Hi, I had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Ercilla for 8 nights over the past week and thought I would take the time to comment on one of best Marriott hotel experiences I have had for many a year. The hotel was in pristine condition, our room was a delight but most importantly the staff in the hotel were amazing. Id like to take time to mention a few of the staff members who went above and beyond to make all of my family's stay really special. At the reception we had the pleasure of being attended to by Jorge, was such a pleasure to chat with him and he was extremely efficient throughout our stay, a proper gentleman, who was a real delight to meet. The breakfast was really excellent, a great selection and again the hard working staff there went out of their way to make our 1st meal of the day a real delight. Id like to take the time mention all of the following members who we had the pleasure of meeting most mornings throughout our stay. Javier, the restaurant manager, every day went out of his way to be extremely friendly and welcoming ensuring we had the best table in the restaurant, himself and the restaurant receptionist Nahia were excellent organising everything for us each and every morning. The rest of the team, Victor, Wilson, Iñigo, Arnold, Gorka & Joseloa were also very very helpful and very efficient making sure tables were clear in super fast time and ensuring all guests needs were attended. It was a real treat to visit the restaurant each and every morning of our stay. I would also like to commend the housekeeping staff for be super friendly and very hard working, our rooms were always maintained very early which was brilliant and was such a help for our holiday as it enabled us every morning to go for breakfast and on our return our room was already serviced. It was a real treat for us to stay at the Ercilla a huge pat on the back to the management and staff of such a well run friendly hotel.

Good location, around a 10 min walk from the old town. Nice hotel, clean, modern. Had a family suite which was large. Staff were friendly. Small gym if you wanted a work out. Breakfast was good. Took the airport bus which was about a 15 min walk from the hotel. Ate at Hamburguerisa which was nice for a change - fancy burgers effectively, nice food even though the service was pretty awful. Also had some snacks at Las Muns which were tasty and ice cream at Nossi-Be which was on the way to old town.

This is a very modern and attractive hotel which is ideally located for transport links - railway, metro and airport bus, and walking distance to both the old town and the local restaurants and tapas bars of Abando. Our room was very comfortable with the quietist air-con we have ever encountered. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The only disappointment was the breakfast which has limited choice and is sited in a rather cramped basement room. Overall, it's very good value

Very good location. Right next to Guggenheim museum and red bridge. Well connected to the airport and Bilbao Internodal via Alameda Recalde ( 2 mins from the hostel). Comfortable beds (female dorm), very quiet room and no noise from outside, decent bathrooms and very clean too , decent sized locker(get your own padlock), very good bar and restaurant attached to the hostel, several bars around the area, nice and friendly staff. Cant get any more than this in a hostel.

Für die Fahrt von Deutschland Richtung Portugal hatten wir uns Bilbao für zwei Zwischenübernachtungen und natürlich auch den Besuch des Guggenheim Museums ausgesucht. Hier fiel bei der Suche gleich das Libere Appartement ins Auge, bietet es doch einen wunderbaren Blick auf das Museum. Preislich ist das schon relativ gehoben, wenn man für zwei ÜN 530€ bezahlt, wobei hier weder Frühstück (kann man separat buchen), noch ein Parkplatz (viel Erfolg bei der Suche) im Preis enthalten sind. Um das Gepäck auszuladen, kann man wohl mal zwei Minuten unten irgendwo halten, mehr ist aber nicht drin. Dann geht es erst Mal ins Parkhaus oder unten am Fluss auf Parkplatzsuche. Das Haus bzw. das Appartement betraten wir mit einem zwei Tage vorher erhaltenen Schlüsselcode, wer es noch bequemer mag, kann sich eine passende App runterladen und die Türen dann mit dem Smartphone öffnen. Das Appartement bot den versprochenen Ausblick und wir konnten von unserem Fenster direkt auf das Museum schauen, hier gibt es die volle Punktzahl. Auch die Sauberkeit war in Ordnung, das ganze Appartement inkl. Bad sogar barrierefrei. Die Ausstattung der Küche hingegen sehr ausbaufähig. Was bringt mir eine Kaffeemaschine, wenn keine Kaffeepads vorhanden sind? Sorry, das ist heute in jedem Durchschnittshotel Standard und es sollte wohl möglich sein, dass das Reinigungspersonal dann einfach zwei oder drei Kaffeepads hinlegt. Außerdem gibt es viele Teller und Besteck, in einem Appartement, das im Normalfall von zwei Personen bewohnt wird, aber keinen Zucker, kein Salz, kein Pfeffer. Ich vermute, dass ein Großteil der Gäste für ein oder zwei Nächte bleiben wird. Wenn man dann wirklich in der kurzen Zeit kochen möchte, auch Töpfe sind ja vorhanden, macht es schon Sinn die Basics im Schrank zu haben. Sicherlich keine große Investition für den Vermieter. Aber ein großer Nutzen für die Gäste. Ach ja, wer Kleinigkeiten auf die Schnelle benötigt: im selben Gebäude ist im Erdgeschoss ein Mini-Market, der eine bunte Auswahl an Allem hat. Nur natürlich nicht die passenden Kaffeepads. Aber das war ja irgendwie klar. Fazit: die Lage ist und bleibt perfekt (fünf Punkte), ansonsten ist mit wenig Mühe noch locker Luft nach oben (drei Punkte). Macht in der Summe vier Punkte.

This was the best catalonia hotel I have ever stayed in. If i could i would hive this hotel a six star rating.the staff were very helpful and welcomng. The receptionist maria was very friendly and checked us in very quickly.She also gave lots of information to us about what to do in bilbao he room was extra big with a lovely terrace.The most comfortable bed and soft pillows. The room was cleaned everyday to a high standard. The breakfast is top class very fresh and tasty with a huge variety. Irina was super and looked after us well. We had lunch in the hotel and it wax excellent value for money.A big portion and delicious. The bar staff were very attentive and served great cocktails and beer Mariia he bar waitress was excellent and very friendly. The spa was super with a a nove hydrotherapy pool and sauna and steam.room and the girl there was so. nice snd friendly I highly recommend this hotel.
