Lyndricks House

Depressing place, lacking basic things such as a working heater. I wanted to cry when I entered the room and I felt miserable because it's cold, they're refurbishing the building so it was noisy... It's a sad dirty place, the only nice thing is the building outside. The owners seemed that couldn't be bothered by any interactions or questions. I got sick because the windows are not insulated and only a thin duvet was provided, not even a sheet put in there. These people obviously don't care about guests at all and putting a kitkat in the room doesn't compensate for catching a cold.

Stayed for 1 night after a day at the races. The owners are very good hosts and very friendly. We stayed in the Annex which was great with all the facilities to self cater if you wish too we however went for the cooked breakfast oprltion which was nicely cooked and tasty there was, also a great choice of cereals fruit and homemade yogurt which my wife said was delicious. The property is immaculate and located on a quiet estate. There was a great pub/resteraunt within walking distance. If I the area again we would use Lyndrick and would recommend.

The accommodation itself was lovely, big and clean so no complaints there, however myself and 3 friends had booked a room which on the booking stated it was for 4 adults, when we got there the host was extremely rude and started off by saying ‘you’re not a family’ which we was not aware was an issue as the booking said 4 adults, there was no welcoming hello when we arrived, she continued to give us all attitude, one of us stated we had just been to a funeral and that was just wanted a place to stay, to which she responded ‘dressed like that?’ (As it was a colourful dress code), whilst I understand the room may have been intended as a family room, our booking seemed fine for 4 adults to stay, so whilst this may have been a miscommunication her automatic response was passive and extremely unwelcoming, which got my back up especially after a heavy emotional day. So please be aware the host is not welcoming for adults of groups bigger than 2, despite what it says on the booking system, she didn’t offer a refund, instead was trying to get us to pay more. Such a shame xxx
