Ok so after reading reviews on here and on booking website it was mixed reviews I was worried and not I booked the room for £49.52 inc breakfast we was only here for one night we got a taxi from the airport to vertice roomspace it cost around €46 u can get a train however we weren’t sure where the train would stop the taxi driver didn’t know where the hotel was and stopped to ask for directions checked in fine receptionist was lovely and helpful u can pay additional for breakfast at €7 each if u didn’t book b&b the room well what can I say it’s basic I had to laugh literally a bed tv wardrobe and a desk air con didn’t work but it was cold anyway but if u come here in the summer u may wanna make sure it works the bathroom was small and the shower well u couldn’t swing a cat!!! I asked for another blanket as we were cold and they brought us one in madrid city centre isn’t far got the train which was €4.40 for x2 adults one way however cause we didn’t know how to use the ticket machine we ended up with a single so had to buy another to get bck u need the C3 line which takes u to sol which is the city centre bare in mind when u buy a ticket it only accepts card not cash but the main stations accept cash literally a 20-30 min train ride overall the hotel is ok for 1 night anymore than that I would choose something else Breakfast was standard the hot food scrambled egg sausages and bacon didn’t look every warm so didn’t touch that the breakfast was ok continental style I’ve had better breakfast else where in all honestly for 1 night it was fine the bed was comfy only thing is another pillow and another blanket and it would have been good Downstairs there is a little break room with vending machines to get food and also microwaves which I thought was a nice little touch

Antes de entrar al hotel , Marisa del personal del hotel, nos atendió vía telefónica estupendamente y nos explicó como hacer check in por internet, ya que en este hotel se hace de esa forma (cosa que debería explicar Trip.com y no viene indicado).

Please Avoid this place. It is cheap but nothing else! I stayed here checked into the receiption which is 24 hours after my working day. The place is near the metro cuatro caminos (a mainly poorer area of Madrid with lots of south american population). The area does have a 24 hour supermarket which was good as the hostal has no food/drink facilities. The room was a very small single bed as I was alone on an education course for my job. The room had a fan and tv and a small table. Once you switch off the light the fan goes off so you cannot sleep with the fan on at night with 39c heat. you cannot leave the window open as its not a safe place. The first moment I checked in, i quickly went outside to get air and get the metro outside. They checked in a drunk african man at 6pm in the evening who was walking up the stairs with a can of beer unable to walk or see anything (their is no lift to the rooms) you need to walk up around 50 stairs to the rooms. They take anyone from the streets if they pay the small charge to stay here. Second day, the two receiptionists or owners were fighting over money from the hotel they were shouting and getting agressive. Its was an uncomfortable situation to see. I left and came back after work for a shower and the room had not been cleaned. They said you didnt put a badge on the door saying clean my room. Couldnt they knock and say something? Very strange way of working? The next day I put the badge clean my room but NO nothing changed. It was an excuse.. Then I went and complained he didnt speak any English and didnt want to know he said the cleaners left and nothing he can do. I pulled off the bedsheets, but the bed protector was badly stained with blood and I also got a skin rash. I left the property 1 day early, it was disgusting. The toilets were not cleaned either and insects were crawling everywhere. This place should be closed down immediately. They dont take security or cleaning seriously, they dont want to know problems only take your money. I explained to Expedia about this place but the hotel denied everything. SHAME!!!

Immediately you get an e-mail stating all these rules, which is fine, except then I got an e-mail asking if I was female as I booked a female dorm room, and if not they would charge me the full amount and cancel my booking within 2 days. A bit worrying when you're travelling around Europe without 24/7 internet service. I made 3 different bookings on 3 different dates, so I got 3 of these e-mails, each time having to confirm I was a female over a period of one week, because the staff clearly don't have a good record-keeping process. Then after all this hassle, I got an e-mail saying if I don't pay for the first night, my future bookings would all be cancelled. I used to work at a hostel so I know the system, and it's clear that they do this a lot, just to get double or even triple the cost for one bed. That's how they make their $$$$$$. So obviously I didn't have a very positive attitude walking into the place, but I thought I'd give it a shot as I have stayed in countless hostels in Europe, and I can honestly say, without bias, that this was one of the worst. The beds are given a blanket but they are not changed after each guest, so be prepared for that. Also be prepared for all sorts of weirdos as this place is cheap and central, and not comfortable for a solo female traveller. This place is obviously going to be booked all the time because of its location, so let the weirdos stay there and stay somewhere where you will be more respected and not treated like a rule-breaker from the second you pay your deposit.

The room was nice had good amenities but was a bit small but that's not a problem although I could have gotten a bigger room in London for less as I paid $85 which was to much for that size expecially since Spain is meant to be cheaper. The staff where helpful and friendly and very professional. My main issue was the 1€ charge for a locker to store your bag after checkout. Not a lot but si ce I'd already paid more than I should that was 1€ to much so had to carry my heavy bags everywhere till midnight. Would be appreciated if you could just make that free as 1€ not a lot to you but to me after paying a lot already was a lot.

Apesar de haber estado 1 noche hemos estado muy cómodos, la chica de recepción muy amable, lo único malo es que al llamar a atención al cliente no respondió nadie, de todas formas estamos seguros de que volveremos☺️

La atención es excelente. Las chicas de la recepción son súper amables. La limpieza de las habitaciones muy buena y la ubicación excelente

Excellent Hotel in Centre of Madrid Staff Very Friendly and Helpful Rooms Clean and Perfect It was Cold in Madrid and the Heating was Brilliant when We returned from a Night on the Lash...My Friend had Black Pudding for Breakfast and said it was Excellent..On Check in we were told a couple of Places to Eat and there were great. The Wanderly Wagon was Excellent.. Will for Sure Return.

I regret to say that this is the worst place I have ever stayed at. It must not have been upgraded since the Eighties or earlier. The room is very small, the bathroom is tiny, there are only two very old plugs, one above the middle of the bed and one next to the entrance (none close to the tiny desk, which is by the bathroom door). The wifi doesn't work. I have a recent phone and none of the 3 wifi lines worked. The first night there was no hot water. The shower holder was broken and we had to hold the cheap shower head in our hand. The room gave to the interior light-well of the building where all the air conditioning engines are located. Therefore, we heard their noise all night long. The window is very old and not double glaze. The worst was the bed. Very small (hard to consider it a double bed) and with a mattress that was probably 30 years old, extremely uncomfortable and completely worn-out. So, between the noise and the bed it was absolutely impossible to sleep. To have the room cleaned you must put the sign ”please clean the room” on the door, otherwise they don't clean it. But as no one bothers to inform you about that (does it take much to mention it when the guests arrive or to put a sign inside the bedroom?) if you don't put the sign, your room will not be cleaned. Now, if I had paid 40 Euros per night for this room, I wouldn't complain. But for 100 Euros per night, this place is a rip off. We went to complain the first night and the guy at the reception said that he couldn't do anything and that we had to talk to the manager the following day. We did, and she said that ”no one had ever complained”, which is something I find very hard to believe.... So: old place, tiny, not clean (there were pieces of chocolate on the wardrobe shelf), very noisy, totally uncomfortable. Does it take much to replace mattresses so guests can at least rest better? Just this shows how this place works. Avoid it.

La atención es excelente. Las chicas de la recepción son súper amables. La limpieza de las habitaciones muy buena y la ubicación excelente

Estuve alojada allí los días 8 y 9 de enero en plena nevada. Llegue allí a las 23:30 y, a pesar de tener la cocina cerrada, se ofrecieron a hacerme un bocadillo para cenar. Lo primero a destacar fue la amabilidad del personal. No aprovecharon las circunstancias meteorológicas para cobrar más. Al contrario, el precio fue más económico y me alojaron en el segundo edificio que es más nuevo. Tiene comunicación directa con la cafetería-restaurante. Comida muy buena y casera. Calefacción en las habitaciones que estaban limpias y bien aprovechadas. Me alojé en una habitación individual con baño propio y todas las comodidades.En la habitación no había secador pero bajé a la recepción y me prestaron uno sin problema. En cuanto a la ubicación, se encuentra a 5 minutos andando de n la comisaría y boca de metro de San Fernando de Henares. A unos 100 metros hay una plaza con farmacia, supermercado y tiendas dónde poder comprar comida. Ha sido un fin de semana difícil por las circunstancias en las que lleguye allí pero sinceramente, creo que he tenido mucha suerte encontrando este hostal. MI ”aventura” acabó yéndome andando desde San Fernando a Torrejón de Ardoz. Espero no encontrarme de nuevo en estas circunstancias pero si me vuelve a pasar volveré a este hostal.

En nuestro viaje a Madrid nos hospedamos en Getafe, Hostal Carlos III, a 400m más o menos de una estación de tren que te conecta directamente con Puerta del Sol. El hostal no está mal, aunque no sirve comidas ni cenas, solo desayuno en buffet libre por 7€. Las camas son cómodas, pero si pides una supletoria porque no hay habitaciones de tres personas, la supletoria es muy incómoda (una cama plegable con un colchón de muelles). Aunque las instalaciones no están mal, le hace falta un cambio de suelo (deteriorado) y en los baños (aún con bañera). Las habitaciones tienen calefacción, pero el baño no tiene, con lo que salir de la ducha es todo un reto si te hospedas en invierno con el frío que hace. El personal muy amable y muy cerca de calle principal, cono cual tienes todo cerca (tiendas, comercios, banco, restauración ect...) Bien de precio.

Hice una reservación de 8 días, hablé para ver si me podían recibir las maletas antes de la hora del check in ya que saldría de España y tenía que dejar las maletas, atendiéndome un chico de nombre Joel o Yoel, quien me dijo que no había ningún problema en dejarlas. Así que mi vuelo salía a las 10:50 am y quedé de dejar con el hostal las maletas a las 08:30 am, sin embargo estuve esperando hasta las 11:10 que la chica de recepción abrió la puerta. Perdiendo así mi vuelo. Al finalizar pagué por la pérdida de mi vuelo como si me hubiera quedado en un hotel 5 estrellas

Tengo opinión encontradas, por un las el hostal, sorprende y de hostal tiene poco, hay hoteles de más categoría que son peores, es de buena calidad, el baño es bueno y cómodo con buena ducha con mampara total (ni cortina ni mampara de una hoja), la cama es cómoda aunque la habitación algo pequeña pero es suficiente, la atención del personal correcta y educada y el desayuno es bastante bueno y completo. Está bien ubicado con sitios para comer o cenar al lado, no es un alojamiento ”perdido de la mano de Dios”. Hasta ahora todo bien, ¿no? Entonces, ¿cómo justificar mi título? Mis luces y sombras?? Parecen todo luces y ninguna sombra. Pues más bien mis sombras en realidad se deben precisamente a eso, a las luces y es que estando en España no se comprende no tener persianas, sólo hay unos estores que no cubren perfectamente las ventanas y entrar luz por la noche y, aunque esto es muy particular y subjetivo, me impidió dormir y descansar por lo que no puedo puntuar este alojamiento con mejor nota, porque de lo que se trata es de comodidades fundamentalmente.

Sin duda alguna, es un hostal para pasar un par de noches, no mucho más. Cumple con las expectativas, sobre todo al contar con baño privado. Las camas y las almohadas muy justitas, no incómodas, paro tampoco una maravilla. El problema principal es que la cama tiene ruedas, así que si te mueves mucho (como es mi caso) puedes acabar en cualquier parte. El desayuno está bien, con productos de marca, pero bastante básico. Cereales, tostadas, fruta, algún dulce y café o cacao. La ubicación no es mala, en 10 minutos estás en el centro de Alcalá, lo bueno que tiene es que hay posibilidad de aparcar en la calle (que parece bastante tranquila) sin ningún tipo de problema. Además, el centro comercial que tiene en frente, te puede sacar de más de un apuro para cenar. No tendría problema en repetir
