Excellent! It's right at the Xinjiekou subway exit, with a bustling street area downstairs. It was so convenient to just head downstairs after a shower to find something delicious to eat. Plus, the hostel is quite large and very well-regulated. The sleeping areas are separate from the common areas, so it's not noisy at all. The common area is spacious, and you have to change into slippers when entering the sleeping quarters, which keeps it very clean. The staff at the front desk, especially a few of the male attendants, had amazing service attitudes. I'll definitely be back next time!

I genuinely recommend this hostel with top-notch service! My entire experience was fantastic, completely free of any awkwardness or feeling like an outsider. The staff were incredibly gentle and patient; they proactively helped with luggage storage and patiently answered even the most minor questions, going above and beyond without any perfunctory responses. The hostel's atmosphere is also wonderfully managed – clean, cozy, genuine, and warm. Whether you're traveling solo or with companions, you'll feel a sense of belonging here. It's excellent value for money!

This was my first time staying in an all-female hostel, and I was so impressed! 🥳🥳 First off, the location is fantastic – just a few hundred meters from the metro station, with lots of great food options nearby. The front desk staff are super sweet and understanding. The rooms are incredibly neat and clean, and you're not allowed to eat in the sleeping area (which prevents odors – so thoughtful!). There's a dedicated vanity area, and the atmosphere is just lovely~ The common area is also decorated very warmly~ You often see groups of girls chatting and having meals together. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nanjing!

Backpackers Hostel (Shinian), a famous name among backpackers, and having read many reviews about its supposedly poor hygiene and slow elevators, I decided to book a stay in Suzhou. Honestly, it wasn't bad at all! The only real issue was the trash cans in the bathrooms; they weren't emptied frequently enough and often overflowed. The cleaning staff seemed a bit lazy – why can't they check the bathrooms once an hour? As for the elevators, I thought they were fine. With three elevators, I only had to wait a few minutes at most.

The front desk staff were incredibly helpful! They patiently answered all my travel questions and even helped me plan my itinerary. The common areas had a fantastic vibe – I spent evenings chatting and playing games with people from all over the world, and it never felt awkward. The facilities were very thoughtful, with a washing machine, dryer, and free drinking water all readily available; they really paid attention to the details. Excellent value for money! I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit and have already recommended it to my friends!

The owners are incredibly welcoming, and they have a very friendly black dog you can play fetch with. The place was fully booked that day, but the owner still offered a complimentary upgrade to a private room. The overall environment is lovely, featuring a small garden where you can swing. The rooms are also very cozy, giving you the feeling of stepping back into a quaint small town from over a decade ago. However, the cleanliness of the bathrooms and washrooms left something to be desired, making it perhaps best suited for guests who aren't too particular about their hygiene facilities.

It's very clean and hygienic. The aunties are very welcoming. It's very close to the train station, and it's very quiet at night, with little to no interruptions. The only thing I think is that the bathroom layout could be improved. It would be more convenient to have a shelf for clothes in the shower cubicle.

Very friendly front desk staff and good vibes. Rooms and bathrooms were clean. The owner went above and beyond to help me find a lost item as well.

Location is good and easy to find. 2 min away from metro. Downsyates there is a Starbucks and McDonald’s. The common area is huge. Cleanliness in common area is okay but rooms are cleaned every day. Everything on the same floor. Most hostel mates are long time living here

The location was absolutely perfect, I barely used the subway because everything was in a walkable or bike-able distance. It's also pretty close to a subway station. The service was extremely warm and kind, I was able to leave my bag at the lobby before checking in and after checking out. The lobby space was also nice to hang around. The rooms are great for the price, very clean and also very quiet at night. Overall a great experience as a solo traveler for a great price! Would love to visit again sometime.
