Il Best Western La Conchiglia è un hotel posizionato al centro del l'abitato di Palinuro in posizione sopraelevata da cui si gode di un panorama splendido sulla baia. Ha molti punti positivi tra cui la possibilità di scegliere la tipologia di soggiorno, noi abbiamo scelta la camera con balcone e vista panoramica, la pulizia è eccellente, il confort è notevole, la biancheria è di prima scelta, la climatizzazione è adeguata e non manca nulla come TV satellitare, frigo bar, WI FI, ascensore, infissi a chiusura ermetica, il parcheggio è adeguato alle esigenze ed illuminato al passaggio delle persone (da tenere in conto che l'abitato di Palinuro è stracolmo di abitazioni). Il personale è estremamente cortese e gentile e i cuscini sono di morbidezza variabile. Vi sono anche alcuni punti negativi e secondo la opinione personale penalizzano un poco l'hotel, la doccia è minimale, come struttura ed ampiezza (vetri e montanti di pessima plastica indegni di un hotel a tale livello), manca la possibilità nel bagno di poter poggiare un qualsivoglia oggetto, il letto, con ottimi materassi, matrimoniale era formato da due materassi uniti, in tal caso si sente la mancanza del topper, al nostro arrivo con pochissime presenze l'acqua era tiepida (29 settembre) nei giorni successivi, con più presenze, l'acqua era calda. Da ultimo in hotel viene dichiarata una distanza dalla spiaggia più vicina (ficocella) di circa 400 metri ma non si accenna minimamente a lla pendenza delle scali e del tracciato che è veramente impegnativo. Colazione molto buona fornita di tutto dal dolce al salato, ottime le mini sfogliatine e le crostate di ogni gusto. Da ultimo il costo, un poco elevato visto il periodo a cavallo tra fine settembre e i primi di ottobre.

Albergo molto accogliente, pulito, in ottima posizione. Le camere non hanno balconi ( unica nota negativa) ma in ogni piano c'è un balconcino con stenditoi, ha un bel terrazzo solarium e spazi esterni arredati. Il personale è molto cortese e disponibile. La colazione servita in veranda è abbondante e varia. Il lido convenzionato è ben organizzato e si trova con una spesa minima offre possibilità di pranzare ( panini, pizze o insalatone) per la cena il ristorante del lido convenzonato ( non conviene scegliere la mezza pensione in quanto le porzioni sono abbondanti e una cena completa basta sicuramente per due persone) offre ottimi piatti. Le camere hanno il condizionatore e sono fresche; l'albergo ha anche il parcheggio per le auto di cui non ho usufruito. Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.
