Overall, no complaints. I loved the Ibis and would return.

Whilst the views from my room on the 14th floor can be described as nothing more than spectacular, nothing could detract from the room. A huge, bland, sparce space, void of any personality or comforting features. The mini bar/fridge also looked out of place on the floor under the tv. It was a shame that there were no facilities to make a hot drink, as to sit on the balcony and appreciate the views with a coffee would have certainly enhanced the experience. The pool and gym on the 16th floor looked clean and modern. Sadly, I wasn't permitted to use the pool as swim caps were compulsory. The hotel itself can not be missed. It stands proud and magnificently above the rest, and it is perfectly placed to go off and explore Figueroa Da Foz.

This hotel is a hidden gem! Great location that includes being minutes (walking) from the heart of old city center of Coimbra, great small resturants, shopping, and seeing the university. There is also a grocery store about 2 minutes walking distance which is always a bonus in my book. This hotel is located about 4 walking minutes from the train station and about a 7 minute drive from the bus station. What I loved about this hotel is the bar area, which is also the breakfast area, and then you walk up a flight of stairs to one of the best roof top sitting area! Amazing picture taking. The bar opens at 4:00PM and offers light eats, wine, beer, and other drinks. Good prices as well. Breakfast is very good with eggs, bacon, fruit, and many other items. The only con I would say is that the rooms are a little dated and bare essentials provided. However, it doesn't keep me from recommending the hotel highly and I would love to visit again. Also, bonus the staff is very friendly and helpful. Great stay!

A very modern hotel with many facilities. A little out of the way from town centre but set in a more rural/residential area. Exactly what we needed after the hustle and bustle of downtown Coimbra. Excellent breakfast and superb dinner. Very reasonable price for the type of hotel it turned out to be.

We stayed here for 3 nights in April. I booked this hotel because it was reasonably priced and had a pool, which we were glad of because the weather was very warm. Our room was on the second floor and had a fridge and a safe, no kettle. Bed was comfortable, everything was clean and modern. The bathroom had a bath and shower. Our room overlooked the street but because it’s one street back from the main road it wasn’t noisy. The window was able to be opened (which I like because I like fresh air) and the air conditioning worked. The pool area is very nice, it was quiet while we were there, although I expect it gets busy as the season progresses. We did go in the outdoor pool although only briefly as it was a bit chilly, but we used the indoor pool and sauna a couple of times, plus the gym. The hotel is outside of the old town, it’s about a 15 minute stroll away. We arrived into Coimbra by train, the train station is about 20 minutes away on foot. There are some decent bars and restaurants not too far from the hotel and a big supermarket. This hotel is a good choice if you don’t want to stay right in the centre of the old town and want a nice pool to relax by. The large Forum shopping centre is just across the river, 20 minute walk. The guy who checked us in was very helpful and spent time explaining what to see and do. We would stay here again if we returned to Coimbra.

La posizione, ai piedi della parte alta della città, di per sé è ottima, un po' meno lo è quanto a disponibilità dei mezzi pubblici di trasporto. È un vecchio palazzotto, già appartenuto a qualche notable del luogo, recentemente ristrutturato. Le camere sono ampie e luminose, con bagno, ma manca il bidet. Se l'insonorizzazione esterna è buona, quella interna, a causa dei pavimenti in legno, regala qualche scricchiolio di troppo. Il garage, gratuito, non è il massimo della comodita, visti gli spazi angusti di manovra. Buona la colazione. Non ho usufruito degli altri servizi (piscina, palestra, ecc.) La ragazza alla reception è cortese e disponibile. Tornati alle 17 abbiamo avuto la sgradita sorpresa di trovare la camera nelle stesse condizioni in cui l'avevamo lasciata, cioè con il letto da rifare. Valutarlo 4 stelle mi sembra un tantino ottimistico, direi un ottimo 3 stelle.

estadia sem nada apontar, limpeza ok desde os quartos à do hotel em geral, todos os funcionários são simpáticos e atenciosos, pequeno almoço também aceitável e suficiente. Estacionamento na zona um pouco complicado e por vezes bastante difícil.

Todo perfecto como siempre. El desayuno es un lujo, la habitación también, todo maravilloso.

Excellent location (across the road from the beach, good marina near by, plenty of restaurants walking distance). Very hospitable and friendly staff, quick and easy check in and out. Newly furbished rooms, very clean, ocean view balcony (I've had a free upgrade curtessy of hotel staff, as ocean view rooms were available). Great money value, affordable prices. Good breakfast. Good food at the restaurant, very good service. Good English spoken. Free Wi-Fi. Free parking available near-by. Rent-a-car facility walking distance. I stayed there twice, and will do again whenever I'm in the area.

This hotel is in a very good location and is very clean. We ended up staying 2 weeks because this hotel is in close proximity to the place I had business to conduct. However, if you like to avoid bumping into your luggage when walking in the room I'd advise perhaps another hotel because the room we stayed at was nice and clean but really small. I may be wrong but juddging from the plan on the wall, all rooms seemed to be small. There was zero place to put the luggage. We had to leave it on the floor against the wall and be careful when walking or else we'd bump into the luggage. Like all hotels around, there is no parking but close to this hotel, you may be able to find free parking. We did for the whole time we stayed there and that is mostly why we decided not to move the luggage around to another hotel. Originally, I wanted to travel to other locations (rented a car) but the business I had to do postponed the appointments and we extended the stay here. If you somehow find yourself in a similar situation do yourself a favor by going online and purchase your extended stay online because if, like I did (for 2 night only) go to the front desk and ask for an extension, they ding you right there. I kid you not we paid 30 euros more for EACH of the 2 nights we extended and for the same room. Right after, I found that I needed yet to stay longer, then, went online and booked the same room for 30 euros per night less than I paid at the front desk. Overall was a good stay even though the breakfast, in my view, should include some regional sweets. If you travel by car do a search because some hotels we stayed at do offer that.

Ein fabelhaftes Hotel am Dünenrand. Unmittelbarer Zugang zum Strand. Tolle Ausstattung. Geräumige Suite mit kleinem Balkon, von hier und Schlafzimmer: fantastischer Meerblick. Das hoteleigene Restaurant verwöhnt mit Angeboten der regionalen Spitzengastronomie zu außerordentlich günstigen Konditionen. Die freundliche Bedienung gab die Empfehlungen des Küchenchefs an uns weiter. Wir sind den Empfehlungen gefolgt und durften exquisite Kreationen und Köstlichkeiten von Land und Meer goutieren. Absolut lohnenswert. Der gesamte Staff (Zimmerservice, Rezeption, Gastronomie): kompetent, freundlich, zugewandt. Wir kommen wieder.
