Hotel Hot Springs di Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan

I am glad that I booked this hotel instead of my original location at Gora. Even though it is not near Gora station but it made up for convenient Hakone buses just located outside the hotel. There is free hotel shuttle bus to Gora station. Do check the schedule. Service staff are very friendly and helpful with our request. Room amenities are wonderful and clean. The breakfast spread is so good and wide varieties. I would recommend to order the dinner as Hakone has very limited dining place for dinner. And I assure you will not regret. We throughly enjoyed the sumptuous spread. Food quality is fabulous. The free public & private (got to book and pay) onsen is good with good amenities. You can wear their yukata within the hotel. We would loved to revisit in the near future again!

Our experience staying in Hakone was perfect! We stayed at the Tensein in Hakone-Yumoto, an easy location to take the bus, car or train to some popular tourist attractions in the area. The check in itself was rather slow but the staff do their best to speak good English and discuss every detail about your stay with you. The room had everything we needed, the shampoo and conditioners provided was wonderful and there was a variety of products to use. On check in, the private onsen was given at 50% discount at 1,100 Japanese yen per use, we got 2 vouchers so used it 2 times (as we have tattoos we could not go into the public onsen). On check in you have to collect your towel and your choice of Yukata (traditional Japanese robe) which you’re welcomed and encouraged to wear around the hotel and gardens. The hotel is strictly no shoes, so upon arrival you leave your shoes in a locked box and keep the key. If you wish to walk around the beautiful gardens, there are slider type shoes available to slip on, as well as umbrellas to use if it’s raining. Outside they have a onsen for your feet to enjoy with a drink. All of the food and drink (apart from breakfast which was included) was put on our bill at the end. There was a wide selection of drinks, nibbles and food available for dinner and lunches at the dining room and there was a large buffet dining room for buffet breakfast and dinner (if you booked it). The hotel is just a short 10 minute walk to the town and 15 minute walk to the Hakone-Yumoto station. Visiting Mt Fuji is easy, with a bus ‘H’ running from stand 2 opposite the Hakone -Yumoto station. Get off at ‘Motohakone’. From there, you can take another bus and a train to get you to another town ‘Gora’ and surrounding attractions to enjoy.

Overall the stay is pleasant. It is a very unique experience bathing outside the room and its cold during spring. 🤣 The hotel provide a lot of free snacks, coffee and food according to time slot. The private onsen was nice. However, I would seriously recommend the hotel to gradually change the bed as it already sunken due to age. Will I go back? Probably no, as bathing outside though is an experience, not really suitable for us. Dont let this be a deterent to whoever is going to stay there. It maybe your preference 😆. If you staying there, make sure visit Coffee Camp. Their coffee is the best coffee I had during my trip to Tokyo. Tips: There is shortcut from Gora station to cafe.

房間很大，住起來很舒服，我們選了私湯，衹要在前台預訂交JPY2200就可以，早餐是日式的，會提前按照房間號準備菜品，就餐體驗很棒，價格在這個時間也算中等，交通很方便，在湯本站步行8分鐘的距離，適合第一次來旅遊的對這裏不太熟悉的人，晚飯可以步行到湯本站附近，不用爬山。唯一不太好的一個點是前台的小哥比較冷漠，會偏着頭説謝謝惠顧，眼神去向別處，感覺有點應付着，希望這一點能改善！

Arrived Haneda airport late. Took taxi to the hotel. ¥4400. Reasonable. Hotel service is excellent, realised I had claustrophobic and arranged a higher floor room for me. I stayed in 5 stars hotel before and they did not notice my request.  So Dormy Inn did provide a good service. The Natural spa on the upper floor is very good. Also the evening free noodle from 9:30pm. Highly recommend.  離羽田機場很近，坐計程車只要¥4400。 早上在川崎去品川很方便。天然溫泉很有日本風味，早餐很地道。性價比高。知道我有密室幽閉症，特別安排房間。之前住五星級酒店，也沒有留意我的要求。所以很讚這所酒店。我來日本也經常住這連鎖酒店Dormy Inn.  很推薦👍

Hakone Kowakien Ten-yu is a truly comfortable and relaxing ryokan that made our stay very enjoyable. The staff were attentive and welcoming from the moment we arrived by car, and they promptly helped unload our luggage and delivered it to the hotel. They also assisted with carrying our luggage back to the car during check-out. The room was well-equipped, clean, and very hygienic, and the high-floor view was wide and beautiful. Breakfast and dinner buffet were both satisfying, with delicious food and a good variety of choices. The onsen was also impressive, with two levels of outdoor baths that are alternated between men and women at different times, allowing guests to enjoy both. The water park-style onsen area was a bit less impressive, but overall, this ryokan deserves a very high rating. The official site highlights its open-air onsen, private baths in all rooms, and well-regarded dining, which matches the strong overall experience here

The room was nice and cozy with a private onsen on the balcony. It was a bit of a walk from the train station, which can be quite difficult when you have luggage. I thought it was a bit odd that we had to rent a yukata as it is normally provided in onsen hotels, but otherwise all else was good.

アルコール、ドリンク、パン、スープ、デザートなど無料の物が多くて凄く良かった！コミックコーナー、ダーツ、カラオケ、レンタルサイクルなどもあり充実してました！また泊まりたいです

The hotel is new and well operated. We have booked with breakfast and dinner buffet. There are various kinds of drinks provided, including whisky, wine, beer, soft drinks and fruit juice, worth for trying, but there are limited choices of food. The view of the room is perfect as you can see the lake and the cable car station without any obstruction from your balcony. The hot spring spa at the hotel is wonderful, with indoor and outdoor portion and outside the hot spring, there are kimono that you could choose to dress during your stay. There is a private spa room but it’s full during my stay so we could not try it.

Room is super small but if you're solo traveller it should be fine.   Overall is super clean though!
